#3 beef and chicken kebab with rice
    Jas L.

The prices have gone up but that is to be expected post Covid era. The taste is still consistently the same! #1 kebabs in Richmond in my opinion. They have a cute AI robot which delivers bread to your table, which is nifty! Daddy's Grill is turning into GrandDaddy's Grill lol as my toddler turned teen to this day still loves going to this Richmond gem.

Decent Persian place around No5 and Cambie. Don't let the name fool you. It's not western food. Basically this place is Cazba meets Richmond. Parking is available in the lot next to the building. Not too many spots. The seating area is L shaped, and the place isn't open too late. By 1730 half the seats are already place on the tables. Staff are friendly but the service is slow. Some customers in front of us were loudly complaining. My food also took a while to arrive. The kebab platters aren't arranged too logically on the menu. Basically there is a choice of skewers (chicken or beef), and a choice of carbs (pita or rice). I confused myself and ordered the pita by accident. The pita is hard and dry. Get the rice ($1 more) instead. You can thank me later. Knock 0.5 stars off for the confusing menu. Pricing is definitely more than Cazba, so it's not particularly worth the trip out here. But it's not a bad choice if one wants this kind of food in the area.

This was an amazing restaurant. The chicken was the best cooked chicken we had ever had. This was our first meal when landing in Vancouver and we still talk about how amazing it was. The service was quick and the vibes were kind. We can't wait to go back. the chicken was literally mouthwatering. I could've probably eaten another skewer it was soooo delicious.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Come for beef kababs. Leave happy. Repeat. :) === 2. FOOD There is not an extensive menu available, but if you're into kababs, you're in for a treat! The Cholo Vaziri ($15.99): the best bet when trying the place for the first time. A chicken skewer and a beef skewer sit atop a bed of rice accompanied by a salad, tzatziki sauce, and a grilled tomato chunk. The beef is tender, the chicken less so, but still pretty good. The salad is fresh and rice tasty enough to consume in one sitting! === 3. SERVICE For the very first visit here, the lady helping us was patient in explaining the options and the speed of food prep was reasonable given the busy environment. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It would have been more like an L-shaped pub in pre-COVID days, with its darker interior, soccer scarves hanging on the walls/rafters. Nonetheless, it's got space for wheelchairs and baby strollers, particularly since it's only a takeout operation now. Parking is the only challenge here, with very limited parking in the facility's lot.

This is a very good Mediterranean restaurant. The food was extremely fresh and very flavorful, and the portion size was very large. Each platter came with a very good salad, rice and a kebab of choice. If you are in the Vancouver Canada area, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Koobideh is flavored well! The service is very, very good. The only critique I have is that the menu is a bit limited. It really only has kabob. There is no Persian tea, stews, or mast-o-khiar, and they were out of doogh when we went in. Ambiance is nice! A bit busy though so I'd recommend calling ahead.

After coming here for the first time with my partner who high recommended it, I was blown away - the food was fresh (you can literally watch them make it in front of you), delicious and amazing! The owners and staff are amazing and can't wait to come back to this place.

A photo of the owners! They're there everyday and put so much love in their kitchen to serve to us!

After coming to this place for months, I can see where the heart and the soul is. The owners and the staff are amazing people. That's what keeps the customers. It's the love behind the location that keeps this place going! I can't stop saying such amazing things about this place! I'm so glad to have come to this place by curiosity! This place has my heart and has a special place in my stomach! :)

Cholo Vaziri - one skewer of juicy chicken and one skewer of seasoned ground beef, served with basmati rice

I was starting to get tired of the trek to North Vancouver for our go-to Persian spot whenever visiting Vancouver, so this time wifey and I decided to try a place we'd heard a lot about - Daddy's Grill. I ordered the Cholo Vaziri - one skewer of juicy chicken and one skewer of seasoned ground beef, served with basmati rice. Wifey ordered the Cholo Kebab - two skewers of seasoned ground beef, served with basmati rice. At all Persian restaurants, my preferred method is to get a bit of meat, a bit of rice, and a bit of grilled tomato in each bite. And at Daddy's Grill, each bite was delicious - the kebabs were juicy and flavorful, the tomato added a nice contrasting flavor, and the rice was a decent foundation for it all. So it was a great success, we no longer have to go to North Vancouver for our Persian fix!

This place is incredible!!! Food is always fresh and delicious!!! A little pricey but worth it. Larger portions. Flat bread is awesome. Wrap is not drowning in sauces like many other the Donair places.

I was so hungry I took a bite without (gasp!) taking a pic first lol

Hands down the best Persian food in Richmond. What once was a small take out shop with little room to sit is now a full scale restaurant. When they moved over a spot (a little while ago now) they did a nice and tasteful renovation. Simple and clean with lots of seats. The service is always quick, friendly and attentive. Now let's talk about the food. So delicious- I mean everything on the menu. The meats are flavourful, well seasoned and juicy. The fresh baked naan seals the deal big time. Living in Richmond my default is always Asian food but second to that is Middle Eastern and this place is tops in my book I wish I lived a little closer but the drive isn't bad. The parking isn't the best but you can manage.

We picked the original beed noodles and the portions were big I personally couldn't finish it at once but still craving it. The place was nice and clean I just wished they had air conditioning because eating this soup in a 21c outside made me sweat lol but it was aired quite well. They also serve free hot date tea which was nice but it was hot so U couldn't drink much, I wish they offered some ice as well lol. The soup needed a little sour kick to it and they had rice vinegar on the table but it needed more of a lime that will make it prefect. The noodles were hand made and delicious by them selves. The service was quick and they also offer free wifi if you need to do some work cause despite its a noodle place its looks like a good spot for some work as well. However, I highly recommend this place.

They have a small menu of their beef noodles and appetizers/side dishes. You order at the counter, and get the tray and cold dishes there. They'll bring the noodle to you if you are dining in. Place was filled for Sunday lunch, but mostly because the space is small. Got a plate of the assorted cold appetizers/side dish for like $8, and the Lanzhou beef noodles for $15-ish. Side dish was seaweed, tofu skin and cucumbers. Pretty decent tasting and opens up the appetite, albeit a little on the oily side. The beef noodles come in a good sized bowl. Quite a bit of noodles, not a lot of beef. Noodles were really good, got just enough chew on them to be satisfying. The broth was very flavorful beef broth, on the saltier side as typical of northern Chinese food. The beef was okay. I understand there probably won't be that much at this price point, probably would look better if they had thin slices rather than small cubes. Overall, solid Lanzhou beef noodle joint. Also the food is halal for those looking for a halal Chinese food option.

It's in an industrial park, and the place has a tiny pastry area in the bottom and an upper dining room. You order in the cafe area, and the food is sent up via number system and dumb waiter (SO cool). Service was one person and two cooks, so it's not immediate, but it's all made fresh and you can taste it. My Russian friend advised me on what to get, so we went with Khinkali and Khachapuri (sans meat). We also got what is on the menu as "jingle bread" and a beef kabob wrap. I had to get some kvass and pickles, too. I would get the dumplings, wrap, and kvass again in a second. Not that everything wasn't delicious, but my stomach is only so big and I need to try everything else on the menu. Khinkali is effectively a gigantic soup dumpling (HIGHLY recommend, but don't eat the stem!), and the meat in the beef kabob was similarly spiced. I fell in love with the lavash bread - it wasn't like anything I'd ever had. It was light, flaky, and I didn't feel overloaded with bread eating it like I do with most wraps. Kvass is slightly alcoholic, and it's technically a cereal based fermented drink, so it tastes a carby. It's a bit far for me to go with any regularity, but if I'm up around the airport, I will definitely keep it on my list of places to recommend and re-visit.
