We tried the North Shore, Whole Hog (on a bed of tots), and the bacon egg and cheese! We also got 2 side orders of tots. I loved all the food, every bite I took was delish! There tots were hot and crispy and well seasoned also. For the coffee I went with the signature "The Crave", which was so delightful. I got it with oat milk and it was smooth and delish as well! The inside of the place is just a cute hip vibe. It's a smaller cafe with some seating along one of the wall of window, and then they have some tables. Right when we arrived, every table was packed, but by the time our food arrived, tables opened up, which was nice. It seemed that most people would turnover the table quickly to allow for others to sit. The staff were super friendly and patient, and all around great place to have breakfast in Salem!

Parking- didn't see a dedicated lot, looks like street parking only. We found a spot down the street, walkable distance. Looks like we made the right choice, because the place was poppin. Lots of folks coming in & out. We were lucky enough to snag a table for the group while some of the group stayed in line. I noted several groups of ladies with cute witchy style outfits very fitting for Salem, that could def be OOTD worthy on IG. Service- seemed fine. My friends ordered for me at the counter while I held down our table, so I can't speak to the ordering interaction. They were speaking names out very low for pick up at the counter, I remember that. Food- I got the North Shore sammy - which comes with maple bacon, over medium egg, chedder cheese, maple aoili on a croissant. The egg was runny just what I like, and it was yummy and bigger than I imagined. Very filling. I could have just split one with my friends, but everyone got there own. So I left more full than I wanted, because I didn't want to take away. Drink- I got a latte, that was fine, nothing to write home about. If visiting this charming town try it out. I saw mostly tourist, so don't think it's a locals hang out. But it's not a trap luckily, lol.

We were craving all of that, and last night's dinner at the Franklin did not disappoint. We were seated in a cozy booth, and immediately water was brought to the table, along with their fresh bread and their fabulous hummus dip. Yum!!! Our waitress Colleen, is quite possibly my favorite person ever! She is so incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu, specials, and drinks... that I let her pick out our wine, and my entree. I told her what I was craving, and she chose perfectly. The wine was so good we ordered a bottle, the octopus appetizer was cooked perfectly, with a nice grilled flavor. My husband got the incredibly fresh off the boat seared pepper crusted tuna special. I was torn, and wanted the meat to his surf, so I got the braised beef, and oh my goodness... we couldn't decide which was better, the surf or the turf.... Sadly, we left no room for dessert, and that was a shame as their desserts are fabulous and made in the restaurant. Another thing we love is that they have a 2nd floor for busier nights, and bigger parties, along with a cozy bar on both floors to grab a drink, or meal if no table is available. I highly recommend the Franklin if you are looking to impress a date, or have a special dinner party, or just want to have a casual dinner, you will not be disappointed, but try to save room for dessert.

Our server was Ross and he was so fun and memorable. His recs were spot on - starting with the wine. For our appetizers, we had the oysters and the whipped ricotta. They were incredible!! The service was incredibly friendly but there may have been some miscommunication because we got the opening welcome spiel from multiple servers - but that's okay! We got to hear multiple differing opinions on the menu. I ended up getting the oysters, chicken, and the potatoes, and honestly I'm conflicted. The oysters were great, well-dressed, clean, and delicious. The potatoes were absolutely fantastic. The chicken however... saying it was magical isn't exactly right but I have never had such a perfectly cooked chicken in my life. I did not know you could get such a crispy skin with such clear grill lines while keeping the white meat so utterly moist and delicious. I'm still not entirely convinced that witchcraft wasn't involved and given its Salem, have to assume that's what happened. Us normal people will never be able to make anything to that level of perfection. Definitely looking to go back.

Our stools were below the hand carved wooden pig-The Farm's logo and I could see the cake of dust on its derrière! The light fixtures/fans above us were also in need of cleaning. Despite this, the food was good as well as the margarita. We started with the Buffalo tenders which were a tad over fried and I wish it came with celery and carrot sticks. The bleu cheese dressing it came with was very good with hearty chunks of bleu cheese. Then my husband had the steak tips with mashed potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables (summer squash, zucchini, Bermuda onion). He thought he tasted the butane from the grill on the tips. I had the baked fish tacos and was happy there were three and each taco was filled. Overall, we had a nice evening at The Farm.
