First of all, my apologies to my wife. I was planning on splitting the New England clam chowder…read morewith her but it didn't make it home. In fact, it didn't make it out of the parking lot (see photo for evidence). I have no regrets, that chowder was full of chunks of clams, potatoes, celery, and corn. Buttery, creamy, and filling. Barely had room left for the Buffalo chicken popcorn shrimp but somehow I managed. Crispy, well-sauced, with just the right amount of punch. Took it to go but looks like a fun place to stay and eat. I was in and out with my food and still three employees said "Thank you, have a good day" or some iteration of that phrase. First time ever here, see you again real soon!

Cozy. Hometown. The New England clam chowder was superb. The fried clam strips were incredibly light and airy--not heavy or greasy at all. The steamed shrimp was flavorful, and the green salad was impressively fresh. The coleslaw was just mid for me--it needed a little more punch--but that's definitely a personal preference. This isn't cheap fast food. We spent about $100 for dinner for two, including tip, with no drinks. But the quality of the food made it feel worthwhile. Anthony was an absolute pleasure to meet. He shared a little of his family's history with the restaurant and we discussed family, travels, and other adventures. That personal interaction made an already great meal even more memorable. Great little spot with excellent seafood and a lot of personality. We'd happily come back!

The Chef's Table in Lynbrook was a really impressive experience from start to finish…read more It's tucked away on Watkins Street just off Merrick Road, so it definitely has that true hidden gem feel. The restaurant is warm, comfortable and a little more upscale without feeling stuffy. White tablecloths, great service and very reasonable prices. The service deserves a mention on its own because everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. I started with an Espresso Martini, which was honestly one of the best I've had, followed by a Lychee Martini that was also excellent. For food, the Calamari con Gamberi was a standout for me. I actually prefer calamari braised like this instead of breaded, and theirs was tender and full of flavor with shrimp, cherry peppers, white beans and tomato sauce. The Chef's Table Salad with shrimp was super fresh and light. The goat cheese, pear, prosciutto, pistachios and lemon thyme dressing all worked really well together without the dressing overpowering anything. The Lobster & Crab Ravioli was excellent and that saffron cream sauce was the star. I can absolutely see why this is one of their best sellers. I also tried the Pollo alla Franca with Bell & Evans organic chicken, prosciutto, spinach, artichokes, mozzarella and Port wine mushroom sauce. Rich, flavorful and very well executed. Even though I'm normally not a big dessert person, they make all of their desserts in-house, so I had to try a few. The flourless chocolate cake, warm apple tart and Belgian chocolate mousse were all excellent, especially that mousse -- very rich with a strong Belgian chocolate flavor. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last. Great Italian food, excellent cocktails, fantastic service and a true neighborhood hidden gem. Highly recommend.

We were lucky enough to stop in during long island resturant week and participate in the prefix meal. I had the research salad which was fresh and sauce. The shrimp scampi with spaghetti...the sauce was soo good and the apple tart for dessert. The chicken parm was ok but the vodka sauce another hit. Unfortunately the caprese salad and eggplant balls fell short. Will go back again for light bites
