This was ur first time here I ordered the Rasta pasta with chicken and sausage and it was amazing. My partner had the lobster and shrimp garlic noodles it was so flavorful, he can't wait to go back. We walked in to place our order to go they had a kiosk, which was pretty awesome and the employees were really kind and helpful. It was a very colorful and lively looking place, they even had games on every table to keep us entertained as we waited for our food. 10/10 would highly recommend! read more

Tease Southern Kitchen - Rasta pasta with sausage and chicken - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Antioch, California

Ok so I almost drove past this place and I'm SO glad I didn't. Tease Southern Kitchen is tiny and easy to miss but don't let that fool you. First thing... you order from a kiosk when you walk in. Kinda cute honestly. The spot is small but they have TVs going and little Connect Four games on the tables so it has a fun vibe. Nicole was working and she was genuinely warm and welcoming. Not that fake "hi welcome in" energy . She actually made you feel like you were supposed to be there. I did my research before going so we passed on the catfish (the reviews on that were not it). Instead I got the Large Garlic Noodles, Chicken & Sausage Rasta Pasta, and the Crawfish & Sausage Mac N Cheese. All three were hitting. Like actually good, not just hype good. After the food came I decided to try the watermelon lemonade and that was a solid decision. Not too sweet, really refreshing. For dessert we grabbed the Peach Cobbler out of the display case. It came in a little tin that it was made in, and it was slightly dry, but the flavor was there. Tasty, just needs some work. Came out to $70.25 total which honestly felt right for what we got. We will be back to try more stuff for sure. Maybe the protein items next time. read more

This is a small spot in Antioch area. I've seen the place but never have thought to stop in and now we have. I think it's a family owned business. Anyway, so as you walk in you can order thru the kiosk or at the register. So we decided to eat in. Just forewarning there's not a lot of tables inside. I've noticed people come in to pick up orders when we were there. But I felt like we brought in customers because there was no one in there but as we sat down people were in and out. Haha. I wish I had those powers. Anyways, I love how while you wait for your food they have board games on the table, so you're not anxiously or impatiently waiting (insert smile). So when our food finally came it smelled so good. The portions are huge I'd say it's enough for two. My friend ordered the vegetarian Rasta pasta and I had the garlic noodles and Asian sticky prawns. The food was nice and hot. Not warm hot! Oh my gosh! It was scrumptious! I need to come back and taste other items on the menu. FYI, the price is not bad for a plate, $15-20 a plate depending on what you order. I ordered one of their tropical drinks, the mango flavored one. I have to be honest they need to work on that one because it just tasted really sweet and I couldn't taste the mango. It was good but the fruit flavor isn't there. Overall experience was great. I'm definitely coming back!!! read more

First time trying this spot. Heard good things. Decided to come here and get some food for dinner. Service was friendly and fast. Small inside the inside but you could eat there if you want. Food was hella good. Especially the chicken and desserts. Get the Mac and cheese!! read more

Food was mid maybe they need a new cook because they use to be decent but a bit salty! I ordered the fried shrimp with garlic noodles and the Basa with garlic noodles! A frozen lemonade and a frozen Margarita that was $68 and I threw it all away! Please try it for yourself but I've tried this place multiple times and nothing hit like the first time everyone after that was a disappointment including this one so with that being said I really tried to like it and support my ppl but it's a no from now on! read more

Wow! Just wow!!! I was in the mood for seafood but the turkey leg was calling my name & I answered! I ordered takeout... Watermelon Lemonade -5outta5 I wish I could buy it by the gallon. So refreshing, not too sweet, only thing missing was an accompanying shot. Collards 5outta5 Straight from Granny's kitchen. Tender & full of flavor. Turkey leg w/sausage & crawfish mac 5outta5 Off the charts! This was better than a serving from the now defunct Turkey leg Hut in Houston, TX. Turkey was tender & full of flavor. I don't know if it was the turkey, the mac or both but the smoke, herbs & seasonings almost had me speaking in tongues. If you like turkey legs #GoTaste&See read more

Customer service was great. The fish was rubbery i dont thi k they are using catfish. Also ordered fries chicken it was obvious that it was prepared in old grease. You could taste the overused grease and you could also tell by the color and texture of the skin o. The chicken. read more

You can smell the deliciousness down the street before you even get there. The kind owner provided white glove service and everything I tried was so yummy. The Korean bbq wings are the way to go. I want to go back and just eat all the sides. read more

What a terrible experience. Ended up throwing away $100 worth of food. The fried fish was rubbery, chewy and overcooked. The chicken wings were dry and chewy and felt like a bomb of salt exploded in your mouth. The chicken sandwich was dry as well and just lacked anything resembling a Nashville hot sandwich. The only thing decent was the garlic noodles but they were also a bit chewy. Worse part is that we have had stomach aches since we ate that food. Never again read more

The food here is hella good I ordered the wing combo and it came with two sides; I chose Brussels sprouts and jambalaya and a side churro waffle. My husband got the Rasta Pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavorful . Yall gotta go show some love and support. The staff is friendly and respectful, nice choice of music, a few table games, good portions and prices, and a nice location for Antioch. We will be returning most definitely. Support, support, support! Power to my people . read more

Tease Southern Kitchen - T-Rex Turkey Leg - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Antioch, California

The chef a woman HELLOO I got the stuff turkey leg, chicken and waffle and a side of yams. Everything Tenderism! The chicken was so juicy and crispy. I'm like do they brine the chicken never had it that juicy. The fruit on top was plump and fresh! Was it picked today? The churro waffle amazing. No powdered sugar but it tasted exactly like a churro! The crawfish Mac n cheese with sausage was not skimpy at all. The yams were cut differently for me but could replace most of my families yams!! U order from a kiosk but she made sure to say hi from the back and smile. Her energy is everything. The blended drinks wasn't good too artificial for me but I appreciate the options here seriously. Could maybe replace the syrups with maybe a small company that makes them. We had the mango flavor and it stayed in my mouth. Good music a bit loud but it allowed us to have a conversation without being heard by others here. So it wasn't that loud I would live to eat here again. They have games on the tables!! Helps forget the wait time which wasn't long but was a nice touch. $70 was a bit much but after diving in girl gon head it was worth it. Will be back. Thank you for the experience. read more

This was my second visit. The $26 lobster mac n cheese was previously individually baked and served in a 9" pie tin. Now it is just scooped out of a large batch and dumped into a much smaller container. About 1/3 of the volume and lacking the density and cheese crust of the original. For the same price The menu continues to display the original preparation. Disappointed. Won't be back. read more

Growing up in Texas I have VERY high standards on BBQ/anything labeled, "Southern," and this place is THE SPOT!! We got the T-Rex leg and the meat was so tender! I've had many State Fair/Carnival Turkey legs and I've never had one with the meat fall off so effortlessly AND still have hella flavor! The pasta, lobster, and sausage added a unique flavor and was a delicious twist! Did I mention the Turkey leg was HUGE?! Literally the size of my forearm. They have margaritas and they are top notch! You don't even need to ask for a double shot like other places where they water it down. The peach cobbler was peachin and the crust was just right. The owners and staff were very friendly! The mural they have on the wall was beautifully done and reflects the theme! The atmosphere is welcoming and I love the way they decorate for the holidays/time of year. If you made it this far in this review, what are you waiting for?! Order and dig into this southern style cookin! read more

A true hidden gem. Everything is delicious. I had the honey fried chicken over garlic noodles and I was not disappointed. I try to look for family owned restaurants, the ingredients are usually fresher, and the food is cooked with love and care. I found all of that here. The family who owns the restaurant are also the chefs. They are incredibly kind, and if you ask them for their favorites, they'll never steer you wrong. Please support black owned businesses. Stumble on this place in downtown Antioch . My granddaughter was chasing the bubbles at the corner and I seen this place and if I really like somewhere, I always try to give it a good review. This one is definitely five star . If you're gonna get some wings, this is the place. The wings had so much meat on them better than any other wing place that I've been to around this area. Also, the cornbread was very good. I can't say enough about this food. I can't wait to try the rest of the food. Definitely recommending this place to my friends and family!!! read more

My husband and I found ourselves in Antioch, hungry for lunch. We quickly turned to Yelp for options, and this place was at the top of the list. We were excited to try a new experience! I give 4 stars for both the Oxtail, Seafood platters and the friendly service. The Oxtail was cooked to perfection; the meat was tender and effortlessly fell off the bone. It was well-seasoned with a nice hint of heat, though I wished for just a bit more spice. The portion was adequate for sharing, and the sides were delicious--though we would have loved a larger serving of Mac and cheese as well as the Brussels sprouts. The seafood platter was excellent, with each piece perfectly coated in cornmeal and crispy. We also tried the peach cobbler, but it was less enjoyable. The cinnamon was a bit overpowering, and the pastry dough could have benefited from a few more minutes in the oven. Additionally, the peach-to-pastry ratio felt a bit off. As a pastry chef, I typically refrain from voicing my opinions in reviews, but I share my thoughts in hopes that my next experience will be significantly better. Cheers, I will stop by next time I am in the area! read more

This was the first time visiting this place for me and my wife. In my wife's voice, "Baybeeee!" The food was outstanding. We ordered: T Rex Turkey Wing w/sausage and crawfish Mac n Cheese. Large portion that was tender and flavorful! 5/5 Rasta Pasta w/Chicken and sausage. OMG! 5/5. Asian Sticky Prawns over Garlic Noodles. 5/5. A little short on the noodles and 1 short on the prawns but taste is to die for! Balsamic Brussel Sprouts. Great taste just not a big portion for the cost. 5/5 We definitely recommend this to all. We will for sure be back! The service was above and beyond. It was a pleasure to visit a place and everyone is friendly. read more

The service and the food. The music adds a positive vibe to the atmosphere.I recommend this place.

I got the shrimp and garlic noodles. It was delicious. I would highly suggest this place.

Lacked flavor and String beans tasted straight out of the can with garlic put in it. Fish was dry and chewy. Wasted my money trying this place and will be the last. Not a southern hospitality read more

I arrived just before closing and ordered from the kiosk, the staff offered assistance and I refused cuz I'm a big boy and I can order from a kiosk all by myself. I ordered a turkey wing with the Rasta pasta and a platter that came with fish and shrimp. It was quiet, clean not busy so I entered my name in kiosk as greatest man alive. It was an all female staff and the First Lady who pulled ticket, smiled and said greatest man alive. I responded oh did you call me? She smiled said no and they proceeded to prepare my order. Food done, and second female has to call my name for order, but I'm the only customer at this time. She looks at ticket laughs, and reluctantly says "order for greatest man alive? I said huh hoping she would repeat but I still had my Bart Simpson moment . Oh yeah the food was made fresh tasted good and I'll be back for another turkey leg but with a new name. Good food go and get you some. read more

It was my first time dining at the Tease restaurant, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. I placed an order for the fried fish, while my colleague opted for the seafood platter, both to go. Upon arriving home, I complemented the Basa fish with a fresh salad. It was my first time trying Basa, and I was delighted by its exquisite seasoning and perfect frying technique. The establishment maintained an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness, with all the cooks diligently wearing gloves while handling food, which was particularly reassuring to me as someone who is quite cautious about hygiene. I am pleased to have discovered a new soul food restaurant that I can confidently patronize for its delectable offerings. It is worth noting that their menu boasts a comprehensive selection of items, catering to a wide range of preferences. 211 G St, Antioch, CA 94509 read more

We ordered Mac and cheese and a tray of dressing for Thanksgiving. Both dishes were amazing and so yummy!!!

It took us 56 minutes to get our food. The oxtail combo was pretty good but definitely not worth 56 minutes of wait time. The chicken tenders and fries were below average and the Cajun garlic noodles were not worth it. The ones I make at home are actually way better. But the service and wait time was horrible. read more

To be one of the first soul food restaurants I visited in Antioch CA, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Just knowing that this is a new up and coming business makes me appreciate it more. Most of the people were ordering take out, as far as the ambiance while waiting for your food the cashier made sure it was a pleasant wait. I don't have a picture of the food because after one bite of the stuffed turkey leg and the pasta I literally didn't have time to share the before but I should've showed the after.
