I retained this firm in June of 2023. My case was in default by March 2024. After two failed attempted to get the packet approved from March to January or 2025, they let the default judgment packet sit idle for 18 months. In June of 2025 defendant's business closed at which time, I requested they request an expedited hearing to get the packet approved. The request was ignored. Instead, they filed continuances without telling me. I was physically sick when I realized the packet they finally submitted after 18 months is substantively identical to the previous packet. Throughout this process, I repeatedly reached out for updates. I often have had to reach out multiple times to get a response and many of the responses I received were confusing, incomplete, or contradicted earlier explanations and the court records. I often felt like I wasn't being given the full picture of what was happening with my case. When I asked for basic case information--billing records, a timeline, an explanation of delays--I was told by Tara Hattendorf my requests were "not reasonable or practicable." When I asked about malpractice insurance, Tara told me I was creating a conflict of interest. I'm sharing my experience because I don't want anyone else to go through the stress, confusion, and emotional toll that I am. I filed a complaint with the State Bar so they can review what happened. I trusted this firm, and I regret that trust. I hope my experience helps someone else make an informed decision.

My nightmare started on March 21, 2019 when a distracted driver rear ended me. This was a chain reaction car crash and I was in the middle. Then when calling the guy's insurance who rear ended me it was extremely frustrating. They told me that the person who hit me got an attorney and I needed to wait. Several days passed and nothing no phone calls. So, I called them again and they told me that the case manager went on vacation and to call her in a week. At that point I was Extremely frustrated and upset because I needed a rental car and needed to get treatment. I didn't know what to do anymore because I was just fed up with the insurance company. I couldn't concentrate in school anymore because I was just worrying about this issue. Then I decided to get an attorney for the first time in my life. I was a little unsure at first because I didn't know where to start looking for one or which was the right one. I am so glad I picked Blackstone Law to represent me and help me out. I would like to share my personal experience with Jonathan Genish. If you're in need of an attorney then you have life circumstances that come with high anxiety, fear and uncertainty. That's exactly where I was when I met Jonathan. I actually had appointments set up with 3 highly recommend attorneys to interview to see who was the best fit for me, but after an hour and a half with Jon, I cancelled all of them and retained him. He had the knowledge, personality and confidence I needed to feel secure. My specific circumstance involved a family business, wrongful termination and ownership interest so my level of anxiety was off the charts! I was in an auto accident with my wife when another driver pulled out in front of us trying to make a hurried left turn into McDonald's. We were doing 42 MPH when he suddenly turned in front of us and we hit him broadside. Totaled our new car and left us in damaged physical shape. I hired Blackstone Law about 2 weeks later after trying to deal with the insurance company Held by the driver who caused the accident. They were trying to leave us with part of the Hospital Emergency visit and even got upset on the phone with me when I suggested that they simply state in the release form that they would pay the entire bill regardless of the amount. Hiring Blackstone and getting Diana Tejeda as our case manager couldn't have been any better. After dealing (or trying to deal) with the attorneys in our home town of Bakersfield where NO ATTORNEY ACTUALLY ANSWERS THEIR PHONE and being told we couldn't get help from them I can tell you that Blackstone not only answers their phone but you can talk to your attorney, AND THEY GOT RESULTS. So far I have just completed the intake process. Steven (the intake specialist) was very helpful and compassionate - I am initiating action for harassment and wrongful termination, and was in shock / severely traumatized at the time when I first contacted the firm. I could not have asked for a better personal injury lawyer! I was involved in a car accident, after which I spent some time in the hospital. The other driver was not injured and didn't seem interested in resolving the issue. They refused to admit fault. I had no idea what to do and I was terrified I would be left with the damages and medical bills. I met with Jonathan the day I was discharged from the hospital. I have been searching for a attorney to review a possible wrong full termination suit against my employer. I was told by the others attorneys that they could not help with my possible case. Blackstone Law was one the first I contacted. It took awhile for them to get back to me with their decision about a month. Josh Ayala called and informed me that after careful review of the circumstances that their attorney's feel confident that my claim is valid and they would like to move forward. I was injured in a motorcycle accident leaving me with broken bones, PTSD and a long road to recovery. All the previous lawyers I spoke to were very judgmental and belittling (much like my first responders) telling me that as a women I should not be a motorcycle driver, and after this accident I should give it up all together. It was really hard to hear, especially after such a bad accident, to feel as though I did not have an kind of ally was super difficult. First and foremost, I would like to congratulate Jonathan on building such a fantastic team! Every time I came to the office, everyone there was friendly and attentive. so this afternoon, one of the Law firms representatives reached out to me in regards to a potential workplace harassment case The Representative's name was Danielle P I hope I'm getting that correct even though the conversation went 2 1/2 hours. I can't say that she was very precise very informative and also a lot more questions than some of the other. A real professional team with top notch quality of attention and care. I had a personal injury case and was referred to Nathan Safaradi, and he was awesome. I had a case before involving a car accident and the previous firm I went to handled the case ok but their personal touch was subpar. I though I was going to get a similar situation but, Nathan proved me wrong and I'm glad he did. In terms of the case, he did a phenomenal job and went above and beyond.
