Oh My Days! i love this place the burgers are HUGE! move over Big Mac. The restaurant itself is very well kept and looks good. The service was really good, with polite staff. For starters i decided to order Cajun Chicken pieces that comes with sweet chilli sour cream dip. Oh my days! seriously this is one to try, it was divine in texture and taste! I then went for the Kiwi burger which was well presented and like i said before HUGE! it had 100% Angus beef with egg,beetroot,pinapple,cheese, salad and mayo. I mean WOW it was juicy and delicious, my mouth's watering as i write. You need to cut the the buger in half to eat it unless you have a bigger mouth then the average human being. I manage to make my way to the chips although i didn't finish, (the burger added with the starter was filling) The chips were not saying much personally, but the rest brilliant. I couldnt even eat breakfast the next morning i was that full. For you veggies they have a vegterain selection. Their is a selction for kids. And you can create your own buger if you dont fancy any of the burgers on the menu (i doubt it). The burgers are priced from 6 to 8 pounds but well worth it. Because its in Westfields, their so much to do, shop for starters! or afters, whatever you fancy. Wowwy wow! Talk about good burgers! First off, come hungry or ready to share. Even the smalls here are larger than most burgers, and the larges are good to feed a small nation. (Related, one of the reasons they're at 4 instead of 5 stars is because they were out of large buns, so I had to settle for a large burger on a small bun. Apparently this is common.) Also, a single serving of chips is enough to share...this place doesn't skimp on quantity! I ordered the Jamaican burger and absolutely recommend it. The menu says it comes with a "mango and ginger sauce," but didn't warn me that it'd give me inappropriate thoughts. Yeah, it's that good. I didn't add any custom extras because I wanted an official sanctioned burger, but were I to go back (and I will!) I'd request onions on the burger. Though the burger is already so tasty it might not be worth the £1. The crew here was very helpful. We had never been and our server politely explained the ordering process. The wait was a bit long when trying to order, but they were crowded so can't really complain. As mentioned before, they were out of large buns, so when our food came out we mentioned we were supposed to have larges. The server promptly took our order back and was prepared to have it remade, before the unfortunate news came down. I was pleased with the service here. As a few other people have mentioned, this place is a bit pricy. You're looking at at least £8 for a burger. Add on chips and a drink and you're up to £10-12. Want a shake? Hm, not brilliant really. Now this is a burger by formula restaurant chain, it seems to have lost all it's sense of purpose. This place is in a long line of places that face out on top a very long bring brick wall. I went here with my Girl friend one night, it was good. I have been to better I will give you that, I ordered the big meat I think it was? This was 2 burgers on top of each other with some salad. I forgot the fries, which which my own fault. I ordered some appetizers for us, they were good. The sauce that came with my girlfriends appetizer was stunning, I had no idea what it was. BUT wow, I was amazed, I even asked them too leave it so I can have some with my burger. The burger was a bit, charcoal tasting, I know its grilled, but this tasted too grilled. But I ate through it, I was hungry. I was reasonably surprised at the bill, only cost around 30 - 40, so for 2 meals, appetizers and drinks, very good for price. One thing that need improvement maybe, is the service, it was not amazing. Yes, they did come round and ask "Everything ok" but that was normally when there were empty plates on the table. They seemed to stand around talking to each other, which is fine, just not when you are busy and wanting to ask something. All in all enjoyable, just some minor faults. Bottom line: a bit pricey, but decent burgers. I went to Gourmet Burger Kitchen because of the quotes on the board proclaiming that other patrons believed it to have "the best burgers in the world," and because I was craving some of the bites of home (America). I had to wait for a few minutes by the door before I was seated, at which point I was led to an un-wiped table and shown a menu. I was told that I had to order at the counter, and that the food would be delivered to me. So far, okay, though the water-rings on the table were a bit of a turn off. After I had settled on my meal, I approached the counter, where I was asked what my table number was. Having no idea (I checked later, there is no indication) I just gestured at my table (22, the cashier said), and ordered. My drink arrived about 5 minutes later, followed by my food after about another 5. When my food arrived, the waiter said "thank you" and placed it down on top of my open newspaper before giving me time to move it. A second, helpful waitress helped me move the paper. So, needless to say, the service was okay, but nothing spectacular. My drink, a lime milkshake (£3.65), was very large (a full us-style diner-sized milkshake container and a glass to drink it from), and was really interesting, though I don't think I would have it again. It wasn't quite what I was expecting (key lime pie) and somehow managed to both taste creamy and like lime-ade simultaneously. As far as texture went though it was great, so I would definitely get it again. My side dish were some french fries, which were cut rather thick in the british style. However, they were surprisingly crispy and if they had just been a little thinner they would have been amazing (I don't like feeling like I have chunks of boiled potato in my french fries). The fries were £2.75, which I assumed included one of the sauces listed, but appently it didn't as I also got charged £1.55 for the decent smoked chilli mayonnaise. Now, how about the actual burger? It was decent. The bun was nice and the lettuce was fantastically crunchy. I ordered the chilli burger (£7.35), which despite not meeting my expectations for chili (I guess one "l" makes a difference - I expected a spicy meat sauce and instead received sweet and tangy tomatos and cilantro) was very tasty and about the right size (for an American burger anyway). The meat however was nothing special - just an average diner burger, cooked medium. Strangely, despite emphasising twice that the burgers were cooked medium I found mine to be a bit dry/tough (despite delicious condiments). All in all, I thought this restaurant did a decent job. The flavors were all really creative, but I think that the textures and service could do with a bit of work. Also, the entire meal turned out rather more expensive than it should have been (£15.30, though I couldn't quite finish the fries) and I couldn't help but feel as if I'd been nickeled and dimed. OH MAN. if burgers were this good i would never have wasted all my money on mcdonalds and burger king! the burger patties are HUGE.filled with wonderful relishes and salad leaves and everything in between. its an effort to fit it in your mouth but it tastes amazing!! cajun chicken pieces are delicious and a wonderufl starter. although there is a vegetarians option, quite frankly its disgusting and this place is not exactly a vegetarians retreat. the setting of the resturant is very homey and comforting. the grill is veiwable to the public so u can see the meats being grilled. and since they are grilled they are much healthier than something deep fried. you would think that a burger place would have a limited menu but surprisingly they have some very interesting choices. and the fact that they provide a 2 for 1 voucher in some promotional month means u can eat for even less if u have a buddy with u(preferably not a vegetarian!!). its is slightly more expensive than you would pay for a burger but oh is it worth it!! its a wonderful place for a casual night out with the friends. as long as u dont mind eating with ur hands and having sauce run down ur fingers and lick it off in front of your friends. i mean it!!- these burgers are like the leaning tower of piza of burgers. u need all ur fingers along with that well evolved opposable thumb it barely hold it together. end of the meal with a gorgeous one litre oreo milkshake. though dont rush it. give some time for ur food to settle before you order it or you're going to be there all night trying to finish it. overall a nice, warm way to spend an evening with close friends or family in a relaxed, non formal atmosphere. excellent for celebrations as going aways or congratulations on ur new job! read more

This is for sure overpriced for a burger. However, it is a mighty fine burger. I had the streaky bacon with avocado. I was a little disappointed that it was guacamole instead of just slices of fresh avocado. It was still good, I just wish the menu would have told me that is what it was. I do not like that you have to order chips separate. That bugs me. For a 7 or 8 quid burger you should get a bunch of chips on your plate, that should just be part of the deal. However, all of that aside, I loved my lunch. It really tasted as if I had a burger off the barbecue in the US. Hit the spot. Plus by the time we were done there was a line going out the door. So I am not the only one who is willing to shell out some cash for one of these juicy delights. I like a place that only does one thing, but does it right. read more

Like the previous reviewer I was also lured here by the attractive 2for1 voucher. This made the disappointment a bit more bearable. Staff are obviously trained to sell as many items as possible, and before we even had time to properly look at the menu agreed to some marinated olives with our drinks. They were very vinegary and came with mini cucumbers and large numbers of pickled garlic, but at least made the long wait for the main order a bit more bearable. While the drinks order is taken by the staff when you first arrive, you have to go up to the counter to place your food order. Well, I suppose this is just a souped up burger bar after all. Very happy with the fairly large choice of vegetarian options. However, the butternut squash variety we both opted for was rather disappointing. If you want to add some flavour, you have to pay for the additional sauces it seems This burger at least came just with a lettuce leaf, some raw onion rings an a small dollop of tomato pickle. But the main reason for the low rating are the chips. They are expensive at almost £3 and the opposite of gourmet. They looked promising, nice and chunky but tasted nasty and somewhat artificial. No idea if they are meant to taste like this, but this has certainly put me off GBK for good. As you pay for your food as you order, staff show no interest in you once they have brought the food. So the only means of feedback is a bad rating on Qype. I won't go back, not even with a money off voucher. read more

I'm a GBK fan, as luckily my local branch is always excellent. However, this branch doesn't do it for me. The food is continually below par. Sometimes, it isn't cooked right. Sometimes, they skimp on the sauces. Sometimes, the burger falls apart too easily. The chips are always overcooked. GBK as a chain is about good, fresh burgers and this branch consistently does it wrong. Not the worst but not even that good. read more

This is the only GBK I've ever been too but have enjoyed three meals there in the last month! Mainly due to the 2for1 burger promotion as otherwise I couldn't justify £8 for a burger (get dinner with a friend, use the voucher, split the bill and it'll be a reasonable £4 a piece), but the food really is superb and filling. I love the avocado bacon burger, plus the chips are gorgeousbut you'd expect that for £2.75 a pop! The restaurant's located in the newly opened Westfield shopping centre, around the back of Shepherd's Bush tube station. It's on the outside parade so you don't have to traipse through the mall to find it. The staff are very polite and helpful and although the resturant's usually quite busy, we never have to wait too long for a table. I can't think of anything negative about it if you have a 2for1 voucher (the staff happily accept it). I just wouldn't consider dining there dining there without a similar value-for-money promotion. read more

This place is brilliant! The staff are very efficient and even if it seems very busy they always manage to get you seated in no time at all. You go to place your order yourself, the queue is never very long and the food always gets to you in a reasonable time. There are plenty of staff so even though you have to order yourself, you are never forgotten about. The falafel burger is out of this world and tastes so fresh and light and you have to try one of their milkshakes, absolutely delicious. If you want a quick, high quality, reasonably priced burger this is definitely the place to go. read more

Very good place to eat, nice atmosphere large windows let in lots of natural light. The menu is very good you get lots of choice on the burger front, was a little surprised that they come with nothing, as they cost about £10 each. Missed the Marting Lewis Money Saving Expert Vouchers by only a few days. However decided to give it a try. I wish I'd stuck with my original choice of the Mexican a few doors up. Began with glass of their supposed Estate Bottled Sauvignon Blanc. Dreadful. No depth or flavour. Sent it back. I've never had a glass of wine in my hand long enought to have been able to send it back! The Waitress was very good but struggled with being questioned on the menu. I asked if the Chorizo and Sweet Potatoe Burger included a Burger as well or if it was merely Chorizo and Spud? She assured me it also containe a burger. It didn't! The Chirizo was very good though. i have been to this GBK a couple of times and really enjoy the food, especially the bacon avocado burger. food is perhaps a bit pricey for burgers so would definately recommend using a voucher. staff were not too friendly on my last visit and the banana milkshake i ordered was very disappointing and tasted like a lime shake. read more
