Horrible experience with this company. Hired them to come do deep root tree fertilizer around five trees in my yard. When the guy was finished (or so I thought) he came to my door, announced he was finished and shook my hand. After he left I examined his work only to discover that he had only finished around %60 of the job. I contacted the main office and told them about the "half finished" job and was promised they would send someone back out to finish the job. No real acknowledgement that had I not called them on the guys lie that they had just tried to scam me. So I scheduled time for them to fix their error and waited.....and waited.....and waited... After three days of waiting and nobody coming I called and asked what was going on. Got some long winded excuse (bs) and was promised they would be out in a day to make the fix. Shocker....nobody showed. Called one last time and got a new crazy bs excuse story as to why nobody had been by. Finally told them to move on, I was done with them. They were happy to take my money though.... If you want a professional, honorable, arborist to help you with your project in a timely, dependable manner....DO NOT CALL THESE FOLKS. Can't speak about their expertise with trees, but the driver of their truck almost caused an accident on the DNT this evening. He was towing a chipper after sunset with no lights on and nearly sideswiped me pulling into my lane while I was directly to his right. I was then behind him as he exited and merged into the SRT. Never once use a signal. Dude, improve your driving or before someone gets hurt. read more

Looking to put my house on the market and called an engineer to do an assessment on the condition of the foundation. Good news was that I didn't need any foundation work, but he highly recommended that I remove a tree (25 years old) that was way to close to the foundation and could cause problems later. D&J to the rescue! They worked with my schedule to remove the tree and I had them grind the stump. The D&J team (Don, Benito) worked fast and carefully to prevent and damage to the house or windows in bringing the tree down in sections, put the waste into their chipper and hauled way the debris. Clean-up was meticulous. Because of their outstanding work, I had them trim up two trees (live oak and Bradford pear) that were in dire need of trimming. Unlike a lot of services that 'claim' to have an arborist on staff (but who is never involved,resulting in butchered trees), Julie is a certified arborist who was on site and consulted with Benito for the exact trim to be performed. D&J is professional and I would highly recommend them. Prices were very reasonable, with no 'gotchas', and the trees look great! read more

I recently worked with D&J Arborists to have several trees on my property trimmed and pruned. They were able to accommodate my scheduling needs without difficulty and David was prompt and friendly when he came out to take a look and create an estimate. The actual work was very well done, but was less complete than I'd expected, owing to miscommunication. There's always the potential for misunderstanding, but D&J were eager to correct the situation, and continued to come back out and work on my trees until the work met my original expectations. I was very pleased with this company. After damage to our tree, they promptly responded, assessed the stability and determined the safety of the remaining tree. Although they were very busy and short staffed, they came the next day to get the job done, staying until late hours, allowing us to have peace of mind that our house was protected. It was clear they have a high standard of work ethic, integrity, and dedication. I would recommend D&J for any tree service needs!! read more
