I got a referral for my mom's case from Brown Neri Smith & Khan, LLP (BNSK Law Firm, handling Dr Pachida Lo vs Kaiser Permanente) and Outten and Golden Honorable Jenny R Yang (former EEOC Chair under President Obama, and Department of Labor Director under President Biden). Thank y'all so much for even listening and hearing us out! Had gotten heard out by other employment law firms for her case, and they admitted they didn't have the resources or the expertise (Blackstone has TBI review, which is huge value and very valuable for a law firm to have, which means they get value/compensation/payout for plaintiffs and clients)! They legit have a neurologist on retainer i suspect for complicated work injury and personal injury cases too). Huge for us as my mom and I have Moyamoya Disease (RNF213 gene East Asian Variant, neurovascular disease causing strokes, mini-strokes, and TIAs) and Binocular Vision Dysfunction (that heavily affects Koreans/Korean Americans)! I wish the value check came off for this review...dang it. I'll never get yelp elite at this rate... Shoutout to Daniel Perdomo, intake interview specialist! He made my mom feel at ease and guided her over two hours of making sure all details and timeline were properly noted! Amazing intake process! I've had my share of legal and navigating via employment law, personal injury, lemon law, etc. and this time I had to help my mom with her filing and advocating (I don't think you understand how hard that is as a son of immigrants...if you thought helping your parents learn to google or print things, then you have no idea how hard to guide someone to make a timeline and claims and such). So thankfully Daniel Perdomo had her relax during this very intense process (even got her to laugh and relax further). read more

These guys are not a thing. They want you to do all of the work for them. They want you to send them all of your sensitive information without having the courtesy of meeting you face to face first. The first guy who called me was talking so fast it felt like I was at a fast food drive-thru. Then another gentleman called me and he said after my severe allegations against my former employer, "Bosses can suck sometimes and the law is not really in your favor." Total complicity to the system. His professional legal advice I HEARD was "Sucks to be you you're just going to have to put up with it." Yeah, that's a real good message. Pretty obvious how things run in their office. If they even have an office AND NOT A PHONY WEB PAGE. For all I know they could be sitting in their pajamas and then show up to court in a wrinkled suit and not say much of anything just to throw the whole fight. They don't do investigating, they don't ask people questions, they don't put in the work to get to the heart of the problem. And they advertise on YouTube. That should have been my first red flag... Along with Facebook Instagram and all the rest. If you hand over all of your information to them you're the sucker. It's an online it's an industry clearing house bordering on a being a scam. That was my personal experience AND MY OPINION. Take it for what you will. read more

The free consultation is not consultation at all. It is a free intake. you won't even know the rate before spending that one hour on intake. they ask PII information not relevant to evaluating the case. I refused to provide them and it turned out they could proceed and they were only optional. some of the suspicious yelp reviews here are talking about how intake person listened to them with no mention of actual consultation done or not with 5 stars! so far many red flags. i will update this review if thing change for a more meaningful direction an actual "free consultation". read more

I made an appointment for a consultation with Pamela after speaking to her directly a few days prior. On the scheduled day of our consultation, she didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to 1) call me as scheduled or 2) reschedule or inform me of her inability to uphold the appointment. I wasted my time waiting for her call and the time spent prepping for the consultation. Inappropriate and unacceptable behavior for a professional. Grossly disappointing. 0/10. read more

My intake specialist Adrian was the best and spent almost 2 hours for my intake. He handled everything with a high level of professionalism. I spent over a week compiling all the details and documents requested and sent it to them on a tuesday and by next morning got a call from Adrian that the firm is not taking my case due to me still working for my employer. Even with years of harrassment, retaliation and abuse documented they said they cant take the case. The thing is I told them that I was still employed with them from the beginning and they are trying everything to get me fired and still they didn't think it was a strong case. With california civil rights actively investigating with supeonas and records requests blackstone thought no we dont want it. They could've just told me that they don't take cases if you weren't fired. Adrian you are the best and I thank you for your effort in helping me but blackstone in my opinion didn't step up to help at all taking just less than a day to review over 3 years of documented harrassment, retaliation and discrimination records. For all who read this review please make sure that your time is not wasted like mine. read more

I had a great experience with Blackstone Law. Violeta handled the intake process professionally and genuinely. I was actually referred to Blackstone Law & I am glad that I was. read more

I would do zero stars if I could. Had to reach out to them for update just to get an answer. I wouldn't recommend at all. Better off with more seasoned profession elsewhere. read more

I wouldn't recommend these people to my worse enemy. I wasted my time discussing my situation, sending documents and having to relive the traumatic hostile events that occurred at my workplace only to be given misinformation. 1st they told me that I'd consult with a lawyer to then they said they wouldn't help me until I was fired. Dont waste your time with these people. Horrible misleading and disappointing experience. read more

Blackstone law has been seeing me through a difficulty I had with a prior employer. There's no telling if the case is strong enough yes, but what I will say is this- they haven't made a dime off me and they continue to check in, and see how things are going. Particularly Mia Martin, who is an intake specialist for them. She has done a tremendous job of following up and answering question where and when relevant. read more

A fledgling group of amateurs. The support staff is a reflection of that. If you're looking for a seasoned professional, go elsewhere!

Contacted me on a case in inquired about, but basically all they accept is slam dunk cases, where its just a case of how much the settlement will be not who was at fault, will not accept any cases they need to fight for. If they are not willing to litigate a case, its because they don't have the knowledge and or the experience, but yet they advertise they do. I would not recommend them. Dont waste your time!!!! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I repeat do not waste your time with this firm. My experience is almost identical to many of other negative reviews for this firm on this platform. They will waste weeks of your precious ticking time ( lawsuits have sensitive timeframe). I spent so much time sending over document after document. Going over details numerous time at length only for them to not even have the decency to give me a reason as to why they would not pursue my case. It is a solid and strong case - they need to be more respect about wasting precious potential clients time. A general more respectful and kinder attitude from the staff wouldn't hurt either. I asked for some additional help/guidance from them in an effort to seek other firms and was coldly ignored even after I followed up. Please do yourself a favor go elsewhere especially if your case has to be filed within a certain amount of time. It will only be a disservice to your case. Terrible practice! read more

UPDATED REVIEW: The situation was addressed by management. I would actually remove my entire review but Yelp would not let me remove the review. Management called me to explain why the situation and lack of communication occurred. Additionally, management assured me that this has been addressed with his staff. if I have any future issues, I will use this law firm again if necessary. Blackstone Law firm has other positive reviews and they handled this situation well. I will keep them in mind for future issues, if I have any. Hopefully, that will not be necessary. Thank you!! I truly can't thank Blackstone enough for all they did to help me and hundreds of other employees in a class-action suit. I was so defeated after tireless efforts to hold the organization we worked for accountable for the wildly distasteful and definitely illegal behavior during and even following the pandemic. The Blackstone employees spoke to me with compassion and a strong sense of justice. They put in tons of work and were able to settle this massive case that, I believe, contributed in emboldening the remaining staff at the org to request the resignation of the president the org directly to the board at an all-staff meeting. TBD whether or not that'll actually happen, but it was a HUGE step for them! Thank you so much to Karen, Marissa, and all others that contributed to our case read more

Everything I've experienced so far is like a light showing up at the end of a tunnel. I felt heard, and the intake lady was so patient with me. In these situations, we need professional, well organized and someone who listens and evaluates your case throughly not just say no right away and shut you down immediately after. No matter what, you made me feel heard. read more

Ok it's early, but I have to give credit where it's due. I sent in a request for a case consultation, received a response to set an appointment and exactly on the scheduled date I received a call. This was overnight. Steven Perez is my Intake Specialist who is professional, thorough and courteous. I have completed the same steps with other attorney offices and have yet to receive an initial response. California is a litigious state and I'm sure attorneys are swamped, however customer service and communication is important. If you can't help, say so. So far I'm off to a great start with Blackstone Law. read more

This was my first time taking legal action. I was very nervous. I cannot say enough about my experience with Blackstone Law. The entire "team" was friendly, kind, understanding, and attentive from my first phone call. Jonathan Genish was so professional. He helped me feel confident with my decision regarding the lawsuit. He explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand. He treated me like a family member. Matt Dietz continued to keep me updated; he was very responsive when I emailed or called (mostly from anxiety), and he never rushed our phone calls. Mona was amazing. She always checked up on me, she called after all my doctor appointments, and she was caring and sympathetic to what I was dealing with. I felt 100% supported. I want to state that my review does not represent the personal attitude of the staff but the mis-communication and lack of communication with this firm. I was in a car accident on Mother's Day 2018 and my case is just NOW being settled. 17 months later. In between this time, my case was handed over to several different people in the firm, on one occasion I called and that person wasn't with the firm anymore. That happened twice except second time they notified me. There were several times I wouldn't hear ANYTHING on my case for months. I was never kept up to date unless I inquired about it 80% of the time. Not to mention the outcome of my settlement was nothing compared to what I was hoping for after losing my new vehicle and this accident effecting my children, my family and my JOB. It was a huge disappointment all together because I really trusted and confided in this Firm and I was let down immensely. Everyone was respectful and polite but just be careful not to fall for the enthusiasm in their voices when discussing your case. At the end of the day they are a business and just want your business. read more
