We went there on Saturday, 21 May 2022, The hostess sat us (4:30 pm.) and then no one appeared for 15 min, I finally had to go see hostess and she was busy yukking it up with a waitress at the front of the restaurant and we didn't even have anyone acknowledge us. Hostess got a little cranky with me when I said I have heard nothing from anyone and there was a waitress in and out of the section and no one did anything. She was like "the waitresses know their area and are supposed to check on it" she said where was I sitting? I said the corner table in the front of the building where you sat us 15 minutes ago and disappeared. Then, after ordering a $50 bottle of wine and dinner, we finally get the dinner and it was the wrong one for my spouse. How do you confuse Fettucine Alfredo with something with a red sauce. The waitress didn't even say does everything look ok, no she just sat it down and left, no checking nothing. I finally had to go back to surly hostess again and tell her wrong dinner. She said what did you order I said Fettuccine Alfredo she said what did you get I said I don't know it is a red sauce, clearly not FA. (Again hostess was chatting it up with a waitress). I told her if you can't get something simple like that right we're leaving. Then they finally get the fettuccine to us. No apologies given to us, no manager stopped by nothing. I realize there may be a staff shortage but here is an idea, stop having your hostess shoot the shit with waitresses while people are waiting. Look at the order before serving it to someone. if you're busy have the hostess get drink orders. When you screw up, apologize. At least at Little Italy in Burlington they get the order right. read more

Fantastic experience! The restaurant is closed for indoor dining right now, as you would expect, but the food is just as impressive taken out the door. Incredible specials, tantalizing menu -- and the outdoor patio is just waiting for people. I can only imagine how beautiful it is inside. I will be back, to dine in! Since moving to Burlington 28 months ago, I have dined here at least 10 times, 9 for lunch. The service is always excellent and their food is truly wonderful. The last time I was there I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT lunch special which was out of this world. Their hand cut French fries are delicious and never greasy. You can't go wrong here. read more

First of all, the people that work here are so polite and helpful! The atmosphere is sophisticated yet cozy. The food is absolutely amazing! There is no doubt that the chef starts with the freshest of ingredients and transcends those elements into sensational dishes. They run a lunch special each day of the work week ( except Monday-Closed) that usually includes sandwich/ burger with soup or salad. Just this week they served a BBQ, Bacon Swiss burger with a homemade potato soup that was soooo awesome! My only complaint is that it isn't on the regular menu. I'd like to be able to order anytime! A great value for the price. The regular menu has incredible Italian dishes.My wife and I have enjoyed the Italian cuisine a couple of times for date nights. They serve up some incredible Lasagna, Chicken Parm and the Garlic Knots are insane! This restaurant is definitely a must for those who enjoy truly great Italian food! read more

A lovely little place in Burlington. The garden outside is wonderfully landscaped, and the outside patio is very nice. Inside the décor is warm, cozy and welcoming. We were warmly greeted and well served by the staff. There are lots of items on the menu. I had Pasta and would rate it as very average. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a nice atmosphere, but the food lacks taste. My Mom ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with sausage added. The spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce tasted like canned sauce. The added sausage was non-existent it seemed. They used ground sausage and maybe only sprinkled a tablespoon on her dish. My pasta was also overcooked and tasteless. The calamari was rubbery and tasteless and the only dipping sauce offered is marinara sauce. We skipped dessert. Update 24April2015: After a friend's encouragement, I decided to give Davinci's another try. I am very glad I did, it has greatly improved. I have not had a bad dish since visiting again, the boyfriend and I have been several times, but the fettucine alfredo is the best. It is always good even when there is an off day. Service is always good. I even convinced my Mom to try it again and she really enjoyed the pizza. It is a good to place now. I changed my review from 1-star to 4-star. read more

I was in town visiting Elon with my daughter. We were looking forward to a relaxing dinner after a day of travel. The atmosphere is great, but the food was mediocre at best. My friend and I had barely finished our coffee and dessert until the HOSTESS came over to tell us our table was needed. How RUDE!! I went to this restaurant because a co-worker said he was buying and well you can't really say no to that! So off we go into this beautifully decorated restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and my co-worker actually knew the owner. She was very nice and so was our server. I got the spaghetti lunch special and although it's a simple dish it blew me away. There was something about the way it was prepared that it was just delicious. The lunch specials come with a salad and garlic knots. My co-worker had the lasagna and he seemed to enjoy it since he finished his whole meal (this was a full size plate since lasagna is not part of the lunch specials). What a nice find! Literally we were driving by and happened to spot their sign (Not too easy to do, it is almost invisible) and dropped in for a 3 o'clock meal. For the time we were there, it was great service and food that exceeded our expectations. I thought the decor was dated and over the top (think plastic ivy, Xmas glitter lights and thrift store 'art' with gold wallpaper) but still comfortable. The server was sweet and even though she added mayo to my sandwich on her own (which made it worse) I'd love to have her serve us again. NOW, the good stuff. The food was good in the old fashioned 'red sauce' Italian way that you don't see anymore. The meat sauce w/the chicken parm was like really good homemade (it reminded me of Little Italy in my hometown of Baltimore), the chicken was perfectly cooked and the pasta was not al dente BUT I'm personally tired of the undercooked pasta at so many other places. Shrimp cocktail (remember those?) was great - shrimp large, perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfect. The hot Italian sub was wonderful (except for the mayo!) & even the fries exceeded expectations. The blackberry wine pound cake was obviously home made and made good - we were so full that I thought another forkful was make me explode but we HAD to finish that cake! On the down side the pasta salad was blah (really spaghetti in pasta salad?) and the waitress added the mayo to the sandwich on her own (she later confessed - she thought I was from Minnesota! I guess everyone there gets mayo on everything). The big plus was the price for what you got. Big servings - tasty food - kind, thoughtful service and affordable. I give it five stars based on the ratio of cost to taste. Like old style southern Italian red-sauce food lika' your Momma used to-a make? Simple direct menu. Ordered the chicken parmesan and was delighted. Perfectly cooked crispy chicken and the spaghetti sauce had a good flavor. I only wish the offered other pasta shapes or a unique pasta of the day as part of the specials. Strange to see BBQ offered as a special as I wouldn't go to an Italian place for BBQ. The garlic knots were very good as other reviews stated. Had the spinach salad and it was wonderful and fresh. Also got the double chocolate flan cake which was moist. Reviews definitely overestimate the quality of Da Vinci's Table. They have ok Italian food, but nothing amazing. The restaurant is tightly packed, and thus very loud. If you are looking for the most authentic Italian Cuisine and best service, I personally would recommend Prego's over Da Vinci's. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this place is amazing. It's really cozy inside and perfect for a date night! We started out with the crab dip. Holy moly, it is to.die.for. I could have licked the bowl. They also bring out complimentary garlic knots that are buttery, garlicky goodness. Aside from all that, my spaghetti that I ordered wasn't anything great. The sauce tasted a little like canned sauce, but oh well. I'll be back to try something else! read more
