This place rocks! We went here twice in 2 days on this trip visiting our Wildcat. Our first run was after a day of drinking and the double smashburger was perfect! We went the next day and everyone's burger was too salty. First negative thing here so we'll treat it as a one-off. Will definitely return here again next time in the area. Great location also with all the bars nearby. Rumor has it that Daddyburger will be opening another location soon close to UA campus. Awesome! So glad to hear this. Best smash burgers in Tucson!!!! Atmosphere is great, chill, plenty of seating, and accommodating to children. Lots of seating, TVs, outdoor games. They have a special sauce that isn't a 1000 island. It's like a mayo-ketchup mix with some spices. It's always made to order, served fresh and hot. They also serve gelato! I 100% recommend! Tried Daddyburger recently and the burger itself was really delicious--especially with the Daddy Sauce, arugula, and pickles. The flavors came together perfectly, and the sauce added a nice tangy kick that worked great with the fresh arugula and crunch from the pickles. One thing to watch out for though: the burger doesn't automatically come with the arugula or pickles, even though they're kind of signature toppings. You have to ask to have them added, and the cashier doesn't prompt you, so it's easy to miss unless you already know. Without those toppings, it's just meat, cheese, bun, and sauce--still good, but definitely not the full experience. The wait was a bit long, but in the end, it was worth it for a burger that's got some unique character and flavor. Located in the Boxyard in downtown Tucson Honestly has low expectations for this place but they were definitely exceeded. Great chat on the burgers and the sauce was everything you want in sauce that tastes like an updated fry sauce. The fries were crispy. We both added Bacon, and both left the onions off. I like pickles, she doesn't. They are so good. A Single is enough beef for us. $ 9.39 EACH. Fries WE SPLIT and there were plenty $4.29. Drinks are $ 3.89. We were with others that wanted Sonora Dogs from Los Perches. We were there at 11:30 am and sure it's hot outside. We took a Nice table near the TV's on covered patio, this was very nice and comfortable. The service was pick up via pager call. Fast. Pretty familiar with smashburgers growing up in SoCal; heavy handed, easy street, The Friendly. This place took 30 minutes to complete an order of two burgers, two drinks and one fry. New restaurant in Boxyard just dropped! These are smash burgers. Real thin, even crunchy on the edges of the patty, which always stick out past the bun a bit. Toppings are limited--everything comes with sauce, onions, and arugula. They can do bacon for a small upcharge. And pickles...if you must (bleh!) I think they're absolutely delicious. You're getting the crispy, salty fattiness on the edges. You're getting the sweetness from the sauce. The bun holds up, and it's not too messy. On my second visit, I tried the fries--totally scrumptious. I do think they can tone down the salt on everything a bit, but it still tastes fantastic. These are definitely not traditional burgers--you can forget about the lettuce, tomato, and ketchup--but I think that's what makes them better than the competition. It's not the only place you can get a burger on 4th ave, but I'll definitely say it's the best. read more

First time here bc my sister really loves their burgers. She ordered right before me and I got my burger 20 min after hers. It took them 45 min for two burgers and an order of fries. I've never had a burger this skinny. When you see the word "Daddy Burger", you think thick. This is thin and CRUNCHY. This is like a shmear of beef was put on the grill for way too long. It's crunchy and not a beefy burger. We do not recommend this at all. read more

A great smash burger for late after you've been to the bars or getting off work. The crispy edges are perfect! I would rather fresh onions instead of caramelized (maybe I'll ask next time) and a crispier bun but I'm not complaining. This is the best burger you can get late in Tucson. Grilled onions and sauce are the best part of the burgers. Patty is super thin and way over salted. You pretty much have to order the double to get a decent amount of meat.
