Great food without a doubt, your burger comes with lots of fries. Self serve soda machine and always full of ice. Our burgers were absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly and timely, the fries were perfect sides for that great burger! This is a walk up diner you place your order at the counter. I like that concept others seem confused. Jeez how hard is it to read a menu. The staff were smiling and friendly eager to assist, good service. Ambiance was very casual, lots of families with children, seniors and a very open atmosphere. Yeah boy! Five Guys finally sets up shop in Westfield Shepard's Bush, and it's a big one at that. Loads of counter seating gives it a real diner vibe; the set up is almost reminiscent of Johnny Rockets back in the States. Service is fast and easy; food greasy as hell as it should be. read more

Five Guys. I've been to this branch and some of the others a few times now. I'm still yet to be won over completely. I like the decor and layout a lot. Almost like a Hospital mixed with Ed's Diner. Sort of a "BTTF Cafe 80's" version of what future generation would consider to be an American Diner. The staff? A little gormless, undertrained and distracted. Certainly don't expect U.S. levels of customer service here. The food. I like the burgers. I like the mouth-puckeringly salty fries too. Alas it's a total mess to eat. The burgers don't hold together and the fries get everywhere. It should be served in a trough, not a brown paper bag! It says something silly like "1,000,000,000 different flavours of soft drinks" behind the counter. Can someone kindly explain? I can only work out 20 or 30. Are you supposed to mix them in the cup??? The price? Way too expensive for junk food. Better burgers can be had for far less. You can get a steak and chips for less... Five Guys are good. But Honest and Byron do it better and cheaper! read more

Finally managed to make it to a Five Guys that didn't have a queue winding round the block! The menu is simple, burger, bacon, cheese. Choose your own toppings. I got a little bacon cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato and pickles. And it was so, so tasty. The patty was perfect! It's a proper fast food burger though, wrapped in foil and a little squished when you pull it out of the bag, so don't be expecting Byron burger. The chips are super-salty (just the way I like them!) and come in massive servings. Me and Dave A shared a large and it was way too much for us. First time here. It's a fast food joint rather than pitched at the GBK/Byron market. We queued for only a few mins to order then waited for our order number to be called out. The beauty of Five Guys is the menu simplicity-no kiwi burgers here, just burgers and basic toppings. I had a cheese burger. I thought it was excellent. The meat patty is rough and irregular shape which tends to support them i not being factory made. A word of warning- the "regular" chips are huge. The little chips were enough for us. read more

I first tried this branch when it opened but wasn't impressed and by looking at the other reviews, I wasn't the only one. I'm happy to say that someone is obviously reading reviews and reacted because there's been a huge improvement. Service is great, smiley and efficient from the cashier to the person calling numbers. The burgers themselves are juicy, thick, meat and quite good. The option for as many toppings as you like keeps things interesting and differentiates them from their competition. The toppings are plentiful and of good quality except the tinned mushrooms. If the mushrooms were freshly roasted in-house, I'd be in here every month. Fries were excellent, super hot, great portion size. Drinks machine is great and fascinating fun. I've been won over by the delicious messiness and will return with greater frequency. read more

The three stars only come from the fact that I am addicted to 5guys cheeseburgers. This restaurant is, of course - being located in a mall, pretty busy. Still the staff should not be rude or seem stressed out. Been here a few times, but most likely will not travel there just for a decent burger. The seating outside is always packed with non-patrons, you have children walking over tables (literally), and the staff couldn't care less. The inside seating area could be cleaned more often, and the soda machines should work too (only one works at a time it seems). Not a fan of this one. read more

I'm not too sure what I think of Five Guys... It's a little bit hit and a little bit miss, for me. The burgers are really great - fresh, juicy, very nicely cooked and customisable just the way you want them. The shakes are pretty good - I had the salted caramel - though, I don't think they compare to those at Ed's Diner a few minutes' walk away which are in another league. They use peanut oil, which for me is overpowering and makes the fries not as enjoyable or fresh-tasting as they should be. But each to his own. On the day we went, there was no queue and we were able to have our order taken immediately but then waited more than 10 minutes after our order to receive our food and a further 10 minutes for the milkshakes (which the server very kindly gave us our money back for as an apology for the delay). And I think that's the problem, when you're paying a (relative) lot of money for fast food, you want it fast and it just wasn't happening on that occasion. Waiting all that time for our food and milkshake gave us a lot of time to watch the restaurant, which just appears very badly organised. There is a lot of shouting between line chefs and person who I assume is an expediter; and shouting between servers behind the station and those walking about the floor; but no real communication or understanding actually seems to be going on at all... and none of that shouting seemed to help us get our food in any quicker! Just a lot of noise. Noise that is really annoying when you're hungry and trying to have a conversation. I guess other people go for that kind of 'buzz' though... so it's really just down to personal preference. We were back in Westfield at dinner time, hungry and with an hour to kill yesterday, and we opted for fail-safe Ed's instead. Sure the patty may not taste as great, but the atmosphere is so much better, the servers are really cheery and friendly and the salad is super fresh! read more

Best burgers. I realy dont know what the other people are talking about, as these are simply the best burgers with some how over 20 drinks all with diffrent flavours for brand. The burgers are to die for and and me and my partner share one chips because you can ask them for extra fries and they easily give you extra with no hesetation. read more

I wanted to like this place but the burgers were cooked to ash and despite adding my own chosen burger contents, they were bad quality and stingy proportions. Oh and soggy chips. Not cheap either for what it is. read more

My wife and I had always heard that Five Guys was an great place to get a meal, so before we went to the cinema we took our first and last EVER trip to Five Guys. Good Things: *The cashier taking my well earned money was very nice and had a big smile! Bad Things: *We ordered two types of Fries the salted and spicy but was served both as Salted in the same bag. *The fries were the worst fries I've ever tasted in any food place! they were cold, the older burnt fries left in the fryer were sticking to the newer fries served to you, and they tasted like they used the grease from a hobo's hair after he had not washed in over 3 months. *The burger!!! Wife got a bacon Cheese burger, the bacon was so badly cooked my wife pick up a piece of bacon and the bacon turned to dust! No word of a lie! The presentation of the burger was poorer than a McD's burger but a 1000 times over!! *The Hog Dog, the dog was burnt, the bacon was burnt to dust again, the cheese was liquid!! And the bun had a face on it only a mother could love, i felt like calling the RSPCA just to put the dog down!!!! *Milkshakes, for £4.75 you get 1/3 worth of milkshake in a cup then they mix the milkshake up until the cup is full so the math is 1/3 milkshake 2/3 Air oh sorry with a little dab of chocolate flavouring!!! Served in a small ass cup!!!! For 5 quid!!!!(want to know how to make a shake go GBK) I can honestly say this was the worst food establishment we have ever been to! And before all the fanboys get on these comments, I been to America and the portions are bigger,better, more options and they care!!!
