Coffee (cream added)

*A Taste of Southern Hospitality* We stopped in for a Southern-style breakfast on a Friday morning during our vacation and while the restaurant was fairly empty--likely due to the lack of an event in town--we were welcomed with warmth and seated immediately. Both of us ordered coffee along with the D' Country Biscuits and hash brown casserole. I must say, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the homemade gravy added a delightful touch to the meal. The hash brown casserole was absolutely delicious, complementing our dishes wonderfully. The coffee was good, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. The only downside was the use of plastic utensils; I would have preferred real forks, spoons, and knives to enhance the meal. However, this minor inconvenience didn't overshadow the overall experience. In summary, I would definitely recommend this place for a hearty Southern breakfast. The food and service were top-notch, making it a spot worth visiting! Lastly a tip: the ceiling fans "get right with it" so your food may cool off quicker than you can eat it if you choose a seat directly under one of them.

Great breakfast and friendly service. Comfortable setting. I ordered the do your own breakfast - Eggs, toast, crispy bacon (as requested by me), and super tasty hash brown casserole. Good coffee too. Very welcoming restaurant. Owner and/or manager stopped by to thank me for coming in and we had a little conversation about where I was from and how I happened into the restaurant. Nice touch! Thanks Kabreyia (see photo) for your excellent service and hash brown casserole recommendation...

An awesome breakfast here the service is awesome and a great atmosphere!! My only issue is the utensils is a cheap plastic I'm ok with plastic but at least get some that don't bend or break.

I was visiting from California, and my daughter and I came in for breakfast. We were immediately seated. The server was the sweetest thing. I can't remember her name, but she was very attentive. The owner made rounds to check on everyone, and checked in with us twice. He was so nice and welcoming. The food was REALLY good. We had D'juevos omelet, bacon, cheese grits, and hashbrown casserole. It was the best breakfast I've had in a restaurant in YEARS. The egg was perfect, delicately cooked. The chorizo had great flavor. The cheese grits were done right. The bacon had good flavor and cooked perfectly chewy. This is a small business, they don't have a lot of staff yet, so bare with them on weekends when they get slammed. They really are putting their hearts and souls into it, and it shows.

Gary & Yo made our Tupelo visit, great people!

I'll start our experience in reverse because the people (Gary & Yolanda) made our visit as much as the food (but man, the grit casserole & hash brown casseroles were amazing!). Throughout our breakfast Gary was on-point, "need more coffee", "how is everything", "what brings you to Tupelo (yep Elvis)", "where are your from". Then we just keep eating and talk'in, Yolanda 'Yo', comes into the mix and is is funny and friendly, the hospitality and service is great. We really hit it off with them both, if we're ever back in Tupelo these people would be the reason, we'd love to have a nice family BBQ with them. We wrapped up some leftovers for our dog and Gary brings out a few sausage patties to top it off, this guy is first-class. Now on to the food, we has some 'standard fair' in pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, all was really good. But if you're here try some of the non-standards, everything they put their signature on is amazing, the casserole's were WOW! Thanks a bunch y'all, you topped off our trip through Tupelo perfectly.

Jobos is located inside the fairly new Hotel Tupelo and just a short walk from Cadence Bank Arena,…read morewhich makes it super convenient. We came here for dinner one night, and while the experience started off rocky, it turned around quickly. There were several empty tables by the windows, so we asked our waitress if we could sit at one of them. She said no and told us that section was closed. The restaurant is narrow and was nearly empty, so it felt odd that those tables weren't available. She was also pretty rude about it. But then the manager came out, apologized immediately, and told us of course we could sit there. She even mentioned she'd been having issues with that particular waitress. Her quick response and professionalism honestly made the whole situation a non-issue and earned this place five stars right off the bat. As for the food, I ordered the burger, and it was great. They have some really good-looking cocktails, though I didn't try any that night. My friend ordered the shrimp cocktail as her main meal and enjoyed it. I'll definitely give Jobos my business again next time I'm in the area.

I've been here a couple of times. This time the restaurant was festive for the holidays…read more I tried two tacos (fish and shrimp) this time around and I was unimpressed by them. They were very bland. Our waitress was really nice and accommodated our group. She was very descriptive and shared her favorites with us I'll come back again as it's convenient for the location but will definitely try something different.

Great food!!! We pass by Tupelo often!! Will come here as often as possible!…read more Oysters yum Wedge yum Scallops and steak....yes!!

I was in town for a couple of weeks and ended up at Forklift twice. Overall? Good. Nothing…read morelife-changing, but solid enough that I went back. Visit #1: I ordered the Voo Doo Tots and the prime filet. The tots? Okay, these were amazing. Like, I could've just eaten those and been happy. The steak was a solid prime filet--cooked well and enjoyable, even if it didn't quite steal the show from the tots. Visit #2: I tried the Chef's Charcuterie Board (which, plot twist, is served on a plate... not a board) and the Forklift Fried Chicken. The chicken plate was a little disappointing for me. The collard greens and cornbread were definitely "not how momma made them" (kidding... kind of). Still edible, just not memorable. Both visits left me satisfied, but it's more of a "stroll back" than a "run back" kind of place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which always bumps a restaurant up a notch in my book. I didn't try one of their Old Fashioneds--apparently what they're known for--but I did go for the Fire of Mordor cocktail. Tequila-based, delicious, and honestly the name alone sold me. Cozy restaurant, and we had reservations both times even though it wasn't packed. Overall, Forklift is a nice spot to land for a good meal in Tupelo.
