We had a beehive under the floor of our shed, and we are about to demolish that shed as part of a backyard remodel, and the time had come to deal with the bees. We'd noticed them a few months prior but just ignored it. I knew that I would only want to use a company that offered live bee removal...we need bees! Just not so many right in my yard. I messaged another company through Yelp, and called Dave at 8:30am last Wednesday. He texted me back within 5 minutes that he would call me in about 30 minutes. He called me at 9am, and came over at 10am to survey the situation! He had a look in the shed and used his handy thermograph meter thing and figured out about how large the hive was. Gave me a quote right then on the spot, and said he could come the very next morning to do the job! HIRED!!! All that, before the other company even messaged me back. We heard a noise coming from our attic, and noticed we had a swarm of bees in one area. I immediately searched for a bee removal company since I am terrified of bees and got stung by one in the past. I came across this company and decided to give them a try. Dave came to our house on time, prepared with all his equipment, and eager to help with the issue. I had a few questions prior to the start. Dave set my mind at ease, was patient with all the questions I had. Dave told me the bees get inside the attic and build on the underside of the plywood for the roof. He got on the roof, pulled up a section of the roof tiles, made a cut, pulled up the section of plywood he cut which will have the beehive attached to it. All this was done live which was cool to see from a distance. After he removes all the beehive, he repairs the roof. He guaranteed the roof wouldn't leak, which it hasn't. I was referred to Dave by Joshua's Pest control because they do not offer bee removal service. My wife noticed some bees going in and out of weep holes under our second story eaves. I called Dave in the morning and he came out that same afternoon. He arrived on time and discussed the situation for almost 30 minutes, was not concerned about the apparent "scouting activity" and recommended a wait and see approach. 3 days later, activity remained the same and Dave returned that afternoon to treat the problem which included chasing the bees out, applying 1/8 inch cloth over the weep holes and surrounding weep holes in the area. He also applied caulk to small gaps in the eaves. Dave is very experienced, reliable and does clean, high quality work. I can spot shady types very quickly and unfortunately that's about 75% of the home repair/construction contractors I've had to my house. Dave could have easily upsold the job and ripped out my drywall to remove the combs because that was what I thought needed to be done before he even got here. Soon after I wrote my review we were contacted by Dave. He explained the reason he didn't contact us was that he was no longer operating in Las Vegas, and was trying to find a replacement company who would honour the contract for us.
