We had to wait a bit before being seated, but it was worth it. Very clean place with a really great staff. I almost never order pop because I shouldn't have it, but their Guava Soda sounded too enticing to pass up. It was like a better, cleaner tasting version of the guava jarritos and I couldn't stop drinking it! Super yummy! Foodwise, we got the following: - Mysore Masala Dosa - this was good, but it was really thin. The filling is tasty and it would've been nice if there was more of it so we could taste it more. The little bit of lentil soup that came with it was tasty too. - Garlic Naan - garlicy and seasoned nicely. It had a nice crisp to it as well. - Lamb Biryani - I love biryani and this was definitely the most colorful one I've ever had. It had a really nice amount of seasoning and flavor to every bite. The one downside is there really wasn't a lot of lamb pieces in the dish itself. My guy and I had to dig to find it, which is a shame because they were good quality pieces. Overall, super good and would come back. Was a bit disappointed by the lack of stuffing in the dosa and lack of lamb pieces in the biryani. Flavorwise, I can see why this is on the top 100 list.

We just had lunch at Daddy Ji and it was incredible! We walked in and were seated immediately in really comfy chairs. The friendly server came over right away with water and took our order. I had the coconut chicken curry lunch special and my husband had the chicken tikka masala special. My coconut chicken was sweet and a little creamy. I only had three pieces of chicken which I was a bit surprised by but it was delicious. My husband's tikka masala was spicy and earthy. He had quite a bit more chicken than I received. All the sides were flavorful and the naan was hot and tasty (although a bit thick). We will definitely go back to try out some more items on the menu. If you are in the area, stop by Daddy Ji's!

Good Indian eats at Claremont Village? I'm down! On a Sunday evening, Daddy Ji was busy but they were able to seat me, a single diner, within 10 minutes. Smallish, modern decor, every seat packed. My order was taken quickly and multiple servers checked in on me throughout the meal, excellent service. Chicken Tikka Masala - Served in a pot with tender chunks of white meat, the dish was fragrant and spicy, but not hot spicy. Spicy as in full of various spices. I ordered a 7 on their heat meter and felt zero hot spiciness. If you want to feel some burn, go for a 10. Even without the heat, I still enjoyed the dish. Their version leans a little more creamy over tomato flavor. Garlic Naan - A good sized serving, their bread is lightly toasty but pillowy, thicker than the average that I have had at various restaurants. It's buttery with with the right amount of chopped garlic mixed in. If you want some naan, get this. Basmati Rice - I ordered the large portion, which was $1 more than the small and comes on a metal plate. If you get the small order, it comes in a bowl. The large portion is almost double the amount of the small and is good for one very hungry person or two moderately hungry people. I had a little bit leftover at the end, but still felt that ordering the large was the right call for me. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. I think three or four different servers asked if I needed anything. My order was taken quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. Their dining floor seems ideal for parties of 1-8 people. If I'm back in the area I would definitely come back!

We were excited to finally try Daddy Ji Finest Indian Cuisine after seeing it featured on Yelp's Top 100 U.S. Restaurants for 2025 -- expectations were definitely high going in. The restaurant sits in a nice, clean part of Claremont with mostly street parking available, though there's also a parking garage just a few streets away if you don't mind a short walk. Inside, the space felt welcoming, tidy, and comfortable for a casual lunch or dinner. Our kind waitress helped guide our order and recommended the Tikka Masala and Coconut Curry, which we happily went with. Service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast -- always appreciated when dining with kids or on a tight schedule. Both dishes were flavorful and enjoyable. The sauces were rich and comforting, and portions were solid. That said, while everything was good, it didn't quite reach best-Indian-food-I've-ever-had status for me personally. Still, it's a reliable option in the area and an easy stop when we're nearby. Since it's conveniently close to my kids' pediatrician, I can definitely see myself coming back and exploring more of the menu on a future visit. Good food, friendly service, clean atmosphere -- and worth trying at least once, especially given the national recognition.

Nice place , great vibe and crowd. We came here for lunch, place was crowded but we got seated right away. All servers are very nice , their smile made my day! We ordered lunch special plates. I was happy to see that they had Palak paneer and daal makhani as side dishes ... yumm Butter chicken plate: This plate comes with chicken curry, 2 veg curries , daal, rice and choice of roti. Food was hot and fresh. Butter chicken has very nice Smokey flavour which we love. It was mild with sweet and tangy notes. Mutton curry plate: same as above. We ordered it spicy. The level was still medium for us. Chicken curry plate: chicken curry was tangy and had good presentation. I would have preferred more spice. Overall food is good and this place is very well maintained.

Chicken Tikka Naan Roll and Punjabi Thali
    WatchOut ..

First of all I've never had Indian food till today! I went with my wife she had the Punjabi Thali with coconut curry chicken and I had the Naan Roll with chicken tikka. Oh my gosh It was amazing! Our server Kash was super helpful in letting us know what everything was and even suggested we have the chefs special naan bread of the day with cheese and ground beef! If you have been thinking about giving this place a try, dont think about it just go and I promise you this place will not disappoint! Everyone here is very attentive and welcoming. This is a place I will frequent way more often then I want to admit. Thank you staff of Daddy Ji for the best meal I've had in a long time today!!

Tandoori chicken (forgive the missing piece; hubby couldn't wait)

This is our favorite Indian restaurant by a wide margin. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and fabulous. They serve one of the best mango lassis and gulab jamun we've ever tasted. My husband is obsessed with the tandoori chicken. Kash is wonderful-- knowledgeable and helpful, always happy to help narrow down choices or help with dietary restrictions. The ambience is casual, friendly, and comfortable. Can't recommend enough!

This really is the finest Indian cuisine and I am so happy they are here! Every thing we had was never had before and it was superb! I now know why there's always a line and best to make reservations. I appreciated the tanginess in the dosa, the complexity of the chaat, the wholesomeness of the paneer curry dish which I can't remember the name, the tenderness of the lamb shank and the uniqueness of the naan. I was hoping the lamb would be a bit more explosive in flavor like the other dishes but it was still fantastic. Overall, I absolutely loved my dining experience here, it was so much food that I am ready to eat my leftovers. The wait staff was even nice enough to let us know that it was a lot of food for two. Definitely a highlight of my birthday meals.

Dear Daddyji Team, and Kash I am writing to share what a wonderful experience my husband and I had at your restaurant today. We have been trying to visit for some time, but our work schedules often made it difficult. Since we were off early today, we finally had the opportunity to stop by for lunch, and it was the best choice we could have made. Daddyji is truly one of the finest Indian dining experiences we have ever had. Every dish we tried was superb, and both the flavors and the boba iced chai were delicious. Additionally, the service was fantastic; the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and we appreciated the prompt service. Last but not least it was a very comfortable ambiance. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a fantastic meal! Best regards, Mrs. Diaz

My FAVORITE Indian restaurant! My husband and I often come for the Vindaloo Chicken (Spice level 6), Lamb Shank Curry, and Garlic Naan. The tandoori chicken, Karak Chai, and Mango Lassi are also some of our favorites. We've only experienced excellent service from their warm and welcoming waiters. Lastly, music is also always on point!

Finally made it in to Daddyji and it was absolutely worth it! We were seated super quick and our waiter, Jonathan was awesome! He was attentive and an absolute delight! The food was AMAZING! We started with the samosas and our main dish was the Achari chicken tikka and coconut curry and my partner and I both agreed we'll be craving the food for a while! Jonathan ended our visit with little dessert that was chefs kiss! Thank you so much for making our first visit memorable and can't wait to come back! 10/10!

Biryani, naan, Garlic Curry, Malai Kofta / Kofta Curry, Dal Makhani
    Krupa P.

Daddy Ji is one of the few Indian restaurants in Claremont and we had high expectations given the long lines and raving reviews. The food overall was good but nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary. The garlic curry was good but a bit too salty. The naan felt a bit too doughy. The reason I dropped a star was the service. We were given used water cups with stains on them, and had to ask for missing plates. In addition my brother ordered tea and it did not come until we got our check... despite asking for it multiple times. All in all it's not a bad spot and the food is worth checking out but I wouldn't wait in a long line for this spot. In addition I would suggest making a reservation as we were seated immediately.

This is the best Indian meal I've had in the U.S. We came in for a Sunday lunch. Our server Kash was very helpful about the menu and made sure knew what we were ordering in terms of ingredients and possible allergens. But the star was food. Ghee roast with chicken will haunt me. Also, it's not expensive for what you get.

The curry is also well-spiced and flavorful. (IMPORTANT INFO: Bring cash. There's an additional 4% fee for card payments. Also, this location accepts EBT.) I arrived at Curry Time (Pomona) on Monday (around 4:25PM). Parking is easy. The lot is fairly empty. Staff is very friendly, curious, and welcoming. Staff repeatedly attempted conversation. Staff even appeared surprised that I'd chosen to dine-in. The food arrived very quickly since the curry sat on hot trays. As mentioned, I ordered the "2 Item Combo" ($15.99) and "Garlic Naan upgrade" (additional $1). The naan tasted buttery and hot; the garlic flavor was fairly muted, so I don't think the upgrade was worth it. Thankfully, the rice tasted very fresh and clean. For the "2 Item Combo," I chose Butter Chicken Curry and Goat Curry (additional $1.50 charge). The Butter Chicken is DELICIOUS!! Its chicken is tender & juicy, and its curry is thick, creamy, and well-seasoned. I happily embraced its light spicy kick. Concerning the Goat Curry, the sauce is heavier and savory. Unfortunately, the Goat Curry's protein tasted bitter, chewy, and almost rubbery; there's also many bones. Still, both curries felt well-intentioned and thoughtful. I left full and happy, Regarding ambiance, Curry Time (Pomona) felt a little run down and dingy. The corners didn't look well swept. Thankfully, the tables are smooth and clean. This location does not have a restroom, but there's a small hand sanitizer bottle for customers. Also, the location plays no music, but the flat screen TV plays youtube videos. Unfortunately, the main sound is an intrusive humming coming from the machine sitting by the entrance. The location is fairly cramped with its five tables. However, this place feels more like an order-and-leave spot. Overall, I created good memories at Curry Time (Pomona). The food is tasty and affordable! I also genuinely enjoyed the Butter Chicken. If searching for delicious Indian food, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5

I honestly don't think it's worth coming here even if the food is not bad because their service is that atrocious. Some food is fantastic...others I'm rather meh about. Pani puri 4/5. Herbed potatoes and the sweet tamarind sauce are fantastic. The tangy water...it's not heavy enough in seasoning for my liking. When you bite into it it's like a fluffy crispy airy dough shell with the texture of boiled eggs but the flavor reminds me of samosas... Also the fried dough thing on top to add the extra crunch is nice Bombay vada pav - 5/5 soft pillowy potato bread with spiced potato fritter.. just yes. They give you additional chilli peppers which honestly are a little too spicy for me.... And the mint chutney is really spicy too.... But the tamarind sauce is tangy and more tart/ and different from the tamarind sauce w/ Pani puri. I absolutely loved this and this was the best thing on the menu. Stuffed mushrooms with cheese - 3.5/5 the cheese does cut into spice from other foods but it's not a dish i think is worth ordering. The tomato flavor is strong and I barely taste coriander or other spices because the tomato overpowered everything else. I don't know what biryani I had because it's not on the menu anymore as I'm writing the review as of 3.28.26 but that was a 2/5. That was terrible. Portion size fantastic but God .... Frozen peas carrots green bean mixture killed this. There was barely any spice or flavor. I genuinely was disappointed. Cocktail.. 0.5/5 It took them 1 hour and 30 minutes before I got my cocktail. Wtf why is it only one person knows how to make cocktails and why is that the person greeting people. Please get more and better staff so that they can actually be doing one job only. For reference I ordered the cocktail "vessel of shakti" and honestly... It gave me artificial candy strawberry daiquiri mix. The coconut water is lost in flavors. I did not taste like. Skip this. Just don't order cocktails because only 1 person knows how to make them. .5 only because the person making the drink was genuinely apologetic and busy. The service here is absolute shit. You can't flag people down, they'll ignore you if you're not Indian so rubbish service. But also the waiters seem really pissed off and don't want to be here. This experience was so bad I wouldn't even consider coming here even if the food was good. This restaurant is super over hyped for the experience and price.

They immediately brought me menus. I ordered the Maderas Margarita and Tikka Shrimp Salad with an upgrade for the garlic naan off of their lunch special menu. They had really fun names for their cocktails. The Maderas Margarita was interesting. The taste of the jalapeno was bold, the way it should be for a spicy margarita. There was mashed mint and cilantro in it. The drink tasted more like a mojito than a margarita. Nonetheless, it was well presented with a jalapeno on the rim of the glass for decoration and the drink was very much enjoyable. The Tikka Shrimp Lunch Salad was full of flavor. The house dressing seem to be done your of Indian spices vinaigrette which was very interesting. I would say that the spice level on this was mild to medium. I enjoyed this dish. The garlic naan bread was served fresh. It was the perfect thickness where you can experience both the crispiness and the soft bread at the same time. The garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. It was nicely done. I would definitely return to try other items and perhaps their happy hour menu.
