I want to be fair in my review here, so I'm going to give the good AND the not so good. The good: 1) Incredibly kind guys. 2) Great communication from start to finish. 3) Accommodated scheduling a move less than a week from the move date. 4) They wrestled a couch up four flights of stairs like champs. The not so good: 1) There's a tear in my brand new mattress - I think because they forced it into the old, tiny elevator (it should have gone up the stairs). This is a huge bummer because it is an incredibly expensive and new, all-organic materials mattress. 2) There are two holes in my walls that I'll need to patch now. They're small, but they're there. 3) Why does the customer have to pay for the cost of the rental truck? I feel like a moving company should have their own moving truck. 4) This move should have taken at least an hour less. I moved from a studio to a studio that were two miles apart and the biggest things I had were a mattress and a couch. Their pace was so casual that I had to start helping. Would I use them again? Probably not. BUT they seem to be a newer moving company so they'll probably get their kinks worked out. The movers should have been faster and more careful but it's also incredibly hard work. Don't decide to not hire them based on my review. This was just one experience. They have other very great reviews but I felt like it was important to give an honest review of my own experience. read more

I've used D&D Movers a few times over the last year and they have always been responsive, reliable, and most importantly, well priced! I had them out this morning to move a giant refrigerator out of a rental which included taking off the doors while the hoses were still connected to get it through some tight spaces. It was a 2 day ordeal with this company. I have a 3 story 3 bedroom townhouse. I explained all the furniture that is in the house. They showed up very late with a truck way way too small first of all. I was moving only 10 minutes away. After 3 hours they come to my new location and tell me they have to make additional trips. I had all boxes marked and I went through the house to show them where every thing should go. They placed all the boxes in the garage and put the furniture in the wrong rooms. They said they have to do another trip. After 5 hours, I tell them I only have about money for 1 more hour. Thats when they inform me they STILL had more at the orginial location. They wanted to make 3 TRIPS! I told them no, stop, I already paid u through PayPal. 10 minutes later they come back and told ne that my payment is on hold, and then did a refund and wanted me to pay him a different way. Um...the refund takes 2-3 days to go back on my credit card and where will I get $800 from? So for an hour I had to frantically figure out how to pay them even though I ALREADY DID and it was their fault for messing it up. Aftwr that crap they said we accidentally put a hole in your old house, but we will be back tommorrow to do it. Ok, cool, thats being professional. So we start unpacking. My daughters dresser is severly scuffed. They lost screws to out beds. All of my daughter's jewelry is missing out of her jewelry drawer. Not the makeup, just the jewelry. My 65" smart TV screen in cracked and now the screen is completely black. They destroyed the wood around the screw holes in my bed and now it cant be put together. So they come back the 2nd day. We inform them of it. They apologize promise to make it right. They said they will patch the holes, paint the walls with paint provided, come to the new house and put the beds together and that's it. They patched the many holes at the old place and then called us and said they were on their way to the new house. Never heard from them again. They wont answer our calls. Just poof gone. I paid $800 for more than $1000 worth of damage. If They just did what they said and offered us $100-$200 towards our $700 TV then seriously, it would have been made right. I am a small business owner, I understand the struggle. But what they did is ridiculous. They screwed us so badly. read more

These guys were fantastic! Moved from out of state, so unsure of our timeline for arriving to schedule movers ahead of time. Called on a Friday, and they were able to get to us on Saturday. The showed up on time, were very courteous and friendly. We had a 15 ft Uhaul packed full, including a recliner, couch, 4-piece entertainment center, and heavy queen mattress, and moving into a 3rd floor apartment. They had the whole truck unloaded in an hour, and made climbing those narrow stairs with big heavy furniture seem like such a breeze! They were also very reasonably priced. worst movers I've ever hired. spoke to the owners to schedule. he told me he would be here with two other guys to coordinate. called me because they were late. ended up an hour late. owner had something else to do. two gu guys showed up. one was a hard worker the other spent more time running around outside in their truck and eventually left the job and never returned. The good worker had to finish all by himself. I called and text the owner and got no response. owner wouldn't even answer his employees phone calls. they lost the next scheduled job because he couldn't get there when he was scheduled having to finish mine by himself. I emailed the owner about what happened and I got no response. how has he gotten good reviews? must have been coaxed to say they were good. they were supposed to pack and move me and most of my things were just stacked unorganized in my new place which took me forever to find everything I was looking for. don't hire this company. he lies when you book and won't respond so I'm tired of waiting for a call or a conversation about what happened. read more

Had D&D scheduled for a Saturday at 10 AM to move our stuff. They didn't show up. I called multiple numbers I had for them and texted them with no response. Got a text from them a little after 11 AM saying they just woke up and asking if they can reschedule... What are you supposed to do when you are planning on moving on a specific day and your movers don't show up??? Reschedule???? Incredibly frustrated. We ended up having to find some movers last second which was a pain and ended up costing more than we planned on spending and finished moving 6 hours later than planned. Very unprofessional and disappointing. We had our move scheduled with them for weeks and they TEXTED 4 hours before they were scheduled to arrive to cancel. I had a very great overall experience with this company. I had procrastinated getting movers and I reached out for an estimate on Sunday, had an in person estimate Tuesday and they did my packing and moving on Friday! Very personable and professional. They took care of my belongings packing and moving them, all at a very reasonable price. There were no hidden fees. And in addition to packing and moving, the owner Djen is returning to mount my tv later this week (because I don't know the first thing about it). Above and beyond, would highly recommend. read more
