I have been trying to order donuts for delivery since yesterday and placed an order yesterday for such. All the items were canceled one by one except for the breakfast sandwich. I placed another order for this morning, for the same items and a bagel, but what I got wasn't at all what I ordered. I don't understand, if they were able to cancel items they didn't have yesterday, why wouldn't they do the same today? Instead, I got "Similar" items, even though I specifically marked in DoorDash to refund the item if missing. The menu also says "blueberry filled" donuts, and I got just regular blueberry donuts. And 2 lemon donuts turned into 2 lemon scones and 1 lemon filled donuts - the quantities don't even match. I can't make sense of it, and the box was taped shut, so it's unlikely the driver for DoorDash would be able to verify the items - since it was placed in advance, I'm assuming they set them aside, but obviously incorrectly. Options: So took a look at the case and there were doughnuts galore, along with bagels, muffins, croissants, and like mini croissant pig in a blanket things LOL. I also saw they had lemon glazed doughnuts.....interesting Today's featured doughnut choies: I chose a maple bar and glazed buttermilk bar. The maple frosting on top was delicious - not goopy and the sweetness contrasted the doughnut well. The buttermilk bar was (hate this word, but) bae! *Eyes roll back in head* Some crunch, some frost, some grease, some cakiness...so much flavor and perfect texture! I didn't see her do it, but the woman even threw in two WARM doughnut holes! I actually am not really fond of doughnut holes in general because I prefer the outside of the doughnut as opposed to the doughy inside, but even I couldn't not eat these! Prices are okay - doughnuts range from about 75 cents to 1.25, but let's be real. I want doughnut, I get doughnut. So dough not delay. Go here. The donut that I got was pretty good, but what I really appreciated about this place was the day-old donuts that they had for sale! On top of their fresh donuts, you can buy a bag of donuts (usually 4 full-sized donuts) for just $2! What a wonderful way to enjoy donuts and avoid food-waste. Bought a classic glazed and then a bag of buttermilk bars to bring back to my house. All delicious! If you go early in the morning, you can pretty much get any kind of donut in the day-old section. They bake everything fresh in their ovens, wide variety from bagels to bahn mi bread to croissants to donuts. Trick: they have oven warm banh mi bread!! Bahn Mi bread is more delicate than french bread because they use a combination of rice flour and wheat flour. Get the oven fresh bahn mi bread while still hot, throw on some plugra butter, will be the best lightest buttered bread you have ever had, better than any croissant I have had. Different light texture instead of using layered folded butter in dough like a croissant. Have to do this when the bahn mi is still oven warm. Owned by Cambodian Family. Very nice. They give you free samples of donut holes with each order. Freshly baked banh mi bread. Ask them to toast the bread when ordering a sandwich, especially if on Bahn Mi. Toasting brings out the contrast between the crunchy exterior vs. soft inside which is accentuated by using a mix of rice flour and wheat flour. No American style sandwich store like Togos, etc.. use this type of bread so you don't hear a crunch like a potato chip when biting into the sandwich. Owner made me a sample ham sandwich using banh mi bread. Was the best "panini" sandwich, as he called it, I ever had. Packs of day old donuts or bread, usually packs of 6 donuts for $1.00. Examine before buying to make sure they aren't moldy. Hard boiled eggs for sale also, good protein source to counteract overeating carbs. My coworkers and I work every Sunday and we get their 11c sandwiches at least twice a month. On the 12th of April I purchased 5 sandwiches and it was missing eggs. Today I went back and just told them what happened the week before after I ordered another 3 sandwiches and they immediately blamed their "boss" and remembered me. Stopped by around 430pm on a Sunday. The lady behind the counter was very friendly as she was starting to clean up shop. First visit, got the raised glazed, strawberry coconut cake, and maple bar. Glazed was very soft and airy, exactly what I would expect from a good donut. Strawberry cake was semi crunchy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because this is a take-out only place, so if you need to have a sit-down, this won't work. But on every other count that matters this place is a hidden gem. An amazing selection of breakfast items, a full staff for fast, friendly service, great prices on fresh baked goods, coffee, drinks, day-olds, and even delicious tamales for a very reasonable price! They seem to squeeze in more value or have some new offering every couple of weeks. So they may not have tamales every day, but maybe some other delicacy will take its place. Behold: tucked a few fronts away from the 7-11 was this actual doughnut shop! Its wares are in sharp contrast to the cramped yet austere decor. If you like your 'nuts a bit on the oversized side, and fluffy to boot, then this place might be right up your alley. The prices are reasonable as well: a little over a dollar per treat. But the sandwitches OMG are the best, they have literally a 2 walls full of choices. The crossiants sandwhiches are my go to. Its always fresh, good portions, and made how you like. Swung by near 8pm on a Tuesday, and it was deader than a doornail. It was kinda like a hole in a wall kinda place; perfect for donut holes I guess. The lady looked sterner than my wicked of a first grade teacher. I only wanted to get one glaze , $.85, but she got this imma-beat-you-with-a-cane-if-u-only-order-one fiery stare, so I got 3. Turned out she was so nice, she gave me extra donut holes. Little did I know the 5-minute donut shop experience reinforced what I learned from first grade. Look can be deceiving guys. This place has been around forever and i never stepped down in until now. There's some construction going on right now so it's hard to see. Got a blueberry filled, glazed and cruller. This isn't a donut store, it's a donut party! Daily Donuts is my new go to donut shop for Friday yummies for my co-workers. Not only is it super cheap ($15.00 for 2 dozen donuts) but the donuts are usually still warm when you get them. They've got the usual varieties and service is very fast. Probably because it seems as though there's at least eight or nine people working at the same time. I'm in and out of there in less than 10 minutes even when the store is packed. They also have bagels and croissants. And they have day old donuts lined up on a rack right by the front door. They probably have other items I just haven't noticed but between the big screen T.V., the multiple employees all stumbling over each other and the non-stop line of customers, my head is spinning when I walk out of there. It was National Donut Day so I just had to stop by for a dozen. Not all for me though I swear! Shoot I wish I could eat a dozen in one sitting. I'm just not as young as I used to be. After visiting three other stores that were either closed or SOLD OUT, I called Daily Donuts to see what their donut sitch was like. The lady who answered said they had a few left so I hung up (probably didn't even say goodbye) and drove right over. And luckily they had enough left for me to mix and match my way to a dozen donuts--some glazed, some maple bars, some chocolate, some custard-filled, some old-fashioned, and some twisty. I brought them over to a local brewery and shared them with the other patrons and felt like a Santa Claus-Jesus hybrid. I was a hero and savior all at once. I'll be back again.
