I wasn't even sure if I had a case and so I consulted and they've been nothing but understanding, very communicating and patient with my knowledge. Cases take a long time to work through and considering they do it for free before taking action I've been grateful. If you're super anxious to file a suit then look elsewhere and pay the money for it, otherwise expect the long wait. It still worth seeking out their services just so you can gauge whether you have a case or not. They are quality lawyers, truthful, and willing to help you out. My wife and I "hired" this firm... after initial contact they would call And text daily or more...When we approached them they informed us that they would give us an answer within thirty days whether they would handle our case. They never communicated with us and when I asked for an update I received the same email each time. Six months later after I told them I am reporting them to the California Bar Association they let me know they would not be taking my case (mentioning it has no bearing if we have a case or not, only a business decision) and recommended another law firm. I would not recommend this firm. I reached out to them hoping to get help but I only received a very long process that went no where. I first reached out thinking they were capable of taking action. After a very detailed interviewed with a follow up interview I was told to wait while the case was evaluated. After almost 5 months and me trying several times to get updates I was turned away saying they were unable to take my case. Now since so much time has passed it would be very difficult for me to get a new attorney in time. I did everything the whole 9 yards I gave them my paystubs etc. I filed the Lawsuit last year in June. Black people! I just called on my birthday and they sent me my employee record and dropped my case after letting me wait with no contact at all for 3 months for a discrimination case. No lawyer ever called me. Guess we are not important to them. I was getting sent racist Teams Messages from my Supervisor and Team at work. I never got any call or email back from these lousy people. That being said, my experience was confusing. I reached out to them since June. They did not have the decency to let me know that they were not taking the case by calling or emailing. They must have been working with the company or collected money behind my back by railroading me. My experience was an incredible waste of my time with their documents department who never called back. I never received any response from any Lawyer. Hi. So I have some advice from anyone who looks up this firm. This is the way they conduct their particular business. Every owner has the right to do business the way they see fit. And a customer has the right to move on to find a firm that may take their case with more of a responsive way of doing business. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to make a decision; like others who wrote on this platform. In the meantime, to do my own due diligence, I have been researching firms who specialize in the aspects of my case I know are good. Since there is no attorney/client relationship established with D Law until we BOTH decide to establish it, I am free to have another firm in my back pocket that has a more personal way of working with those who call in with new potential cases. The folks that said they "hired" the this firm but then waiting to see if they would take the case, is not correct. There was no hiring until they decide they want the case and you decide they will be the right fit for you. No firm will take a case that the statue of limitations is up. Period. Many people posting haven't a clue about how the law works and therefore should not be leaving a review. I realize when one reaches out to an attorney, we are more vulnerable than at other points of our life. But for heavens sake, take care of yourself and look at what your case is about and find other firms who specialize in it. If more time goes by than D. Law said to you, go elsewhere. Quickly. They want to make sure they won't be working their butts off on a case that cannot be won. Can't fault them for that. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH HOW THEY TREATED ME!! And the "it is a business decision" refrain is a horrible excuse to string a potential client along for literally months (March 11 to July 8) and then abruptly drop them without a REAL explanation. With all the other 1 star comments on here coupled with the 5 star reviews that are all benign in nature lacking any details about successful litigation against former employees, my intuition tells me there is something nefarious about D. Law. And the canned responses to all the 1 star reviews only adds to that feeling. My gut tells me those 5 star reviews are fake, written only to balance out the 1 star reviews. It makes no sense to drop someone's case after 4 months of stringing them on except they are doing something dirty and underhanded and ILLEGAL. Perhaps they use the information provided by clients to solicit monies from employers??? Not sure, but this is the most unscrupulous interactive I've ever had with a law firm. This law firm is either incredibly slow, uncaring, or both! I filed a case with them against my former employer more than six months ago. I have reached out to them consistently and constantly to get updates, but they keep offering me this generic response: "We appreciate you reaching out for an update. Please note that our attorneys are in the process of reviewing your file in order to assess all potential claims against the company. We appreciate your patience. Our office will advise you of updates as they become available." They even tell me this over the phone. They will not offer me any specifics, except for them to tell me that they are working to see if there are any other complaints against my former company. I don't see why the hell it would take six months to determine if there are any other complaints! I am tempted to go with another law firm. UPDATE ON MY REVIEW: I received an email from them this morning (5/7), and was told they are unable to take my case, saying it was "strictly a business decision", whatever the fuck that means! I called to see if I can get a reason, and the girl I talked to acted like she was giving me a scripted answer. I waited for seven months for them to review my case, only to be turned down. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND WASTE OF TIME!! I can't help but wonder if my former employer bribed them with a shit ton of money to drop the case against them. The advertisement for this law firm is misleading and very disappointing. I feel very slighted as I shared some very heavy and confidential information with this company, to whom I believe, shared my information with the employer in which I had the complaint. I had contacted this law firm after seeing a Facebook ad. Their intake person was very thorough and polite, and I was happy to provide answers to all his questions. He then told me that they will need a bunch of things from me, which I was happy to provide, and did so the very next day by replying to their email request. A day later I get a text message reminding me to provide the info. I replied to the text that I already did. 2 days later I got another reminder, which I also replied to. I forwarded my initial email to them 2 or 3 times, and then finally replied to another of their emails letting them know that I am no longer interested in working with them. The reason for the 2 stars is because they (IMHOP) totally dropped the ball after intake. I have officially released Davtyan Law from representing me in my claim against my previous employer. They did nothing more than waste two months by not knowing how to request the simplest of supportive documentation to support my case. Time after time I specifically informed them on what was needed and they ignored my suggestions and sent two requests that had nothing to do with what was needed. The employer sent information that was completely wrong, because Davtyan was not clear in their requests. I had to call and ask what was the status and each time, they didn't have an answer because nothing had been completed. Do not waste your time and absolutely do not allow them to act on your behalf. I thought i made it clear in my review but i guess i have to reiterate it again: I did NOT in ANY way shape or form EVER solicit a phone call from your company or contact your company in ANY way whatsoever until your company started contacting ME with unsolicited calls and texts. In fact, i had never even heard of your company before this incident. The operator I talked to even told me the only info your company had about me was my phone number (therefore no records of me soliciting a phone call or contacting you).
