I don't think you can EVER go wrong with Cherry Farms Creamery. It's iconic to the north shore. Great parking, right next to the golf course/ range and a cute ice cream stand. They have 30+ flavors and specials that rotate. I've never had one bad flavor and they load them up great. My attendant tonight was super kind and patient. I had my two littles practice ordering for themselves (there was no line) and our server was kind and great. Made it a special moment. It has outside tables to sit and eat and I love how it's all clean. Love it here! read more

I absolutely loved the vegan ice cream here because it didn't taste like vegan ice cream. I'm lactose intolerant so when I want ice cream there needs to be a vegan or dairy free option. Most of the time it's not the best tasting, but their vegan ice cream tasted like regular ice cream. I got the single scoop, vegan peanut butter chocolate cookie and they loaded it with cookie. Meh. Got coconut almond chip with hot fudge and there was way too much hot fudge, half the ice cream melted. The coconut flavor wasn't very strong, certainly not strong enough to hold up to all that hot fudge. My partner got a hit fudge sundae too and liked it. But, they've had cherry farm ice cream before and said it was better back then. read more

Was craving ice cream on the way to Boston & was able to get my fix before it closed. Just for kicks, sampled the grape nut which was interesting. It tasted like soggy grape nuts so at least you don't chip a tooth; you either love it or hate it. I decided to stick to my faves, chocolate peanut butter & pistachio. The pistachio flavoring was off, a bit too pistachio-y, if that's even possible. But the chocolate peanut butter hit the spot. Hubby got the milk & cookies & that was yummy too. My husband and I were in the area for business and stopped here for dessert on our first night. Even when it's slightly chilly, there was a crowd here! I can see why too. They have multiple windows for you to order at, so the line can move quicker. My husband got a squealer with vanilla soft serve and reese's pieces mixed it. It was almost like a Mcflurry. He also got a baby scoop of cookies and cream. I went with a vanilla chocolate soft serve twist in a cup as well as a baby scoop of the m&m ice cream. We asked for lids, and even with the lids, they were very large portion sizes. The soft serve was exactly what I needed to feed my soft serve obsession. The squealer was delicious and had a good amount of Reese pieces in it. I ate the baby scoop of m&m ice cream for dessert 2 nights, it was that large even though it was just a baby scoop. If I'm ever back in the area, I will most definitely be back. My husband was working in one of the offices close by and even walked there for lunch one day! read more

This is a very good traditional New England ice cream stand with homemade flavors of hard ice cream, soft serve, yogurt, and all of the usual variations. The portion sizes are generous, service is friendly (all outdoor), and the location is very convenient as it is right off of the exit to/from Rt. 128 South. We enjoyed chocolate peanut butter, which has an excellent peanut butter ribbon, chocolate brownie cookie dough (a special) and peppermint bark (a special). Too bad I didn't take a photo. This is the best ice cream shop in the Danvers/Beverly/wenham/Salem/Peabody area. Their portions are huge and the ice cream is made in-house. It's Ben&Jerry's quality at a lesser price. Their counter service is great. The girls (and it's almost always only girls) are great. They're super-friendly and extremely kind. I also love that they sell large tubs of ice cream for parties. Oh man, it really doesn't get much better than this people! I grew up in the area of cherry hill and have a ton of great memories being there. I always asked for my birthday cakes to be cherry hill ice cream cakes, and whenever I'm home for the holidays we still get them. The kids working there are always nice, and the gardening and landscaping makes it a perfect place to just sit outside and enjoy the ice cream. Bonus if you like to golf too, the green there looks pretty nice. It is a staple of the community for sure! read more

First visit today. The service was quick and friendly, portions large, delicious and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the semi bucolic setting, the flowers and flowering bushes. We stopped here on the way back from Halibut Point State Park, had great reviews, and it has some great candy mix-in specials, but overall was just ok (and I forgot to take pics of the ice cream ‍). Sadly, a lot of the roadstop style ice cream stands offer the same flavors with the same generic taste. All the flavors I tried here tasted mainly of the plain sweet cream base, like as if the flavor they are supposed to be is an after thought. On the plus side the servings are big and they appear to have some yummy soft serve options with swirled in candy, but didn't try those. I got Salted Caramel Brownie, and the brownie chunks were delicious and plentiful, but the salted caramel ice cream itself was just meh. It didn't have that deep burnt bitter touch. It's cold, it's creamy, it's sweet. That's good, but it's not all I'm looking for. out of five cones (mainly for the brownies!). Best paired with a chocolate covered cone and Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down. I also got Coffee Oreo and that was worse, the huge Oreo chunks were the only highlight. The creaminess is thick, it leaves a coating in your mouth which might be nice if the taste was more complex than sweet milk. out of five cones. I recently started working in the area so I had to try this walk-up creamery. They have an extensive flavor selection and decently fair prices. I had a scoop of ginger and a scoop of frozen pudding and enjoyed both of them immensely. The total was $4.60. I'm looking forward to returning to try the soft serve! read more

I used to love going here...the young people working are kind and friendly. However, recently I had peanut flavored ice cream of some kind accidentally added to my take out quarts. Two separate times. This is unacceptable and dangerous and when I reached out about it, I was told they likely dropped some in the ice cream I had chosen and they would be reminded to be more careful. It doesn't feel like it was taken seriously, nor was i offered a refund for the two quarts that were tainted with something I didn't order and something I'm allergic to. Not impressed. read more

It may be February 4th but who doesn't want ice cream. Especially ice cream for breakfast. We actually went later in the day but the flavors were still available. Banana chip is some of the best banana we have ever had, coffee & donuts literally equal perfection and the cinnamon bun didn't disappoint. We will be back to try the regular offerings. Lots of people getting milkshakes and had ordered ice cream. Can't vouch for those items but did see many people getting them. read more

They are an institution and probably the best on the north shore. Love the ginger, grape nut and m&m icecream. Now that they have "VEGAN" icecream, that resembles icecream, nothing further to say. Just go, they are open year round, and its probably cheaper to order a pint or quart to go, once you find the flavors you like. Very generous with the portion sizes, so make sure to tip well. Highly recommended, for quality of icecream, flavors, variety, free samples, and great experiences at all visits. read more

We LOVE Cherry Farm! They have soooo many flavors to choose from it is out of control. Favorites of ours include pistachio and coffee Oreo, but you really can't go wrong! I'm just going to clearly state that Cherry Farm is no where near as good as Richardsons. If you have the time, drive to Richardsons. The Grape Nut was meh - only a few pieces of grape nut scattered through out a rubbery tasting ice cream. The frozen pudding was not good at all and overpowered by maraschino cherries. I finally settled on the Cookies n' Cream ice cream, which was edible, but mostly because I had it covered in jimmies. Would not go back, not with the other local options being superior. read more

Cherry farm, you are the real deal. Craving an ice cream fix and DAMN cherry farm hit the spot. This place has the whole "new normal" thing down to a science. X's clearly marked so you know where to stand. Friendly staff directing the lines and friendly staff doing the scoopin. Tons of homemade flavors and great location right off of 128. As a prior ice cream scooper myself (hello 16 year old me), there was one thing my man and I were both a little shocked about.... The tip jars, clear and bland. WHAT?! There are signs on the windows that ask to use a credit cards instead of cash which is totally understandable with everything going on. HOWEVER you can't tip on the credit card. Label those clear little things in glitter so people see em! During these times tipping shouldn't be optional, I know people may think differently but we saw multiple people in front of us not dropping anything which was kinda shocking to me ESPECIALLY during these times. GEESH. Thank you to all the staff who are getting up and WORKING to provide all us hungry people with their ice cream fix. Tip em. Bravo! read more

We recently discovered this place and I truly love it. I'm not sure if it's the farm feel or the fact that it has some pretty nice golf course and you can see deers. I supplemented with a gallon of their hearty vegetable soup, and their little desserts. The veggie soup was just too healthy to be popular with this crowd, so that was a bad choice on my part. I explained to the young man that there was a problem there and he shrugged his shoulders and continued to sell the pastries to customers. The men who work in the deli are just outright rude. I asked a man to make me sandwich and he rolled his eyes slamming the food like I asked him to donate a kidney. I spoke with the manager and he said "Yeah, we have a high turnover. Sorry" The store is old and gross.
