    Enjoying lunch before a flight
    Danyel M.

Food was good. I ordered the Shane without bacon and my hubby ordered the Italian. We ordered the potato salad and a banana puddin'. When I got my Sammie I noticed there weren't any honey bbq Fritos on it and when I asked, they said they didn't have any. That was a bit annoying - they could have told me ahead of time. I was looking forward to those. The potato salad was close to expiration (within an hour or so) so that was a bit odd, but it tasted fine. All in all, I would go back but I'll be sure to ask whether any of the ingredients are outta stock.

I thought it would be bigger, but for airport prices and sizing, it wasn't too bad! This is a really nice quick option for to go food, since a lot of the other food options at JAX are sit down. But it still takes a hot minute for your food to be ready, so be aware of that before you order. I got the famous Peruvian, and I really enjoyed it! It comes with lots of meat, and I love the sweet sauce. It is a very wet sandwich if you let it sit though so it's probably best to eat it right away. I also got the banana pudding which was really good, especially with the slices of real banana. But it's another thing that you have to eat right away while it's cold.

Not that good. The sandwich was soggy even though it was toasted. The taste ran together and was mediocre. The sound in the area was so loud, I couldn't hear what was being asked of me by the person taking my order. The price for airport food was reasonable.

The staff was super friendly and answered all my questions and was so open to explaining the menu. This location is small, efficient and clean. They were a bit busy but my sandwich came out hot and perfectly prepared! Angies is a great stop on your way out of town for a laser taste of Jax

I ordered breakfast for the first time at Angie's Sub at Jax Airport. I ordered at about 5:30 AM. The person in front of me was having trouble so it was a long wait to order. I went with the bagel sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. I watched the employee place the bagel and all ingredients onto the toaster rack. And I watched my food as it was warmed. I had my sandwich in less than five minutes after placing my order. I originally thought they forgot the cheese because I'm used to it being placed on the egg. But I assume since they put it on a toaster oven rack that is why the cheese was placed on the bagel instead of the egg. The sandwich was OK, but nothing special. It was hot and satisfied my hunger. The bacon was the best ingrediant. I would eat here again as the sandwich was less than $6. And if you travel a lot you know that is pretty cheap for airport food.

This is a local place. The original is near the beach. I have never been to it but often heard about it, so when I saw it in the airport I thought I would check it out. You walk up to the counter to order and they make your sandwich to order. I was here for breakfast but they have the"famous Peruvian" available all day. This is their signature sandwich so I decided to try it. 5 different meats with cheese, Peruvian sauce with standard sub veggies. Toasted but not hot. The meats were thin sliced and there was plenty of it. You can only get a sub about 6 or 8 inches but it was enough. Happy to have local options in our airport.

3 deviled eggs come in the side order, they are good! Got the turkey club and added Fritos to it, super yummy! Subs came out fast You order at the counter but service was good

Love a sandwich shop in an airport. It's good to grab a sub for your plane ride in my opinion. That's why when I saw Angie's Subs, I knew I was gonna have a good flight. And let me tell, it wasn't a half bad sandwich. I got the Italian Sandwich and added mayo. Not far off from any of the other sandwich chains. I wasn't mad about it. The place itself is more than a kiosk, but less than an airport restaurant. There are stools to eat there if you want, but you're more than likely right near your gate because Angie's Subs is smack in the middle of most of the gates in the terminal. What lost some stars for me was the very unwelcoming demeanor from the staff. When telling them I wanted it "All the way" except tomatoes, the response I got was "well then not all the way". It was unnecessary. Won't stop me from coming back if I'm in this area of the Jacksonville Airport again.

Angie's is my go to spot when eating at the airport when waiting for my flight and it is always on point! Do it like a pro and make sure to add the crunchies aka the Fritos to any sandwich! The spot is small, but cozy enough to sit around 10 people, but why sit there when you can take it to go and it eat it during your flight, right?

    Elizabeth F.

Lack luster visit however will try again as I love that this is a local spot in the airport. Ample seating. No site specific restrooms but they are located right around the corner. Counter service and then your number is called. Similar sauces available to beach location. We started eating the food before I got a picture but you get a general sense of what you get.

I grew up at the beach and used to go to Angie's all the time so I was excited to find out they have one at the airport. This is as good as it gets for airport food. The sandwiches were almost as good as the real Angie's location and the prices aren't too crazy for airport food. The roast beef sandwich (minus) mayo on white tasted almost just like does at the real location and they're fast here so there's not much of a wait even with a line. The banana pudding was tasty and worth a try since it had been quite a while since I had it. They have a couple tables/chairs and a small counter with some seats if you can get one, otherwise you'll have to grab a seat in the airport to eat your meal. Oh and all the pilots and flight attendants were eating here which is always a good sign for an airport location. Angie's is a welcome addition to the airport and I'll be back here again.

I write this to you, my dear reader, from the counter at the Angie's Subs in the Jacksonville Airport after smacking my 2nd Peruvian sub of the day. I had one from their Jax Beach location for lunch, and after a 3 hour delay on my flight, the good lord forced my hand on my 2nd one of the day at their airport location... but actually it was almost as if something pushed me to eat another Peruvian sandwich... not a lot of good options in this airport... really makes you wonder....... y'all ever seen the Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt? I was initially hyper skeptical, as an iconic local spot that opens up another location is typically the first step in sacrificing the quality of a product in order to maximize profits. Just look at Erewhon, a sad case over there. It's one major downside of capitalism. However, that 2nd Peruvian sub was arguably better than the first. I was ready to write a sad, yet understanding 4 star review, but it shut me up really quick. Damn I'm BIG full now, but I already hit my 10k steps for the day so I deserved it. IMMA BEAST! Normally I'd do a full deep dive on how the combination of Ham, Genoa, Salami, Bacon, Italian Sausage, Peruvian Sauce, and the fixings on white bread blew my mind and left me with a huge smile on my face. I'd go on to highlight how I think it is Angies' proprietary Peruvian sauce that really makes the difference, but my flight is about to board so I gotta blow this popsicle stand. LOVE Y'ALL! I agree with Gabi's review, for airport food, Angie's Subs in Jacksonville is pretty good. I decided to try the famous Peruvian, which apparently is the number one seller. it comes with ham, salami, bacon, Italian sausage, provolone cheese, and Peruvian sauce, which tastes a little like mustard. The staff was friendly and the food was served relatively quickly. There are two small tables and a counter with a total of eight chairs where you can dine in while you wait for your flight. They also have banana pudding on the dessert menu, and I might try that next time if I ever find myself at Angie Subs in Jacksonville again. Cheers

Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The service throughout the visit was cheerful and attentive, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you enjoy restaurants that combine great brunch dishes, incredible desserts, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, Biscottis is definitely worth visiting.

The burger is greasy/wet, it is drenched in a bland cheese sauce, the meat is underseasoned, and the patty has no sear. Definitely not worth anything near the $21 cost. The salmon BLT is served on bread that is cut so thick you're mostly just eating old/stale bread, and the sandwich is also greasy. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.
