Return or not return?…read more Return, but.... Had combo plate, chicken bowl, schwarma pide. Liked both the meat and chicken, but rest of family thought the chicken was too dry. Other issue with chicken is it had skin and chunks of fat that detracted from the experience. Disliked the fact they charged to have sauce on the side vs in the food. Not cool. Menu also confusing between a platter and bowl. I was confused and literally a minute later another customer came in and asked the same question I did. What's the difference? Garlic sauce a little runny, but good. Liked their hot sauce. It's very vinegar-y and hot all at once. Pricing a bit on high side, but then again it's Vancouver.

The first time we went there, we weren't as familiar with Donair items, so we ordered the chicken shawarma platter. We were blown away by how generous their portions were, the worker kept pouring the meat onto the box along with everything else (we really thought the box wasn't able to close!). Then as we come back more often, we tried out their other items, their lamb is now our favorite. The seasonings they put into their lamb is different than ones like Donair Dude, it is much more unique. Their platter's sides are just unbeatable, garlic potatoes, hummus, salad, and pickled goods! Every time my girlfriend and I go there, we only order one platter to share, and we still can't finish it! Regardless which worker is serving you theyll all treat you generously, must try!

First off, the shop is super small but I was able to snag a table (there are 3 but it seems most popular for take out). The service was fast and really lovely. TOPPED WITH TAHINI SAUCE, TOMATOES, PICKLED TURNIP & PARSLEY) and a side of their hummus. The bread is baked freshly and the falafel packs a ton of flavour. The cold tomatoes, turnip, and parsley add a brightness without overpowering the main base. Their hummus was ultra smooth and was so nice to dip dip! This portion was huge and really made the perfect lunch! I dare to say this was one of the best falafels in the city!

A very tiny yet highly acclaimed restaurant in Vancouver near Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station…read more We stumbled upon this place while walking right at opening, so we got first pick at one of the 3 tables for dine-in. Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

Not only did they have enough for me to bring, but they had at least 6 types to choose from (which only made it harder given my time crunch) I only wish I took some photos if I had the time. I got the lamb tortilla wrap with pickles, tomatoes, onions, tabouli, hummus and feta. I'll keep this brief. I couldn't taste any of these ingredients....Why? Because there was literally less than 1/2 teaspoon of each portion in the wrap (see pic.) The lamb. Pains me to even say "lamb" as it's one of my favourite meats. All the health designations on their menu.....halal, AAA grade, no antib. etc. throw that out the window. The meat tasted like cardboard soaked in salt water. I stopped eating after a couple of bites cuz my mouth was starting to burn...that's how salty it was. Oh...and the stench of "rip-off" disappears my appetite. Every time. Now the yam fries. Have you ever felt sorry for a food you were about to eat? These fries looked so sad and pathetic that I felt guilty digging in. They were not crispy, the were not meaty and they were not fresh like any fry should be.
