Home away from home. This place reminded me of some of the late night greasy spoons you'd find in Chicago's south side on a late night with s little more flare. It was nice to be in another country and find a little piece of home. What's interesting about this place is not only the name but the memorabilia plastered on the walls throughout. Pictured that showcase Millennium parks famed "Bean", The Blues Brothers, The Chicago Flag amongst other things were really cool. It gives the people in Hammersmith a slight glimpse into one of the best cities in the world. This place was within walking distance from our hotel and one of the only places that stayed open late. Our first night finding it, they were closing. Once we told them we were from Chicago, they were pleased to service us. They fired up the grills and got to cooking. There were 4 of us total and they made sure to live up to our cities great name by serving quality eats. We tried just about everything on the menu, seeing us how we ate here 4-5 times throughout the duration of our stay. Being from Chicago you become spoiled when it comes to dining out and cuisine because there are so many great options. London, ehh not so much. The food here at several restaurants was bland and disappointing. Burger and Lobster was great. Outside of that this place saved our asses or else I probably would've just had to survive on fruits and water for the remainder of our trip. read more
