Rubbish food. When you order a takeaway it doesn't all turn up. It's very expensive for what you get.

Branded Beef - Steak frites with peppercorn sauce

This review is for Branded, a restaurant in Sevenoaks. After…read morespending the morning exploring Knole, the stately home nearby, a friend and I wandered down the High Street in search of lunch. We considered a few places before deciding on Branded--and I'm so glad we did. We arrived a bit early, so the restaurant was still quiet. Inside, it's surprisingly spacious yet manages to feel warm and intimate. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Given Branded's reputation for great beef, it only seemed right to order both a hamburger and a steak. We began with the rock shrimp tempura, beautifully crisp and light, followed by a Caesar salad that was fresh, generous, and ideal for sharing. The burger was outstanding--two juicy patties layered with bacon, Jack cheese, and truffle mayo, cooked to perfection. My rib-eye steak with peppercorn sauce and frites could easily hold its own in a Parisian bistro: tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. If you're planning a visit to Knole, skip the café there and head to Branded instead. It's the kind of meal that turns a good outing into a memorable day.

This used to be gourmet burger bar, but in April 2012 reopened as Branded beef…read more As the name suggests, it focuses mainly on beef - steaks and burgers in various guises. However, they do have quite a few other things to offer. There were several fish dishes and even a couple of vegetarian offerings. This was supposed to be a quick lunch for three girls, and of course we lived up to the stereotype and had the skinny burgers (no bun or cheese) and shared the fries. Even so, I was pretty full for several hours afterwards. The burger was nice, not the most perfect piece of hamburger meat ever, but ok. The fries (fat chips) were actually delicious. The thing that really let it down was the salad - very nice fresh leaves doused in some sort of sweet and citrus dressing that jarred with the whole plate. Pity, as I needed something to eat with the burger! The service was lovely - very attentive and friendly. The place itself is a little cold - lots of leather, cow hide lampshades and bar stools, but the bench seating that I sat on was hard, cold wood - much better to have leather seats throughout I think. Overall it was perfectly pleasant, but there was nothing to make me go rushing back.

Usually, places have minimum orders, especially for delivery, but I didn't see one. I did want some spuds and a lemonade with it, but the sequence of screens didn't allow for changing the order. I'd have to start all over again. After getting frustrated with that, I decided to just go ahead and try finishing the order with ONLY the burger. I expected it to not let me. But it did. HOWEVER, once it was delivered, joke was on me. See pic. That's one of the smallest, plainest burgers I've ever had. Dollar bill is for size comparison. Note there's no lettuce, no onlons, no mayo. Just some melted cheese, a puny burger and plain buns. That's it. And no second burger, either. For $15 plus a driver tip!?!?!? I called them, but the guy on the phone kept giving me the runaround, telling me to call UberEats, even though I emphasized it was their offer, their sent 'order', and I was paying them. Of course, on the UberEats website there's no real way to even contact them. They had a brand new customer. One that was ready to like 'em and do more busines. Not now. Quite the opposite. RIPOFFS!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to write a colorful culinary review of this burger joint but I didn't want to put readers to sleep before I officially recommend Dirty Burger. If you are in London near Embankment or Vauxhall or Lambeth or at the MI6 headquarters, get your arse down to Dirty Burger and bite into the meaty cheesy greatness and enjoy the glorious french fries (frites) and the surprisingly savory donuts. DB is also hangover worthy as they stay open pretty late. As for the burgers, Dirty Burger encases the patties in exact proportion to the bun such that the bun is not violating the meat and toppings it's holding. I never appreciate things like that until I get a bun that dwarfs the meat. I don't know if they use local grass-fed cows, Angus, moose, Spanish Toros or whatever and I don't live in London so I really didn't care. But where ever the beef originated, god bless that place! Don't forget to top your burger! Onions are a must, cheese is a must and bacon is a must. You can't be calorie counting at DB. Attack those calories! Show 'em you ain't scared! The place is small but it serves the purpose. Decent background music and clean facility. Don't remember a toilet being there. Prices are great. A good meal for less than £9. Staff is efficient and courteous. 5***** no doubt!

My boyfriend found this burger restaurant on another review site which said 'the best burger shop…read morein London' or something like that and we decided to go to Lewisham just for the burger! I have to admit that it's the best burger I've ever had in London!! I ordered Rox melted burger because I was tempted by grilled onions and melted cheese! Awww, so tasty! I was very satisfied with all of the fresh ingredients and the fantastic combination of onions, cheese, angus beef, bacon and a brioche bun! Also I enjoyed a bite of the Rox Blue Burger that my boyfriend ordered! Can you believe that you can enjoy both mozzarella cheese and blue cheese at once? Although the Rox chips were also delicious, we just couldn't stop eating the burgers. The burger was quite dense so I couldn't finish it all so I took it back home. Of course eating it at the restaurant is better, but it was still good at home! When we were at the restaurant, some delivery staff brought some fresh fruits and veggies so I felt they use good quality fresh ingredients! The restaurant was small but cosy and I liked the stylish interior! It's a family-friendly restaurant but great for anyone! Oh, I shouldn't forget to mention that the glass for the tap water was an American style jar with lime! The overall price was also fantastic, I highly recommend a visit to this quaint American burger bar!

I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place. I ordered the Chorizo burger and they cooked…read morethe party exactly how I wanted it. The bun was well toasted, the cheese didn't over power the flavor of the burger patty, and the chorizo was a nice touch. They use a different type of chorizo than in the states so it was a nice change to the norm. Along side it I ordered the Rox fries, but honesty I wasn't impressed. Basically it was fries sprinkled lightly with some herbs and some cheese, nothing special. One complaint is that they messed up the other half of my order. Ordering for a friend who is deathly allergic to cheese, I asked for no cheese. The guy taking my order, before putting it in read off to me my order and specifically said the cheese is omitted, it evens says on the receipt. On this particular night I picked up the burgers for take away so when I brought it back to the house we noticed there was cheese! However they refunded it in the end, just make sure if you're making modifications to check a couple of times.

When approaching mama leahs the decor was warm with a young urban feel . Bricked walls with an inspirational portrait of the infamous Muhammad Ali. Moderately high celling towered by jar light shades. My kind of place from get go. Warmly greeted by the barman and I assume the front houseman . Straightaway to the cocktails!! We went for the classic strawberry dacauri !! For £5.95 was reasonably price for a reasonable size not water downed but refreshingly sweet. For starters I ordered the garlic bread and cheese . Wasn't to crazy but I got what I ordered garlic bread and cheese :) For my main I ordered the almighty burger with a side of coleslaw and fries . On It's arrival i was amazed . This stagger of burger was 4meat patties tall with cheese tomato the full works and it was cooked to perfection!! The coleslaw was amazing sweet and crunchy. This meal was not for the faint hearted . A few critiques maybe more sauce in the burger and less juice in the coleslaw otherwise amazing!!!!!. My friends on the other hand ordered the chicken and lamb chops with plantain chips and coleslaw with its colour platter of glazed jerked lamb very well seasoned again tasted and looked sensational . This seemed to be a popular dish at mama Leah's and oozed beautifully seasoned aromas . My other friend order the prawns with rice and plantain . As soon as it arrived the aromas filled our table. It's smelt and tasted amazing . Towards the latter part of the evening dessert awaited us. I ordered the Oreo dunky pancakes my friend ordered the simples which consisted of a waffle and vanilla ice cream and my other friend ordered the Bueneo milkshake. Milkshake rich creamy goodness . The simples warm waffles with creamy ice cream Oreo dunky pancakes , fresh rich Oreo greatness. Overall amazing amazing. Kind sweet service throughout the night with amazing food. Not afraid about the portions for very reasonable price . Definitely can't wait to go again!! This will be a new fav place to be!!

I was pretty loyal to GBK (let's be honest, for the baconnaise). However, I was sending emails of complaint after every order because the food was either cold or just incorrect. With that in mind, last night I decided to branch out and try Tommi's instead. It's wait time was a third of GBK's and I'd perused the menu a few times before. They also do sweet potato fries which as any self respecting burger chomper will know, is an absolute deal maker. I fancied chicken so opted for the chicken burger with guacamole and the sweepo fries. I was excited. And hungry. So very hungry. The delivery time was listed at 25 minutes but I waited barely 20. Result. When I opened the bag, I was surprised by how generous the portion of fries were (half were in the bottom of the bag, but I didn't choose the fry life, the fry life chose me). The burger was wrapped up in a box. The burger itself was delicious and the chicken fillet was particularly generous! The guac was on the measley side - probably a tsp worth which isn't enough for people who worship avocados. People like me. The fries were lush though and I enjoyed them with a little pot of chipotle mayo. I'd definitely order from Tommi's again. I like that the menu is straight forward and they have SO many sauce choices. Added to this the express delivery time and all I can say is: Cheerio, GBK. You've stacked it.

After going to the Marylebone branch a long while ago, I just knew it was gonna be good! GOOD I tell you, it was more than that. Classic case of foodgasm from the moment it arrived.. So deliveroo managed to deliver early, which I thought a takeaway service was impossible to be honest, but they did and damn did they deliver!! I ordered the grilled chicken burger, which was like something from a dream, super flavoursome and despite me not being a fan of mayo, it actually complemented the burger a lot. It was a classic case of a dirty burger, but at this point, I was so far from caring, it was just too damnnnnn good! I complemented my burger with sweet potato fries and well these are exactly how I like my fries, crispy and cooked just enough.. Mmm and the bbq fire dip was an inspired choice! This was literally a dream meal and hands down the best takeaway I've ever had! After this meal, I'm gonna venture out to their branch and experience the in store treatment.
