BEWARE COLLEGE STUDENTS/VISITORS Valley Towing / Swain…read moreCollision has partnered with Riverwalk Apartments, which operates with highly questionable business ethics that prey on college students and visitors like myself and my peers. A friend of mine parked in what was clearly marked "Visitor" parking -- still visible under faded paint -- and supported by a newer sign on a nearby light post. I paid in full for four days of visitor parking through Riverwalk's parking system, yet her car was towed without notice and we were forced to pay $400 to retrieve it. When we requested photo evidence from Swain Collision and Riverwalk their images conveniently avoided the part of the pavement that still visibly read "Visitor." They also failed to acknowledge or apply the prepaid parking already registered in their system. Multiple phone calls went unanswered for over an hour, and when we finally received a call back, the employee said he was "out to lunch," and would be back in two hours. Aside from this inconvenience, upon our arrival at the tow yard, we were rudely met with, "Do you have the money?" and were denied a basic itemized receipt. The employee said they don't print receipts and only accept cash transactions. This is not just bad service -- it's intentional, predatory behavior. Not only is this unprofessional, it is also exploitative. For a company entrusted by residential complexes, especially those serving college students who may be new to the area -- this kind of treatment is unacceptable. It reflects a disturbing business model built not on fairness or service, but on opportunism towards students. I strongly urge students, parents, and community members to be cautious when dealing with apartments like this and their partnered vendors. Companies like Valley Towing & Swain Collision should not be allowed to continue operating with such disregard for transparency, customer rights, and ethical standards. Avoid this company and think twice about living somewhere that supports these shady practices.

We had a truck wreck because of an incompetent driver in a car running a red light in Marble NC in…read moreAugust 2024. Our truck was totaled but our new trailer was fine. The state trooper that was at the accident said that we would not be able to take our trailer back to our yard and that the towing company would have to take it. We argued and said that we could take it because it was not damaged, and we had brought another semi to take it home with. He would not let us and said we would need to call a towing company to get our truck and trailer. So, we called our towing company to come pick it up for us and the State Trooper said to cancel it, that he had just called another towing company. Which happened to be A Automotive and Truck. They have been down our throats since the accident about coming to get our trailer, even though it is out of our hands now and in the hands of insurance. They have harassed us AND insurance over the phone. Lloyd does not understand that insurance takes time to go through and cannot just throw out money to people and companies. He has yelled over the phone to us and charged our driver $450 to come onto the premises DURING HOURS. They have also charged us $400 per day for every day that the truck and trailer is there. Which is really high compared to most towing companies that charge between $100-$200 per day. The bill for our totaled truck right now is about $12,000 and our trailer tow bill is about $13,000. Which is crazy because the trailer wasn't even damaged. Overall A Automotive and Truck have been terrible to deal with and I would not recommend them to ANYONE that has a wreck because they will harass you and overcharge you.

He came to us and said he'd go grab a tire and come back. Mind you, this was a Sunday and it was in the middle of thunderstorm...and he was closed! He fixed us up, filled up all our other tires, and sent us on our way. That's after Good Sam and AAA kept us waiting hours! Thank you, Lloyd for being our answer to prayer!
