This place is off the hook incredible! I drive 2 hours for their tri-tip and special BBQ sauce which I buy during every visit! The staff is very professional and they play great music while dining. There are just a few tables if you want to dine in otherwise get it to go! Dont leave the area without stopping here! read more

**Literally typing this while waiting on the last plate I'll ever order from here** I usually try very hard to give second chances. Coming here for the second time because it's close to my job and just overall wanting to support this business and excited about a close BBQ option. I advised one of the possible owners of my first experience with the food and his explanation was "well I don't know who was here, but I made the (catfish) batter myself today " I left it alone and didn't tell him that he in fact was the one who prepared my food the first time But Oh...Ok Dry, unfriendly, disengaged staff, and The food was mediocre at best. Extremely disappointed and hated to have to yelp this because I am a business owner whose work is centered around excellent customer service but here we are... I've had better for less and will not be returning. ***UPDATE The catfish was a tad... (tad) bit more seasoned, the single mild link is fine if you have a hankering for some BBQ. Just noticed that a dry half end of the bread was shoved in with the two other pieces... I still stand by my post. read more

I always drive by this place and finally decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I tried it! I got the rib entree with potato salad and Mac and cheese. The ribs were absolutely delicious and perfectly tender with an amazing and flavorful BBQ sauce. This place is truly a hidden gem. The sides were also fairly good, but let's be real you don't go to a BBQ joint for the sides. I would highly recommend this place and you can bet that I will be coming here on a regular basis now. I don't understand how they are not higher rated on Yelp as it's truly delicious food and it is very reasonably priced. The staff was kind and got the food ready in a very timely manner. There is limited seating inside so be prepared to take your food to go or if you can't wait you can grub in the parking lot. read more

This is a truly mixed review. Me personally, I would say 2 star and never return. My fiancé said 4 stars and he would return. We order $100 worth of food - ribs, links, tri-tip, potato salad, Mac &cheese, banana pudding, peach cobbler and koolaid. First off, the koolaid wasn't even RED koolaid. Smh the banana pudding was a NO. Now the peach cobbler was bomb!!!! The ribs were seasoned good but not tender. For whatever reason they left the fat on. My dog enjoyed them. The potato salad was "different." Mom and kids didn't like it but fiancé ate it. My mom said the greens were good and fiancé said green beans were good. Links were good but the muffins were terrible to me, by mom liked them. So take this review as I'm picky eater or I just had a mimics higher expectation. read more

Meat(tri-tip) was great! Customer service was horrible Potato salad is disgusting! I've tasted bad but this one beats all of those, the pickles or whatever it is, made is sour! Yuk! Mac n cheese could've been better.. way to much pepper that should be optional! Tried it ! Next time I'll just buy the tri-tip my potato salad and Mac n cheese is way better than this! 3 STARS IS FOR THW MEAT ONLY! Also why do you upcharge 3$ for Mac n cheese it's a side.. shouldn't do that! I get up charging for ribs, but a side dish ?? read more

My favorite BBQ joint in the area! We always get the 3 meat combo. Ribs, tri tip and sausage with greens and potato salad. The servings are huge that my husband and will share a plate for dinner and there will still be enough serving for 1 person for lunch the next day! The meat are tender and the sauce are incredible! read more

First time eating at this place. I got to say nothing blew me away. It was ok BBQ at best. The Mac and cheese to me seemed like the noodles where boiled to long. The greens are good need more flavor salt to say the least. The ribs they but into small pieces I my self don't like that. The tip tip was dry. Chicken was the best of the 3 meats oh and the corn muffin for $2 not worth it it was burnt and small. Don't think I'll be going back. This is just my option tho read more

THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB! Just moved into the area and got tagged on an Instagram post. We planned / Went in opening day to the new location and it was hoppin. I've been Comin to dads for years since Pittsburg days, they never disappoint. Until today. The food tasted old like they just warmed up left overs. The greens tasted like it was steamed way too long and tasted watered down. So did the green beans. I'm speaking as someone who comes to dads frequently and orders the same things religiously. Somethin wasn't right at all. It was watered down and old. Period. And they didn't give me my bread or forks. Terrible. Iono what y'all on but this ain't it. And if y'all pickin on customers that's worse. read more

Food is just ok, their sauce is good. Chicken was dry, brisket was tough. They need not even sell sides, how do you mess up baked beans.

Food is outstanding. Service is with sincere kindness. Ambiance is clean with a great story of the conception of the business.

I used to rant and rave about how much I love Dad's and told everyone I could this was the best BBQ this side of the hill. I've been going for over ten years since they were in Pittsburg. The new location is lacking to say the least in the quality and service compare to the beloved Pittsburg location. My order is either undercooked or wrong every time I've gotten anything from the new location. The kids that are working there (which is new/different kids each time, which isn't a good sign), are rude and lazy. I've seen other people wait over 30 minutes multiple times for the most basic order and then the kids have to discount or refund them for the terrible job they're doing. This used to be my favorite spot, but the amount they're charging for the quality/service is not up to par with the Pittsburg location. It's sad and disappointing. I spend almost $50 to get home and find out they gave me the wrong order 3 out of the last four times. I opened my order to make sure it was right, but I guess I have to taste the food before I leave, because it looks good on the outside, but has been the wrong sauce, wrong kind of link, or so undercooked to the point of possible food poisoning. It's ridiculous and sad a place I loved for so long has become a hit or miss instead of the go to spot. Update: Eriesha, I did not grab the wrong bag, it had my name on it. It's the workers who are not making the correct orders. I ordered ahead and it was ready when I got there. I've never had a problem waiting for my orders, but I always see other people having to wait a lot longer than they should. A lot of kids hanging around/looking at their phones instead of working. read more

I wish I took a photo. Last night was my first experience with Dad's BBQ. I got a half slab of ribs for take out. With mild sauce. Smelled good in the car. Got them home and they were great from the first bite to the last! Will definitely be back. I just wish they had brisket. read more

Went to Dad's BBQ for the first time. I ordered 2 two way combos, ribs/chicken with potatoes salad and baked beans and the other with potatoes salad and greens. The flavor is good. Not too rich and not bland. The potatoes salad was good. The baked beans were good. Taste like pork n beans with some sauce added. I thought the sides could have been a tad bit more. They give 4 bones with the ribs. Didn't like all the fat on them. The medium sauce taste mild. The workers who helped me were nice and polite. Don't currently offer a to go menu but have the menu on a computer screen in the restaurant. read more

I placed an order, through Door Dash. I pay for a service & expect to get what I've ordered. Customer service, as a whole, has gone down hill. I placed an order & I expected to get what I paid for & that didn't happen. I tried to call & express my complaint, with no luck. Why can't people get what they've paid for? I work hard for my money & when I want some lunch, I would like to get what I've ordered, that's all! Where's the beans? Here is a copy of my transaction & a picture of my order. Food is outstanding and plenty of it. We have eaten here a few times. It's the only bbq place we will eat out in our area.

Today was my first time having Dad's BBQ and I must say this is worth more than 5 stars. My husband and I shared a 4 way..we choose tri tip, rib tips, ribs and mild sausage and it was more than enough food for the both of us. The Potato Salad and Baked Beans were so flavorful and were the perfect pairing to the meats we choose! My husband loved the cornbread muffins. He said they were so flavorful and moist. We had this meal DoorDash. Next time we will dine in. Our food arrived fresh and still hot. The level of care they take in preparing our meal reflected in the manor it was delivered to us! Thank You. We were so hungry I forgot to take a picture lol! read more

I don't like to do this but I have never known anyone to boil BBQ and not grill before selling. My links and ribs were boiled then bbq sauce was added. And you got more bone than ribs for the money you have to pay. It was not good to me. I will never go back there again. The sides of potato salad & Mac and cheese were just okay. But if you like the way they prepare their food continue to go. read more

I'm glad to see a barbecue place in this part of town. Ill start off by saying the meat was ok. I had the chicken and rib tips. The taste was ok. I just don't like my barbecue drowning in sauce. The baked beans were ok as well, nothing too spectacular since it taste canned.. The potatoe salad wasn't good at all. It wasn't mixed well at the bottom of my plate and had no flavor. The top of it was more mashed. I loved the taste of the sweet potato pie but was disappointed how I got it. I will give it another try with less sauce and definitely not the potatoe salad. read more
