(I know he does roadside as well) but once I got past my confusion, Red's son helped me out by checking out my car. Got absolutely no sense of being ripped off- both Red and his son were respectful and transparent. I bought the parts needed from Advance and they replaced my brake pads in ~20 min and filled up my tires for $60. I essentially needed my car issue diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours as we had some travel planned and needed the car in working order, and they were able to do that for a very fair price.

We rented a cabin (Cullisia) from them in August 2013. The cabin was clean and, for the most part,…read morewell stocked. It was pretty much as advertised on their website. They were easy to deal with and communicated in a concise and timely manner and genuinely seemed to be interested in making our stay an enjoyable one. From the comments in their guest book in the cabin, others feel the same way. We wished that the cabin had some space for storing our food (instead of out on the counter) and missed not having a couple of items in the kitchen (foil, a broiler pan/rack), but those are minor issues in the scheme of things. Bed linens, pillows, towels, soap, etc. were all provided and the cabin was clean and well maintained. We didn't use the TVs during our stay, but did make use of the Internet connection and Wi-Fi and I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of the connection. The cabin we were in had no cellphone service on our carrier (AT&T), so plan to be off the grid as far as your cellphone is concerned. This cabin is "off the beaten path", so make sure that you stop in Bryson City and pick up your groceries before you head that way (and have everything that you need) or you'll be looking at a 15-20 minute one-way trip back. Some people won't like that, but to us, it was part of the appeal of the cabin and the location. The rocking chairs and swing on the porch and the sound of the creek below make this cabin a spot well worth the time and effort if you're looking for something away from the city life. I can certainly recommend dealing with these folks for your cabin rentals.

We want to come back again with our families- the game room downstairs would be a great spot for the teens (& husbands) and there were more beds in the loft that we didn't even use.
