Byron isn't anything special but it's a solid, crowd-pleasing option for a casual dinner. My mushroom veggie burger was excellent, and came with a very generous amount of aged goat cheese. My girlfriend got the "Classic" chicken, which she enjoyed. Both were quite filling.
I highly recommend ordering your burger "skinny" to swap the bun for a nice little salad -- mine was baby arugula and cherry tomatoes. Both tastier and healthier than plain bread, and gets you out of trying to fit the whole burger in your mouth to take a bite (which inevitably gets food all over your face/hands and eventually ends in resorting to fork-and-knife anyway).
The courgette fries were nice, if a bit bland. We dipped them in aioli, though I'm not sure whether that was intended for dipping or if it came with the mushroom burger.
We were quite full from the burgers and courgette fries but there are some monster desserts here that sound delicious and perfect to share between 2-3 people. A milkshake is made with 4 scoops of ice cream, and the giant desserts have ice cream, a slice of cake, and whipped cream.
Prices are average-- £8-12 for the burger, £3-5 for sides, £8ish for shareable desserts. read more
