Cheese or cheese burger. Beef patty on brioche bun with American cheese
    Anna S.

Unfortunately i have to agree with previous reviews. There is nothing in particular that is bad with Eds Diner but everything could just be a little bit better. The my cheeseburger is good, but not amazing. It had a single (1) onion ring in it. Not a fried one, just a regular single onion ring. Usually you get at least 2 or 3. The brioche bread was nice though and the burger had a large beef patty. All in all its a three because it is not bad just not great either.

Great menu for me and my friend. Gluten free veggie burger for me and burger for friend. Small, but nice, portion of chips. Burger and side £7.99 but waitress wasn't sure if that also applied to gluten free option. Finally agreed it was on cajun veggie option which was quite sloppy and poured out when you bit into it. Great milkshakes, very large drink, best to share. Waitress very helpful and knew the menu well.

this is actually a review for Ed's diner located in the westfield shopping center (was not able to find it online) great place, friendly staff and very clean and fast when it comes to food :) we ordered a 'route 66' burger, chessy fries and pancakes. the burger was not the best on the menu but a good one. the bread could have been grilled for a sec or two and the cheese was missing for the real american burger feeling, but the cheesy fries made up for it! pancakes were very simple but exactly what you would expect in an american diner. you can choose between syrup or chocolate sauce. refills for the fizzy drinks are a good deal! Ed's always serves pretty decent american fast food. go for the bonus program, we saved a lot of money so far! after a few visits you should have heard all of the 30 rock oldies they play in a loop, nice flair though.

They have recently changed the menu to Mexican food which is bad news for me because I LOVE their burger. But the new menu is pretty we priced so I'm not too mad about it.

Things were looking promising when I saw a vegetarian breakfast offered in lieu of the traditional English breakfast. I was drawn to the dish because it offered spinach and hash browns in lieu of all the meat in its partner dish. My friend ordered the regular Full English and her dish came out well before mine. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes longer for something that would appear to take less cook time. The plate came out and I noticed there was no spinach. I was not offered a choice as a substitute nor made aware of the situation. Long story short I ended up ordering the Full English and they forgot my black pudding. Waited additional time for that as well. Then they forgot I asked for the bill. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially if you're on a time schedule and multiple mishaps occurred. No cash accepted and 12.5% service charge automatically added to the final bill with the usual VAT.

I wanted something with at least one good veggie option, they wanted something with meat, and it had to be somewhere in-between Camden and Canary Wharf, not too pricey, and ideally close to the city because otherwise our Italian friend probably wouldn't make it. And lo and behold.... THE FAT BEAR!!! It was all we wanted and more! This place is sort of tucked away and up some stairs above a pub. It's really just a room and a half, which makes it super cozy and they have a pretty awesome looking bar. It's got warm lighting which makes the atmosphere really nice. Their cocktails were delightful and the service was excellent. I will make a very strange observation that someone working there had a very drunk friend who just sort of made herself at home. Then more joined and it turned into me watching this table of really really drunk people trying to order food. Two of them ended up just falling asleep. It was super strange. Anyway, me being distracted aside, I really loved the cocktail I ordered- Sloe Boat To China, and everyone else seemed happy with theirs. I was dying to try the pimiento cheese starter and the fried pickles. The cheese was particularly sharp and delicious. The pickles were good, but quite skinny (I mean come on, you're in an American restaurant I was expecting some serious pickles). The vegan gumbo was super spicy and delicious. I was impressed and enjoyed it. My husband dropped the ball and ordered the regular jambalaya (with sausage) rather than the seafood one which broke my heart a little bit, because I really wanted to try it. You know, I guess that means we'll just have to come back. Oh also another bonus, this place has brisket which is really hard to find. I can't say how it tastes but my friend said he defo approves (am I becoming more British with these words, or just more annoying?) Anyway, to finish it off I had the oreo cheesecake which the bomb. I love oreos. And it tasted like oreo. So all was right with the world. A wonderful place to come if you have people who want to try American food, or if you have out of town Americans who are too scared to try other food, or if you have hungry friends that want to try cajun food, or if you just want to try some really yummy food.
