Ok my daughter loved the food. I ordered prawns and wings. They gave me 4 big prawns and 3 pieces of chicken. Cost was $21. I also ordered a lemonade which was $3.99 and that was hella good. I am so glad that this location is here now. I ordered almost $140 just to try a bunch of dishes that they offer. The red snapper and white fish were my favorite. The fried chicken, my son loved and the french fries were nice and crispy with special seasoning on them. They also have a lemonade with several different flavors you can add to it was a nice touch. But the jambalaya wasn't so much of a hit for me right along with the mac & cheese. I had to go back a week later for the fish combo and the service was good, the guy there was funny with a lot of humor. We love this place. We always get the fried catfish and fries. The catfish is always fresh and crispy. If it is too crispy, you can ask them to fry it softer (which older people enjoy). The tartar sauce and hot sauce are also great. For sides, we like the beans and rice. The cakes are good too - especially the red velvet. Highly recommend. read more

The JJ Fish and Chicken at the new location does not serve the same quality of food from the previous location which is ironic given it's in a way better location. The chicken wings were not as big and overcooked along with the red snapper. The quantity is less and let's not even talk about those mini party wings. I write this review being a little reserved because it's NEVER my intentions to deter anyone from trying a new business. This is MY experience and I choose to share it. On this day they did not provide good service. I spent $30 and it went all in the trash. Fish is good, but not too crazy about the sides. Location is sketchy, but so is the location of every JJ establishment that I've been to. I really wish fries weren't automatically a part of an order. Not everyone wants them, and by the time one gets home with their food, the fries are cold and inedible anyway. The catfish is GOOD! However this place seems to be located in the hood, no matter the location. But this specific location has a hood infestation. We went to pick up our food and these dudes was playing dice out in front of the place. Who does that? Don't get me wrong, I'm from LA, but I'm not with this!!
