To make matters worse, a hard inquiry was placed on my credit, which negatively affected my credit score, and will effect my score for 2 yrs now, even though the original loan terms were not honored. I felt misled and frustrated by the lack of transparency throughout the process. I hope the company improves its communication and ensures customers receive accurate information before their credit is impacted. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this branch. From what I can see it starts at the top. Maybe a new branch manager is needed with the company being under 2 stars. It's clear customer service is last on their list

When she called me to discuss my payment being late (of course I take full responsibility) she introduced herself and bluntly and rudely said "Your payment is late. Why?". I have been in customer service in many fields for over 15 years. The lack of customer service or any kind of understanding or empathy was completely absent. All other vehicles in this price range were rolling garbage. My role was to make sure the vehicle was sound and had no mechanical issues. I brought with me my extensive knowledge in vehicles along with my personal scantool that I always use in every vehicle I own. After the walk around (the 5th of the day) I checked the oil, and pulled out my scan tool to check the codes. Eureka! No codes. .... Great price, looked good, no codes.. there has ti be a catch right? No catch what so ever. Joe was the nicest sales person I ever had to deal with. He made sure he checked all the boxes with customer service. He was kind, caring, polite and I felt went above in his assistance towards us fulfilling all of our needs. It had to be less than 30 minutes from when we arrived... checked the vehicle... test drive the vehicle... filled out the paperwork and drove off of the lot. The timing chain broke, the motor irreparable. A 3rd party repair shop determined that the motor showed recent repairs to the valves and pistons. When I contacted Joe at Car EZ there was no recourse. No warranty, no compensation, no offer to incur any expenses to bring the car to his shop to evaluate. He did gesture a break on labor for repairs. After discovering that the motor had been damaged and repaired and being told that the original motor was intact I decided to forgo any further dealings with Car EZ... I can't help but to feel cheated and taken advantage of. I am left with a $3500 debt to replace the motor with no financial reimbursement from Car EZ Motor. Stay clear, or get burned.

I'm 18 years old and was interested in buying a truck they had for sale at 701 S Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92701. The truck had around 180,000 miles and a bad transmission, which Manny told me would be repaired before I picked it up the following weekend. I got approved for financing and sent a $500 deposit, with the plan to finish the paperwork and pay the rest of my down payment when I picked up the truck. The next day, after thinking it over, I decided I didn't want to move forward because I felt I was paying too much for a truck with that mileage and a transmission that still needed to be repaired. I called Manny and told him I wanted to cancel everything and get my $500 deposit back. He told me the loan had already been funded and claimed I had signed the contract. I never signed any paperwork or electronically signed any documents, so I disputed that. He also told me my $500 would not be refunded because it was being kept as a cancellation fee. After that, he stopped answering my calls. About a week later, I received a call from the bank saying the loan had not been canceled and that I was expected to make payments on a truck I never took possession of. On 07/12/26, we went back to the dealership, and Manny told us he would refund my $500 by 3:00 PM on 07/13/26. That time came and went, I never received my money, and he stopped answering my calls.

I told them I didn't want it and were hesitant at first but assured me they would take it off once they realized I was paying the car in full with cash at hand and was ready to leave. I was told they would remove it while we did the paperwork. After the deal is done, the next day I'm having issues turning on my car. I get AAA to check my battery, only to be told the battery is fine. In fact the same person helping me says they see a security system installed. I call the dealership to let them know they didn't remove their system. They say that's not possible since they removed it, which was a complete lie. The scammer on the phone got aggressive when I called them out on it, so I hung up. I figured it out after a while and haven't had any issues since. Overall, wanting to charge 2k for a cheap security system and then acting stupid when they know they left the system installed tells me how incompetent and shady they are. For the headache they gave me for not letting me know at least how to activate and deactivate it, at least I got an anti theft system thrown in for free.
