Oh Byron, that squishy bun advertising campaign got me, I'm not gonna lie. After seeing the post for so long, I decided to check out the Byron in Kensington and see if the buns really are so squishy! I can vouch for this - they are! Food wise, I got a vegetarian burger, as the lure of goats cheese and portobello mushroom proved too much!! Well, what can I say.. Simply divine! I had devoured it in less than 5 minutes! Too damn good! Spying they had added sweet potato fries to the menu, I couldn't resist ordering them and of course I wasn't disappointed! Crispy, seasoned to perfection, they were deliciously addictive and despite my best efforts, I finished the entire portion! Nom nom! I ordered some prosecco for the table as we were heading to a party afterwards and it tasted really good! Certainly, not badly priced at £24. Byron, I salute you! Your burgers are squishy, the fries rock and you served a hella of a vodka shot!

Classic Chicken burger, with pickle on the side...

Have been meaning to get to Byron for a few months now. Almost went the other week but saw Planet Hollywood and went there instead. Which was disappointing. Now, after finally managing to eat here, in hindsight I wish we had gone to Byron. If you've never been to Byron before, you may want to be aware that side orders are not included within the ordered main meal. So no fries, no salad, no onion rings....Instead you need to order whatever you having with your order and there's a lot to choose from. From start to finish they were professional and attentive. We were offered a couple of places to sit, and opted for a table for two by the window looking onto the park next door. So had a pleasant view of park goers visiting to jog, take the dog for a walk or whatever. Looking over their menu, I was going to order the byronanldo but instead went for the classic chicken burger. We waited about 15 minutes for our food. My classic chicken consisted of a large piece of seared chicken breast, perfectly cooked, with red onions, tomato, lettuce and Byron sauce with a brioche bun. Now, usually I'm NOT a fan of brioche buns with burgers, but this was pretty damn good and all ingredients complemented each other perfectly. I got Skin on chips to go with mine, which were very good. Elle went for a cheese burger medium well done, without the bun. Yes, you heard me! With a side of sweet potato fries. She was also impressed, it came with salad and monteray jack cheese on top. We were both extremely impressed with the service and the food. Too bad we didn't have time for desert, although we had already been to the hummingbird cup cake shop and purchased our cupcakes, so we were good to go! If you want an awesome burger and don't mind paying a little more for good food and good service then Byron's for you!!

During my summer stay in London, Byrons was my go to place for food. This place was so amazing for a chain restaurant. I'm having withdrawals since being back in the US. The service was fast, the waiters were attentive, the outdoor seating was lovely, and of course the food is spectacular. My favorite burger was the clucky!

Ceaser salad. French fries. Fresh lemonade.

I ordered the basic cheeseburger and I don't think the meat was of particularly high-quality. Also, it was cold. I also ordered their limited time only roasty tater tots. When I went to pick them up, however, they had run out of tots, and so they gave me a pile of french fries that I could dip in the gravy. Not exactly the same thing, but I thought I'd give it a shot. The fries were cold, so it didn't really much matter. The gravy was also cold. The gravy would probably be good if it were served at room temperature let alone hot. Food temperature and quality aside, the right thing to do would have been to refund the cost of the tots, not try to substitute fries without my agreement. If I had the chance to do it over, I'd skip this place.

Located right across the street from the Gloucester Road station it's really easy to find. And around 12:30 on a Sunday there were plenty of seats. Byron's is modern, yet comfortable. Staff is friendly and they make up a mean burger. Both the Hubs and I ordered the BYRON Burger - with bacon, cheddar, shredded iceberg, tomato, red onion and Byron sauce. At £9.25 the dish doesn't come with fries which is a bit of a bummer, and in turn a bit expensive. But we made sure to add a couple sides to try. The fries (£2.95) were mighty tasty. The order come in a nice size bowl that's easy to share. We also ordered up the courgette fries (fried zucchini sticks) (£3.25). I didn't love these...I guess I'd rather just stick to fresh/crisp zucchini instead of fried. Hubs liked them though. We ended with milkshakes to go. Yum. We spent about £32 ($55) on two burgers, two sides and two shakes. Which, generally, is a bit expensive for us but overall - Byron's a really good meal. Burger was seasoned nicely and cooked as asked. Soft bun. And I'm usually not fan of "secret sauces" but this one is really tasty, don't go without it.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a great burger meal…read more Recently, I was craving just such a meal. In London, there are many choices available for burgers. There are burgers which are honest, dirty and gourmet. There are also burgers that are fast and cheap - but not great. There are others that are great - but not even close to possible if on a budget. But yesterday, I found a place that was worth the search - and the long walk that I took get back to where I found it. Because what I found was a great burger meal, at a great price! I found Joe & Co. I was spending the day on North End Road in South West London in search of a few things that I knew I could find in the neighbourhood. Early on during my shopping I spotted what I thought looked like a great "burger joint". And much later when hunger pains were slowing me down I decided to retrace my steps back to where I thought I had spotted it. The walk back turned out to be longer than I expected, but I soon realised it had been worth the walk and the effort, as what I had spotted proved to be exactly what I was looking for. As what I found was Joe & Co., where I enjoyed what is probably the best burger meal I've had in London for ages! The greeting when I walked in was friendly and enthusiastic. I was invited to, and did, spend some time looking over the selection of burgers, chicken and hotdogs on offer, before settling on what I hoped would be a great cheeseburger and fries meal. I was offered the chance to "have it my way" with a choice of lettuce, onion, pickle and tomato toppings and I said yes to everything. I sat down at the clean and appealing diner retro table and didn't have to wait to long for my choice to be brought to the table. It looked amazing and tasted even better. In addition to the toppings the burger came with, there is a generous choice of additional sauces available at the table - and not in those nasty little packages that I usually struggle to open and usually end up spraying as much on myself as on the burger. The burger was perfect and the fries were some of the best I have ever had. It was, as hoped, a great burger meal. And at a very reasonable price. As I was finishing up, I was asked by, (as it turned out) the owner of Joe & Co, who is actually and reassuringly called Joe, how my meal had been and I offered my compliments and congratulations for a great meal. He was obviously genuinely pleased and interested in my comments, telling me that they had been open only a short time and the efforts being made to provide the best meal with the best ingredients. I told him that he was succeeding entirely! I hope Joe & Co does well, as it deserves to. It's a bit further down North End Road from some of the trendier and more glam spots that are found in the area, but just as it was worth a bit of a walk for me to go back and enjoy the treat that I hoped to find, I can assure anyone else that they won't regret taking a few more steps and building up even more of a hunger for what Joe & Co has to offer. I'll be back again soon for another chance to enjoy the best burger on offer in London.

We went on a Wednesday night, and it wasn't even crowded with plenty of seats. The quality of the lobster was not good. I noticed the center of the lobster tail was a bit undercooked and didn't taste fresh. Also, the claws were very dry. I ended up getting a really bad stomachache after dinner that lasted the entire next day. Maybe I just got a bad lobster, I don't know. But for me, the burger was the only thing that was tasty here. All I can say is that I have tasted very fresh, juicy lobster at other restaurants compared to this place. For a place that's supposed to be known for lobsters, this establishment was a major disappointment.

Spoiler alert, they are overpriced and need improvement, as do the shakes. The burgers at the pub across the street are probably a better bet, unfortunately. Burger was received as ordered, double-stack. Their house beer cheese is tasty and the beef is flavorful and juicy. However, the patties are poorly formed, largely unseasoned, and small (6oz, hence the double). Mixed feelings on this but a burger shouldn't be domed in the middle nor should it be without basic seasoning unless it really is superior quality. And even then! We also ordered a freakshake, something they're known for. Our server said they were out of multiple ingredients to make it, so we switched to an alcoholic shake (Reeses with a shot of rum, as advertised). We received a thin, icy concoction that didn't taste much like peanut butter, along with a separate shot to be mixed in ourselves, making the consistency even thinner. Oh, and they charged us more by billing separately for the shot. Two thumbs down, zero effort.

The dining area in the back is a bit on the smaller side, and tables are close to one another. However, it worked for this tavern in that it created a more intimate environment. It was a lot of food, but it was exactly what we needed as our first meal after a long flight from the States. I found my porchetta to be slightly dry and it could have used just a little bit more of that brown gravy.
