My husband, whose first language is not English, contacted this "business" to order brownies as a gift for a relative. It was his first time interacting with this company. So, naturally, he had questions about the menu items. The man who answered the phone was rude and seemed annoyed to even speak with him. When my husband asked a question about the flavors and quantity of brownies in the sampler pack, the man answering the phone grumpily responded with "that information is all on the website." It wasn't. That's why he called. We decided to go to Cookie Society instead. But maybe we dodged a bullet? This "business" is in someone's house. I wonder if the health department knows that?

I ordered through Uber eats and was very pleased with who well wrapped the brownies were. I tried the red velvet brownie and the nutty brownie. Really good! I love brownies and I approve! I will be back.

The BEST brownies I've ever had. Also got the triple chocolate brownie, but I didn't capture a picture of it. They're all delicious, snicker brownie and regular triple chocolate brownie were my favorite.

Love brownies? Want variety and quality brownies? I didn't know how much I like brownies until I came to this place. The brownies are soft, moist, dense. and each has a unique taste. Each brownie is neatly wrapped, ziplocked, and labeled for freshness. The peach cobbler had real peaches in them! The difficult part was choosing which one to get. So I bought them all. (That is the ones available at the moment) They change flavors once in a while. I recommend ordering online since there is no store front. It's in a residential area. When you arrive to pickup your order, just text them and they'll bring it out to you in brown paper bag. It's not shady at all.

1st timer here stopping by. This is done out of home. Great packaging. Soft. Delicious. Fresh. Taste better than home. Do yourself a favor and grab a couple. Guaranteed to brighten up your day.

The first thing I want to start off by saying is what I didn't like- which is only one thing. The rest will be all good things to say haha. But what I hated was the inconsistency within the products. I came here twice (drove 40 minutes to get to this location- TWICE, because of how good they are.) But within those two times, some products were more "melted" and some where more "chilled"- I'll get more into details within the review. Snickers brownie: The first time I came here, I got the snickers brownie (I labeled it as "Snickers brownie (1)" in the pictures) and as you can see, it has a nice chocolate layer on top and looks more "put together". When I ate this, MY TOES CURLED. IT WAS THE BEST BROWNIE IVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I'm not even a big brownie person, but this brownie really changed my life haha. However, my second time coming here, I was so excited for the snickers brownie, but I felt like I got a completely different product. (I labeled as "Snickers brownie (2)" in the pictures) It didn't have that nice hard chocolate piece on top, and the caramel was super runny. To me it felt like it was left under the sun and a lot of it melted away. I tried a few of their brownies that also had that texture. Not sure if that's how it's intentionally suppose to be, hard to say with the inconsistency. My favorites for sure was the pecan pie and the snickers. Some of the others I've tried were good too, but nothing special. I love the German chocolate, however it just had that "it's been sitting under the sun and melted" texture to it as well. Also the peanut butter swirl didn't seem like it had any peanut butter to me. All were still good regardless, but would like to have the option if we want it melted or cold. Again, regardless of the consistency, still amazing brownies and I without a doubt will drive another 40 minutes to grab more of these brownies!

An absolute gem in Richardson -- we'll definitely be back!…read more La Casita Bakeshop completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming, and our server Diana made the whole experience. She was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and so pleasant to talk to -- exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good meal into a great one. The food itself was outstanding. We ordered the French Toast and the Birria Brisket Croque Madame, and both were incredible -- beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Croque Madame especially blew us away; it's the kind of dish you think about after you leave. The side hash rounded it all out perfectly. And then there are the pastries. We grabbed the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Puff and the Amaretto Cherry Basque Cheesecake Brownie from the Weekend Selections -- both were stunning, not just visually but in flavor. The cheesecake brownie topped with those cherry meringues looked almost too good to eat. Almost. Washed everything down with the Salted Honey Matcha and it was the perfect companion to the whole spread. Honestly, the hardest part was choosing -- the menu is so creative and well thought-out that we already have a list of things we want to try next time. And there will be a next time. La Casita has earned a regular customer. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food, but front-of-house operations and management are a total mess…read more My family and I finally visited La Casita Bakeshop over the weekend after seeing a lot of marketing for it. While the food itself was definitely good, the front-end operations were incredibly poor, and the service left a lot to be desired. The serving staff seemed completely untrained and lacked basic common sense, right down to knowing how to properly handle plates and utensils. To make matters worse, we encountered the shift manager, Jesus, on Sunday, May 24th. Not only was he arrogant, but he completely lacked Customer Service 101 skills. At one point, he told us the wait time would be an hour, yet there were four completely empty tables inside and servers were just standing around idle. He is clearly an inexperienced restaurant manager who does not know how to efficiently run a floor or manage a team. A major caution for potential guests ordering takeout: The staff has absolutely no clue how to properly pack food. They packed runny eggs into a standard cardboard box, which inevitably leaked right through the holes and made a massive mess everywhere (see attached picture). On top of that, for a bakery and coffee spot, they didn't even carry basic options like 2% or Lactaid milk. My humble suggestion to the owners is to invest some serious time and guidance into improving your front-of-house operations and management training. The kitchen is doing its part, but the front-end experience and sloppy packaging are dragging the whole establishment down.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!

The typical bakeries in this area (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen etc) are often chains, and focus on soft breads such as donuts and cakes, with the token boring croissant, and the Asian bakeries (also chains) offer a completely different style of breads, so to finally come across a place with innovative crisp laminated pastries is a treat! Note - they do not sell breads. I visited on a Friday morning around 8am and although there were only two people ahead of me in line, they were already out of almond croissants and I took the last sausage roll on display (but the bakers were probably baking more).
