I'm not a fan of diner style restaurants which flog hardly anything but burgers and chips (with the occasional salad). I'm not a massive fan of burgers anyway and I don't think anyone is judged for picking up a cheeky helping of fast-food if they're in a hurry but when I'm sitting in a restaurant/diner and ordering a meal, I don't want the choice to be one of only five or six (slightly) different burgers - or a salad. It's difficult to get excited about and there isn't much to look forward to, unless you're just plain starving and anything will do. Leaving my previous burger related grievances aside, this Byron just isn't very good. The staff were friendly but forgetful, managing to completely forget some of our order, although the rest of the meal which did arrive was OK - just OK though. The one and only highlight of this experience was their 'Courgette Fries'. Basically just strips of battered courgette, but quite nice it was. Byron try to design and decorate every outlet of theirs differently and I appreciate they have many outlets so this task becomes difficult to carry out after a while. This Byron, however, is quite a let down. It's unique design and decoration is... completely undesigned and undecorated. Just bare, exposed walls and ceilings. Structure work and wiring on display, the whole place looks as if the builders are only halfway through working on the place. You can see what they're obviously trying to do but the result is unappealing, deeply unattractive and actually just boring. None of this is helped by the school style wooden chairs that litter the place. Arse-numbingly uncomfortable. Believe it or not, I have previously enjoyed eating in a Byron but this experience was far removed from that one. It's only fair of me to acknowledge that many people do actually enjoy eating in burger peddling diners, which is fine for those who do but it has a time and a place for me. And that time isn't particularly often. Each to their own, I guess. Ian

    Byron Burger with Avocado. Delicious.

What makes Byron great is not just the food, but the customer service. They spend time with each customer getting to know the table and really looking after you. This Bryon lives up to all the others and whats quite nice is its big and spacious so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of everyone. The food was yummy and quick, its good for a quick bite to eat. I had the chicken byron burger with a slice of avocado, and they didn't hold back on the avocado which I loved.

As great as any of the other Byron outlets. I personally find the location quite charming for Canary Wharf. Can get very busy during lunch.

The Food is good as with the other Byron restaurants. This place feels a bit like a waiting room though and could do with some cheering up. The staff are friendly but the food can take a while to arrive. Basically worth going for the food. The other byron restaurants are better though.

After partying all night and craving a burger i couldn't pass on a Byron's. I went for a double classic and it was incredible. The meat was juicy and cooked perfect (medium). If your dull like me definitely go for the classic with double meat

This morning I woke up with a hangover from last night's burger meal, was still so full. #Fooddrunk

Good burgers. Nothing special. Was challenged by the ad on the door. "Proper burgers", come up just average burger.

    Review Highlights - Byron

As far as burgers go, its understandable to believe they are a little on the pricey side, but these are not your every day Maccy D's or Burger King burgers.

Pretty nice breakfast/brunch spot offering a wide array of American classics. I ordered The All…read moreAmerican (16.75 GBP), which was a typical combo of pancakes, bacon, homestyle potatoes, a sausage, and two fried eggs. It was rather plain/ordinary but certainly not bad. I have to say, the pancakes were a bit on the dry side though. Also, the eggs were sunny side up but didn't actually seem fried at all, as they were super soft without any crispiness. In addition, they didn't even add the slightest amount of seasoning on there - at least a few pepper flakes would have been nice (although there was pepper on the table, but still). The homestyle fries were well-cooked with a good crispiness though. The restaurant has a lower level with some seating as well as a larger upper level. It has a sort of old-timey kind of vibe, with wood panels along the walls and ceiling and a little performance stage in the back. It is conveniently located right next to the Canary Wharf tube station. My waitress was average friendliness and was only moderately attentive, as she never checked up on me during my meal. She also waited until I actually got my food to bring me my water. Overall, The Breakfast Club is a solid option for breakfast/brunch in Canary Wharf with pretty much any of the classics that you could want.

I just kept finding the wrong one, but TBC made it worth the wait. For those seeking "a little more conversation", stop at the bar for the friendly experience you'd expect. Today I headed upstairs to the VIP Section. Unlike my wife who never saw a pancake she wanted to go home with, I like a menu with plenty of pancake choices. And bonus points if not too many are "exotic" such as cake disguised as compote-smothered confectioners-sugar-laced trendy-named items. Just get me some sort of flapjack with or without fruit. Bonus points if you have short and tall (long?) stacks. And double-bonus if you print "flapjack" on the menu. Enough about the pancakes (my wife is saying). She doesn't even like breakfast so don't listen to her (she'd skip if I weren't always dragging her out somewhere for it). Her loss. But just one more pancake point: I got the blueberry short stack. It wasn't epic but it was a solid +6-7. That works, given my earlier frou-frou comments. I couldn't tell and maybe the maple syrup was imported from Canada (eh), but we are spoilt with our Vermont supply. So no points gained/lost there. I didn't get any baked beans (yes because this was breakfast), but my bacon was tasty as were my two Americanos (aka coffees). If I had for some reason wanted pre-noon beans...I'm sure they would have been lovely, along with all the other varied menu choices I didn't have room to sample. Service was fast and efficient, and they endured my lingering into late-morning. By the time I left it had stopped raining. Will wonders never cease.

They even blast country music over the speakers in this decked out wooden interior. I ordered a brisket sandwich that also had sausage. I wasn't going to expect much from a BBQ restaurant in London, but they impressed me. The brisket was juicy and full of a rich smoky flavor. How did they do this way out here?? The sausage was also juicy and had a delightful flavor. If I didn't know any better, this tasted just as good as a BBQ brisket sandwich back in the US. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and some coleslaw. There was a generous amount of brisket on the sandwich, where some US restaurants only give you two slices of brisket and call it good. I was stuffed with just this sandwich, and didn't need any sides.

I'd say this is a fun place to come with a group of friends and take advantage of their specials.
