I'll start off by saying this a great coffee shop in Elon. Their coffee is good and have a variety of pastries. Prices are fair and reasonable. I've been here many times and the atmosphere is always different, sometimes it's calm music with soft chatter from other people that makes it a great study spot. Their are other times the music is quite loud and not good for studying, making the atmosphere noisy. I was also told to use the Elon public wifi, which wasn't working. Making me have to use my hotspot, which made no sense to me. Still a good spot to stop for coffee. read more

The coffee is great and you can get it in a glass or mug if you plan to stay for a bit. There is lots of seating as they have a bar area as well, but it does get busy and filled up since it is very popular! They have lots of drink options and fun syrups to try in a latte as well as good snacks like croissants and muffins. Good spot!! read more

Note: This review is for the cafe portion. Love love LOVE this place. This place is EXACTLY what Elon was missing. If you've read my previous reviews, I always said this school was missing a good coffee & tea joint to study at. The establishment is broken into two sections. The left side has shorter tables and couches with a more lounge feel- this is the cafe area. The right side is the bar area with higher bar-height tables. But during the day, students can be found studying on both sides. Music is typical coffee house music. A mix of American rock, grass roots, indie music. This place just opened a few months ago and seems to already be popular. I got a small latte $2.90. Pretty reasonably priced..cheaper than the Acorn a few doors down. I'm sad that I have already graduated and won't be able to make this my regular go to study spot. But I'm sure this place will do just fine! Great selection of locally baked goods. I forsee them having more food options in the future. If you stop in, introduce yourself to the owner, Phil. He is the mastermind behind all of this. So thankful he brought this establishment to campus. It is a perfect fit for Elon: classy, chic, simple, with a splash of hipster. P.S. Free internet. A cute coffee shop located right on Elon's campus. It is partly a coffee shop but also a bar on the other side. I came one morning and had a caramel machiatto and scone. The scone was warmed up and delicous. The caramel machiatto was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness. A great place to get some work done or catch up with friends. read more

I love this place! I come here every Tuesday to share a bottle of wine with a friend because it's half priced. They have great deals most nights and it's a great environment. I also really like the coffee and will come here to study or do work sometimes. The one downside is the lack of food options or appetizers for the bar side. I would like a few more options of food we can eat while just drinking a glass of wine. But I still order the cheese and cracker plate and it is really good. I definitely advise this place if you are looking to catch up with friends, meeting with professors, or wanting to grab a quick drink or coffee for the day. read more

Tuesdays half bottle wine and Thursday's $5 flight nights are the best. I love that it's both a coffee house and small bar. It's great for relaxing and doing some work, or getting all the friends together to catch up over a bottle of wine. The workers are friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is always laid back and fun. When I walked in I was automatically in love with this place. Having been there for the first time, I was unsure of which side to go in. Luckily, the doors were clearly labeled on which side was which. If you are not familiar with The Oak House, they have two sides, a coffee side and a bar side. I went to the coffee side. The prices were all clearly labeled with decent prices, and the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect for a college student, because it is located on Elon's campus. I will definitely be returning, and encourage you to try it if you haven't. You won't be disappointed! read more

I walked into the coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised by the interior design of the place and by the fact that it was spacious. I ordered a soy cappuccino and was disappointed by it. I ordered a cappuccino and got a latte instead. It tasted like steamed soy milk with no espresso shot. I would not come back for the coffee. read more

For a while, the Oak House was a go to study spot. There is plenty of seating on both sides (cafe and bar). Only having to walk 10 feet to re-up on coffee is always a plus. Recently, I started taking advantage of the daily specials on beer and wine, particularly on Tuesday and Friday, and I realized it was becoming a regular hang out. The staff are friendly and able to recommend the best beer/wine depending on your taste. Definitely check this spot out if you are in the area! read more

This place is great! Might even be the greatest. Today I asked for a drink that was cool and refreshing, something that could get me through the rest of the afternoon AND the night. The baristas (I've recently learned that their friends call them "Cash" and "Molly") helped me decide on an order which fit my vibe and my personality!
