I've tried a lot of burger places, that were supposed to be the best burger in town and was never blown away. But tonight, at Rox burger I've eaten THE BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE. Fluffy brioche burger: check . Tender meat cooked to perfection: check . Fries topped with parmesan and rosemary: check ( and they're not cheap on the parmesan) Refreshing lemonade: check . I woulr recommend the mexican burger (with a loooooot of guacamole) Service is fantastic. Count £30 for 2 people. They also do take away.

Spent the night at a friends in Lewisham and after a heavy night before was informed that there was new burger place open on the high street. As I am always in search of good burgers in London, and because I hoped it would help the hangover, we popped by. The interior is clean and unfussy and there were already a few customers seated. As we glanced the menu I was pleased with the choices. My friend ordered the rox sun burger and I order the rox classic cheeseburger with an added fried egg. As it arrived we were impressed with the appearance of our burgers. Tidy, manageable to hold and a good size. The bun was good and held together well and the egg was well cooked but unfortunately the burger patty was a bit dry. It was not overcooked by any means, however I don't believe they used beef with a high enough fat content to produce the juiciness and flavour expected from a burger in London these days. Everything about the place was great, friendly staff, good condiments, good prices etc. just the patty let it down. I would be willing to try Rox burger again next time I'm in the area with the hope of bumping this up to a four star if the patty is juicier as I would like to see this place to well.

Amazing. The head cook here already had a reputation for excellent homestyle meals, it's no wonder the food at his new flagship restaurant is simply depicious.

Finally somewhere cool in Lewisham!! This is so close to my house, it's dangerous and now I can order on Deliveroo! Help me! I brought my friend here who was visited from West London and we were both really impressed. We received a friendly welcome when we walked into the restaurant and got seated right away. I ordered the Rox Sun as I was really in the mood for avocado and my friend had the Rox Mogollon. The Magollon comes with a fried egg which my friend didn't want it, but I actually wanted to add an egg to my burger and they were kind enough to put the egg from her burger onto mine without me having to pay for an additional topping (£1.50), which was kind of them. Our burgers were delicious, but I could have done with more of the topping, i didn't feel there was a lot of it and my friend only got one piece of chorizo on her burger. The burgers don't come as meals with fries, so you have to order them separately, which I thought was a bit strange. We decided to share one portion of the Parmesan fries, which were really tasty, although you could easily eat one portion per person. Rox burger is definitely one to add to my list of local gems that I will keep in mind when I have a burger craving and the prices aren't too bad either.

Brilliant real quality burgers. Fresh juices. Lewisham keeps on getting better places to eat. Recommended.

So I decided to come here to get some fries. I don't go to Five Guy at all in Los Angeles but since I was nearby this store during my work trip in London, I wanted to try it. I placed my order through their kiosk outside of the store. You can also order with someone at the counter too. I got the Cajun fries and went inside to wait for my order at the pick up area. I had to show my receipt to one of the worker and he started preparing my fries. They give you a lot of fries, he filled up the cup and put even more in the bag. I ate my fries inside of the place, I found a seat near the drinks machine. The Cajun spice on the fries were delicious and they were generous with how much seasoning they put. I enjoyed my fries and had to take some back to the hotel since there was so much. The customer service here was amazing.

Five Guys happened to be the first one we saw so we just went there! Well, it's a Five Guys Yelpers... What did you expect? Same burgers, same fries, same speed... Bref, it's the Five Guys that you know. If anything specific to this one, I would say that the team is very lovely. And patient, which is very rare in fast food restaurants. Because of the ATP Master's, the O2 was incredibly busy that day so I guess that's why they had so many customers then, all handled very well. Chapeau guys, will come back next time I crave a quick burger before a movie!

Fat Boy's Diner - Fat Boy's Diner serving as a backdrop for wedding photos at Trinity Buoy Wharf - so romantic!

Overall Trinity Buoy Wharf seems much more cluttered, every inch is covered in shipping containers converted into workspace with cars parked where there was a lovely open space. The art installations now look quite forlorn between the cars. But back to Fat Boy's, a very apt name for a diner serving almost exclusively deep fried dishes. Not really what we were after on one of the hottest day of this hottest summer in human memory. But they also have air con which made them win over the Orchard Cafe on this occasion. We had a smoothie each (not sure how fresh these were, tasted like canned juice blended with crushed ice) and shared a haloumi wrap - a welcome pit stop to tide us over.

My friend Jimmy and I *finally* came here to fulfill a quest for a diner blueberry pie that started LONG ago after a brush with "My Blueberry Nights" and this incident: http://tinyurl.com/yd9cess . And while we *knew* Fat Boys had the pie, it took us a year and his acquisition of a car (mainly his acquisition of a car) before we made it ALLLLLL the way out to the far flung wharf on which this chrome plated trailer restaurant sits. As we got closer to our destination, we were a bit leery of our industrial surroundings and heading into the dodgy alley that precedes Fat Boys we couldn't help but think: "Umm??? Was this really such a great idea?? How do we know this place is still even open?? After all, WHO comes here??? WHERE ARE WE???" But once we arrived, it was *totally* worth it. Okay, so inside it was freezing cold. Okay, so they were out of malt. Okay, so they probably should NOT have carved through that rock hard avocado and charged me 75p extra for the pleasure of picking it off my veggie burger. Okay, so they only had one slice of blueberry pie left (and it was a rather nondescript, soggy, too-long-frozen pie - so actually, we were lucky they only had one) BUT we still liked the place. I mean, isn't all the above what you sort of expect of a retro diner experience?? Really, you're here for the atmosphere: the individual jukeboxes on the tables, the retro vinyl stools, the appropriate plastic kitsch everywhere, the soda fountain drinks, the jump jive music, the fact that you've successfully been transported to another era. If you have a car (or want to spend a fortune on cab fare) I HIGHLY recommend that you make the trek out here for a singular and fun dining experience (hey... the filmmakers of "Sliding Doors" did...). And if you do, tell them that eccentric blonde girl/chinese guy duo sent you (they'll know who you're talking about). Maybe even order the Blueberry Pie - just to say you did.
