Spread w garlic naan
Jane K.

Really great Indian food, I think when you dine in the portions are bigger I ordered a ghee roast spice level 8 and added shrimp... honestly the spice is good but maybe too spicy for me I love tasting all the intricate flavors I got the Somosa dan but I wish it came w a sauce or curry you could dip it in... thought it was a little dry. I would use my curry on top of it but it was alright - not the perfect pairing I also didn't know the curry does not come w rice... so I ordered garlic naan w it but once again it was tooo much breading Wish the server guided me a little more bc I did mention I was new and first time and wanted to order a popular appetizer and curry... they just said what I picked was good and that was it Anyways I had a decent time here I would def come back to try more options! The rice biryani dish is def their most popular... I'll come back for that

Food: chilli cheese dosa, fish tandoori, shrimp coconut fry, chicken vindaloo, samosas - it was all really yummy. Shrimp dish was the favorite. Rabri and coconut gulab jamun was very tasty. Service: get on the yelp waitlist before going because it can get long. Good overall, a few times needed to ask for napkins & utensils. Ambience: nice casual dining

Mango Lassi / pineapple lemonade

Where do I even start chileeeee because this was the BEST experience ever! We did make a reservation on Yelp, and I will say the wait was maybe 10-15 minutes after we checked in. It might've just been today since it was a Saturday, but they definitely had a rush around 2-3 PM. After 3, it seemed to slow down a lot. Once we were seated, we were given water. I did ask to be moved once the rush slowed down, and they accommodated us with no problem, which honestly made me really happy. We ordered a bunch of food because we wanted to try everything. We started with the tikka wings, and I got the saucy ones. They also have a smoky option. When I say the FLAVOR was there LORDDDDD! The wings were AMAZING and the sauce was exactly what I wanted. The samosas were honestly the BEST I've ever had, and I've had a host of them. The filling was perfect, they were crispy, and both sauces were amazing. I honestly can't even pick a favorite. Next was the goat biryani. OMG! The goat was tender as ever, the rice had so much flavor, and the portions were HUGE. The butter chicken was definitely different from what I'm used to, but it paired really well with the garlic naan and cheese naan. The drinks were also rich in flavor. The pineapple lemonade tasted so fresh, almost like it was cold-pressed, and the mango lassi was really good and full of flavor. We will MOST definitely be back. Between the service, food, portions, and overall experience, I truly enjoyed my time here.

可以,Yelp 上我会把"I took my two sons here for Indian food the day before my younger son's birthday. We decided to come because my older son had brought home some takeout from this restaurant one day, and we all really enjoyed the Indian curry. The service was also very good. The only thing I think could be improved is how the food was handled. When the waitress brought out the curry, her finger was inside the bowl. I'm sure her hands were clean, but it would probably be more sanitary and comfortable for customers if she used a glove or held the bowl in a way that kept her fingers out of the food. Other than that, we were very happy with everything. All the dishes we ordered were delicious! We've already come back for takeout since then, and we'll definitely be regular customers.

This is the best Indian food and there's always a wait. I've been at lunch and dinner time on both weekday and weekend, and I've had to wait at least 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant isn't that big with a bunch of small and a few big tables. There's either street parking or a free parking garage near by. I've tried various items from their menu and when you add spice to the food, it can get pretty spicy compared to other places. I love their palek panner, lamb curry, and garlic naan. The service is good, but I will say the food comes out slow, so be prepared to be in there for awhile. Highly recommend this place.

Right off the bat received amazing service right away which really made a huge difference and set this place apart from others. I came in for the lunch special which is 14 dollars a plate and it really is a lot of food. At first I thought I would finish it all but I never did. I also ordered the mango lassi since I know it's popular and it is very yummy just wish it was colder but maybe it's not meant to be that cold? One thing to note is to bring a light sweater for warmth because there is fans all throughout the place which kept it nice and cool inside which is amazing but I was getting very cold. I will come back here whenever I get the craving for some tikka masala. All of the sides on my plate were very new to me but they were all very good. There was nothing that I didn't like.

Chicken tikka masala , Palak Paneer , Tomato basil naan , Biryani (vegetable)

Tasty dishes & the staff are so friendly! This was my first time coming here and I ordered food to-go and they made an exception and took my order even though it was about 30 minutes to closing time. (That's my bad, I know). They totally didn't have to take my order, I even asked the owner multiple times if it was okay and I even said it's no worries and that I'll come back another time if it's too late to place an order. They very graciously took my order anyways, even helped me make some food decisions, and I was very grateful because I was so hungry and didn't want to get fast food. Since it was my first time I ordered my Indian cuisine staples. I ordered their Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spicy) which turned out to be the perfect spice level. I ordered Palak Paneer (non-spicy), Vegetable Biriyani (also non-spicy) because I want the chicken tikka to be my main spicy dish. I was surprised to see so many naan choices! They suggested I order their tomato basil naan (that's a new option, haven't seen that before at an Indian restaurant). I also ordered garlic naan. So glad I ordered both, because 3 main entrees need at least 2 orders of naan. The owner is so nice! We talked about Indian food and she answered my questions and got to know her a little. You can tell she cares so much about her customers and staff. I ate my food at home and was really impressed by the flavors and that they actually did give me medium spicy level on the chicken tikka (some places just give you the basic mild). I liked that the vegetable biryani had carrot, broccoli, and chopped green beans in it. I'd love to come back and enjoy a meal at their restaurant. It's more modern chic interior and I was told that there is a lunch buffet option. Maybe I'll be back for lunch! Their menu had a lot of Indian dishes that I've never tried, so I definitely want to come back for those!

Samosa Dosa
Jada E.

Was craving tikka masala and daddy ji's DID NOT disappoint! Very delicious and fresh!! Tikka masala was delicious (and toddler approved) we tried the samosa dosa, however I think next time we will just try the regular veggie samosa. Samosa dosa was good, but wasn't our favorite. The tandoori wings were delicious and piping hot, didn't catch what kind of dipping sauce they served with it but it was very good. The garlic naan -- soooo fresh, hot and tasty. Have to mention the guava soda, which was perfectly sweet. Service was great, food came out fast and the restaurant has nice decor/wall art. It's a smaller place with maybe 12(give or take) tables. We came on a Wednesday around 7 and didn't have to wait, however there was a constant flow of people wanting to dine in and tables were filling easily. Can't wait to come back.

Explored the modern Indian cuisine in Claremont. Service staff is very friendly and kind, elaborating on different items on the menu with us. Food tastes GREAT but the wait was terribly long. We ordered the lamb shank and it was recommended to go with white rice. Naan was done with precision and profession! Ambiance quite cozy, European, and exotic. I saw many tables of friends and family gathering. Good for a hang out with groups and share all delicious Indian foods. Oh and I forgot to mention, the price is economic for good quality food. +1

Lunch Menu (Monday-Friday)

Delicious food, friendly staff, comfy seating, and beautiful interior. What more can a gal on a lunch break ask for? My coworkers introduced me to Daddy Ji's and I believe this will be a regular lunch spot. We all ordered their Lunch Special, which is from Monday to Fridays 11 to 3 pm. The Lunch Special Punjabi Thali (Plate) comes with 1 dal, 2 veggie sides, rice, and naan or roti. You can choose from garlic, plain naan, or roti, then you choose the type of plate you like. I got their Butten Chicken Plate and golly, it was delicious! The Lunch Special is served in a beautiful gold plate with multiple small bowls to hold the dishes. My butter chicken was velvety rich in tomato flavor and the chicken was tender and beautifully married wth the buttery gravy. I'd come back just to have another bite of their Butter Chicken! I also wanted to try one of their drinks, so I ordered a Iced Saffron Chai with Boba (No Milk). I've never had this drink before, and I am so glad I did because it is absolutely delicious. It's refreshing, bright, and has an almost delicate and sweet-spicy aroma to it. While eating our lunch specials, we sat in their comfy blue velvet seats and enjoyed the ambiance. The staff members came to check on us multiple times, and were very quick to refill our waters, and are very friendly and sweet people. We all left with happy smiles and full bellies. I can't wait to come back with more friends!

The food was AMAZING. I highly recommend this place!! The servers were so nice and welcoming and the plates came out fairly quick. It is a small location, but I think it's perfect. It gives it a homey feeling. It is definitely a hidden gem in Claremont. I would highly recommend putting your name through Yelp or do a reservation as there's always a wait for this place (even on weekdays). Also, try family style as there is a huge variety!! I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did.

Palak Paneer, Garlic Cheese Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala Plate, Kadai, Biryani

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about this place! I've easily been here over 10 times this year alone, and there's a reason I keep coming back! First and foremost, the hospitality is unmatched. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They don't just treat you like another customer; they genuinely make you feel like family. It's the kind of place where you feel appreciated every single time you walk through the door. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish is bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and, most importantly, consistently amazing. I tend to order my favorites over and over again, and somehow they never get old! The food always comes out in a reasonable amount of time, fresh and full of flavor. What makes this place even more special is how thoughtful the staff is. They actually remember what you enjoy and take the time to recommend new dishes and flavors based on your preferences. It's those little personal touches that really set a restaurant apart. You can find good Indian food in plenty of places, but finding incredible food paired with genuine hospitality and consistency is something special. This restaurant has all three! It's easily become one of my favorite places to eat, and I always look forward to coming back. If you're looking for delicious, authentic-tasting Indian cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere where you're treated like family, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Lamb Biryani
Katherine K.

We had to wait a bit before being seated, but it was worth it. Very clean place with a really great staff. I almost never order pop because I shouldn't have it, but their Guava Soda sounded too enticing to pass up. It was like a better, cleaner tasting version of the guava jarritos and I couldn't stop drinking it! Super yummy! Foodwise, we got the following: - Mysore Masala Dosa - this was good, but it was really thin. The filling is tasty and it would've been nice if there was more of it so we could taste it more. The little bit of lentil soup that came with it was tasty too. - Garlic Naan - garlicy and seasoned nicely. It had a nice crisp to it as well. - Lamb Biryani - I love biryani and this was definitely the most colorful one I've ever had. It had a really nice amount of seasoning and flavor to every bite. The one downside is there really wasn't a lot of lamb pieces in the dish itself. My guy and I had to dig to find it, which is a shame because they were good quality pieces. Overall, super good and would come back. Was a bit disappointed by the lack of stuffing in the dosa and lack of lamb pieces in the biryani. Flavorwise, I can see why this is on the top 100 list.

Great alternative for a non animal protein meal... service was excellent and the mushrooms had an…read moreamazing zing to them...

Kailash Parbat was recommended to us by family, and we recently dined here with my in-laws. We…read morereally enjoyed some of the dishes we ordered, while a few others were just okay or a bit lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji (we ordered the Classic), Chole Bhatura, and the Jaamun Shot. The Papdi Chaat was exactly what we expected and was decent. The Bhel Puri and Pani Puri were probably our least favorite dishes. For the pani puri, the pani was bland and lacking flavor and the puri barely had any filling. The Bhel Puri was more tart than I expected and could have used a bit more green chutney and sweet chutney. I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars, though I'd probably place it somewhere between 3.5 and 4. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items if I was in the area.
