I visited Bill's at Westfield London before getting a train home. I was able to get a table easily,…read morewhich I was grateful for, as many restaurants inside the mall either had no availability for a large queue, and I was short on time, as I planned to get a train home to Manchester shortly after my visit here. It is located in the outdoor part of the mall, on the corner, the vibes inside the restaurant are pretty cool, especially for a mall location. My table looked a little beaten and worse for wear, though it looked like it had been banged and potentially damaged by a candle. I was disappointed with the service here, as I encountered issues with multiple staff members. After being seated, my waitress seemed distracted and wasn't listening. She initially tried to take me to a larger party's table, and I had to explain that I had booked a table for one. Another staff member overheard our conversation and brought me the gluten-free menu as she didn't. I then had an issue with a different female staff member who ignored me completely while setting cutlery on another table, leaving mine without any. I had to take cutlery from another table, and she again seemed frustrated when she had to set this table again after noticing what I had done. Finally, when I asked a male staff member to remove the service charge, he initially claimed he couldn't do it. He made out that it would be such a rigmarole to remove it as he'd have to do it manually and couldn't remove it when using the payment app- he made it unnecessarily awkward and then began questioning why I'd remove it in the first place. I ordered the fish pie, which was made gluten-free, the cheese and chive mash on top was fantastic; it was really tasty, and I also liked the sauce of the pie however, the fish, especially the salmon and the cod, wasn't pleasant, it was chewy. If you're ordering a fish pie, the key part of the meal is the fish - and if they can't get that right, that's a big issue. My side of rosemary salted fries was fine, but they were average fries. They didn't taste fresh, and the difference between the rosemary salted fries here and at Honest Burger, where they are far superior, is night and day. They offered me a voucher for a future visit to Bill's, which I plan to use soon. I intend to update my rating after my next visit, hoping this was just a one-off incident or an off day rather than a recurring issue. 2*

Things were looking promising when I saw a vegetarian breakfast offered in lieu of the traditional English breakfast. I was drawn to the dish because it offered spinach and hash browns in lieu of all the meat in its partner dish. My friend ordered the regular Full English and her dish came out well before mine. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes longer for something that would appear to take less cook time. The plate came out and I noticed there was no spinach. I was not offered a choice as a substitute nor made aware of the situation. Long story short I ended up ordering the Full English and they forgot my black pudding. Waited additional time for that as well. Then they forgot I asked for the bill. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially if you're on a time schedule and multiple mishaps occurred. No cash accepted and 12.5% service charge automatically added to the final bill with the usual VAT.

Patchy service can't dampen my enthusiasm for this top place…read more The manageress is a surly, miserable git who barks orders at her rushed but sweet staff and can't be bothered to raise a smile herself. She either had a raging hangover or she just hates her job. We went for brunch on fathers' day and I ordered a full English. It was delicious but after I quaffed the lot I spied someone else's full english with a big fat juicy sausage on it. I had been deprived. Miss Surly took £2 off the bill but promptly added five more on the machine. Luckily we checked the tab. Surly Bollocks mumbled some sort of excuse and corrected it. An apology would have been a sign of weakness or defeat. What else? Butter for my toast came only after I asked three times. And my second pot of tea came without a lid. They simply didn't have any more! Frankly I can live with all that for an excellent full English . Even without the sausage I enjoyed it immensely - good black pudding is always a sign of real quality. And the milkshakes are A1. Served in dinky little milk bottles and tasting delicious and malty. All served in a place that doesn't seem to be trying to be cool at all, and is therefore achingly thus. The back room opens out nicely. It's relaxed and charmingly kitted out with sweet arty bits denoting the local area and its the venue's music hall history. Ask for a booth, they are comfy and spacious. Just don't ask the grumpy one. She'll hurrump and react like you asked for your shake to be served in the Holy Grail.

Oh My Days! i love this place the burgers are HUGE! move over Big Mac…read more The restaurant itself is very well kept and looks good. The service was really good, with polite staff. For starters i decided to order Cajun Chicken pieces that comes with sweet chilli sour cream dip. Oh my days! seriously this is one to try, it was divine in texture and taste! I then went for the Kiwi burger which was well presented and like i said before HUGE! it had 100% Angus beef with egg, beetroot, pinapple, cheese, salad and mayo. I mean WOW it was juicy and delicious, my mouth's watering as i write. You need to cut the the buger in half to eat it unless you have a bigger mouth then the average human being. I manage to make my way to the chips although i didn't finish, (the burger added with the starter was filling) The chips were not saying much personally, but the rest brilliant. I couldnt even eat breakfast the next morning i was that full. For you veggies they have a vegterain selection. Their is a selction for kids. And you can create your own buger if you dont fancy any of the burgers on the menu (i doubt it). The burgers are priced from 6 to 8 pounds but well worth it. Because its in Westfields, their so much to do, shop for starters! or afters, whatever you fancy. Their are great transport links, also their is the high street where their are pubs, other food outlets, cinema and shepard bush empire.

Wowwy wow! Talk about good burgers!…read more First off, come hungry or ready to share. Even the smalls here are larger than most burgers, and the larges are good to feed a small nation. (Related, one of the reasons they're at 4 instead of 5 stars is because they were out of large buns, so I had to settle for a large burger on a small bun. Apparently this is common.) Also, a single serving of chips is enough to share...this place doesn't skimp on quantity! I ordered the Jamaican burger and absolutely recommend it. The menu says it comes with a "mango and ginger sauce," but didn't warn me that it'd give me inappropriate thoughts. Yeah, it's that good. I didn't add any custom extras because I wanted an official sanctioned burger, but were I to go back (and I will!) I'd request onions on the burger. Though the burger is already so tasty it might not be worth the £1. The crew here was very helpful. We had never been and our server politely explained the ordering process. The wait was a bit long when trying to order, but they were crowded so can't really complain. As mentioned before, they were out of large buns, so when our food came out we mentioned we were supposed to have larges. The server promptly took our order back and was prepared to have it remade, before the unfortunate news came down. I was pleased with the service here. As a few other people have mentioned, this place is a bit pricy. You're looking at at least £8 for a burger. Add on chips and a drink and you're up to £10-12. Want a shake? Be prepared to fork over £3.50! If you want a great burger and have a some cash to spend, definitely head here!

We were looking to get some pre-dinner drinks at the Westfield and luckily found two spots at the small bar here, as the entirety of the restaurant was filled to the brim with diners. After warming up with a Hibiscus Spritz (hibiscus flower in an ice cube!) and Long Island Iced Tea, the bartenders recommended the Singapore Sling, so we got a pair of those, and Ciroc shots to close. If it were any other time, we might have tried the food, but the efficiency and friendliness of all the bartenders were enough of a good experience to keep Ping Pong in mind for a future visit.

We walked in around 11:30 AM on a Thursday and it was pretty empty (as expected). We were seated and given menus almost immediately. They have a variety of options as well as set menus so it took a bit of time for me to figure out what I wanted. My husband got the spicy vegetable dumplings, Sichuan chili oil vegetable dumping, tofu and miso soup as well as the spicy seitan and vegetable dumpling. I had the spicy seitan and vegetable dumpling, prawn and chives dumpling, orange and chicken dumpling and the potato and edamame pancakes. All the dumpling orders came in 3 dumplings. So 1 order is perfect for a person especially if you want to try a few dumplings. I LOVED the potato and edamame pancake. It was crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and the ginger sauce that came with it was the perfect compliment. The prawn dumpling was excellent but I didn't really care for the chicken and orange dumpling. It was a very strange taste that was not really orange but not sure what it was. The seitan was good but not as chewy as seitan usually is. Because if that, it was very mushy. My husband enjoyed his dumplings a lot but for both of us, they were a little too soft which ended up a bit mushy. Overall, recommend the place and will be back next time in our trip!

My husband said his sandwich reminded him of one his mom used to make at home growing up, which is a lovely sign. Mine was a slightly above an average burger with a touch of dijonnaise and pickles. We also had a side of the truffle hash browns and they were great! Just a classic, crispy hash brown with a hint of truffle flavor. I hope to try another sandwich before my trip ends.
