Lady that answered the phone late at night was very rude. Cancelled my order when I was trying to come pick it up. Very upset because I ordered 1.5 hours before closing time. Whoever worked that phone refused to take my order after I tried to come pick it up when I was outside of delivery zone. Maybe it's because it was 12:30am and not much else was open, but it was exactly what we needed. Bread was doughy, sausage was good, but it was the cheese that made it! Great place to hit up on your way back to the hotel. It does take a hot minute and the front desk staff weren't exactly friendly, but it was late and a bit busy. Take me back to college days when 4AM food delivery services were few and far between, but regularly on high demand. Ahhhhhhhh... D.P. Dough. I recently had a crazy long day and I didn't get home and settled in until late. By the time I looked at the clock it was 12:45 in the morning and I was starving. Unfortunately, my fridge was empty and the cabinet options were lackluster. Given how late it was D.P. Dough was the first place I thought of. Sure, it's not very healthy and the quality is mediocre, but it always does the trick. It arrived in under 30 minutes and it was piping hot. The only bummer was they forgot my extra dipping sauce. Nothing to fret over though. They only have two vegetarian options on the menu. However, you're welcome to build your own calzone. They have a good number of veggies to choose from, tons of cheese of course, and a variety of sauces. On this last order I got the Spinner Zone. Pretty much just a bunch of cheese and spinach. This is the only DP Dough location I've ever visited. And I don't think they've ever really disappointed me. Calzones are always consistently tasty. And HUGE. I mean typically I'd probably only eat one half unless I'm pretty buzzed. I love their bbq chicken calzone. It's typically my go to. For this most recent visit however I tried the chicken and bacon calzone and it was still so good. I usually get delivery so I don't worry about a wait. I have gone in on a late night/early morning though when they were have had quite the wait. But this is expected. The staff seems pretty calm and professional. I tried D.P. Dough last night for the first time and it was perfect late night food! It was one of the only places still open on DoorDash and my food arrived quickly. I ordered the Mac Daddy which is a calzone stuffed with mac and cheese, pulled pork, and BBQ sauce. It was super tasty! I loved the sweet BBQ sauce and thought the calzone dough was the highlight. D.P. Dough has come to Columbus. I used to love this shit. They're most common in smaller college towns. It's not far from the OSU campus. They deliver real late too. I like calzones so D.P. Dough is the shit. It seriously has over 50 kinds. There's meat and vegetable varieties. It ranges from the sloppy meaty ones covered in thick sauces to more healthier vegetarian options. The calzones are about $5 to $7. It's best ones all seem to be with the pizza sauce. There's also the build your own option where you can choose a few toppings. I mean, it's drunk food at its finest. You go hear after a long day/night out having drinks. They typically have good deals, but the food itself is subpar, but just like anything when you're drunk, it's fantastic. Cheesy goodness with your favorite toppings all rolled into a pocket of dough. For as busy as they are at 2am on the weekends, service is relatively quick. Delivery isn't too shabby. However, after a number of times having their delivery team run at least a half hour late, sometimes well over an hour, I had to take the hint and just stop trying with them. Recently, though, I gave them another chance. I ordered delivery knowing that I had no plans for the night, and I was delighted to get it only 20 minutes late, and, of course, the food was phenomenal. So the following week, I ordered again, this time for pickup. I walked in at 7:15 for a 7:08 pickup. I gave my name and he said it would be 2 minutes longer. Then, he started calling me another person's name. He had assumed I had said a completely different name. Turns out that they did not make the order because the computer did not print a ticket. I received my order 25 minutes after the pickup, making the pickup experience as unreliable as the delivery experience. Dp dough was a good choice for some late night grub. My girlfriend and I visited and tried a few items to see what flavors were being talked about. We started with the traditional calzone, the dough was fresh and tasty and the ingredients were cooked through. We also got a small order of their buffalo wings which had a good spice, simple Frank's red hot flavor and tons of sauce over them. Then got their cheesy tater tots, they satisfy the craving but nothing too exciting. The calzone is definitely the highlight as to why we came in the first place. We sat inside at one of the high tops facing the street, the order took a bit longer than expected so that was annoying. I love this from my days at OU. As a vegetarian, I love that I can customize to my heart's delight. My S.O. and I waited impatiently for this place to open. It's big, it's filling. Ask for extra dipping sauce. The calzone crust is crispy and light as compared to a more doughy typical pizza. Came here after the bar for some late night grub. My group ordered at 105am. At 125am we asked why the order was taking so long, as it seemed people who ordered after us had gotten food. By 140am, our food still hadn't come out. I understand that people had placed orders by phone, and were just picking up, but 35 minutes seemed like a long time to wait for basic food like calzones and tater tots. We finally asked to speak to a manager, who was unhelpful and only asked if we wanted a refund. After 40 minutes of waiting we wanted our food! We finally got served around 150-155am. The food wasn't great either. Disappointing. As I'm not a local, it's not really a huge deal since the probability I'll come back is zero. Just a warning for others. This is a pretty good place. Delivery is fast, reliable and courteous. You might not wanna pick it up because parking around there is a problem. I hope the delivery drivers have their own space to park. That would be a nightmare. You can create your own calzone with up to five ingredients. That's what I recommend. The sauce cup on the side is a generous three ounce cup, perfect for dipping in marinara sauce or ranch dressing. The crust comes out nice and golden brown perfect every time. It's great for ordering after the bars are closed and you're too drunk or high to walk anywhere. Just remember to stay awake long enough to answer the door when the delivery guy comes! read more

It was great back in 2011/2012 but it's 2019 and there's no excuse for the shitty service you get nowadays. Every time I order online it doesn't get in the oven until you go in the store and ask where the order is 30 minutes later. You want food quick, and you want it to be what you ordered? Then order from literally anywhere else in Columbus. I recommend Pharoah's or Adriatico's myself. But as someone who's spent much of their college career ordering delivery from many different restaurants, I can tell you that DP Dough is a uniquely poor member of the OSU Campus restaurant community. Utterly average. It's not quite two stars because it manages basic competence, but it's not quite three stars either. Reading the comments elsewhere, the delivery from here appears to be somewhat lacking in both timeliness and good service. The service inside picking up is fine: it's clearly a campus place that sees a ton of people and focuses on volume. How are the actual calzones? Pretty meh. Calzone has a low quality threshold. If none of the ingredients are bad in some way and it meets the low technical bar necessary to be a calzone and not just a piece of pizza, it's fine. That's D.P. Dough for you. None of the ingredients really pop, it's a little light on sauce (and flavor), and the cheese isn't particularly strong or flavorful (though at least's not too sparse). But it's not bad either, and for one of those evenings where I either want to focus on work to the exclusion of all else OR focus on video games to the exclusion of all else, there's something satisfying even about a "meh" calzone. It does deliver ice cream, and while I like to think I'm organized enough to keep ice cream in the house and not be so desperate as to pay a delivery fee for it...it's still nice to think Ben & Jerry's could arrive at my door like that. read more

My driver was mad from the start because he was at the wrong address, while on the phone trying to direct him he was giving me attitude and being very rude. When he got there he gave me a little kid attitude and didn't say a word or say welcome when I said thank you. Proceeded to cuss at me lol. I was kinda skeptical by looking at the place but after walking in I was welcomed by the most bubbly host/cashier. There wasn't any seating but the staff was so warm and welcoming. They assisted me with the menu and choosing the right calzone and IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! So great staff and great food great combination.
