Jim was very responsive. It's a flat fee plus $65 per hour. With roughly 3 hours of work for my 1 bedroom, including elevators, the cost out the door was $350 - incredibly fair. And they made it such an easy experience. In particular: James and Alan. I noticed shady characters roaming around the moving truck. They helped keep unwanted people in downtown from stealing my belongings in the truck. That's going the extra mile in my book. This company moved me back in November 2025. They did a good job moving until I got my tv plugged in and found that it was broken, I understand things happen. I contacted the owner right away and he said he would put in an insurance claim. After he checked in a few times there has been zero contact about the claim. I have also left a review before and the owner called me asking me to take down that review and he will get it taken care of. I have called many times with no answer and left voicemails with no response back. It is now June of 2026. Do not use this company, if they break something they will leave you high and dry. Jim. It's been 6 months. Not 6 weeks. Go look at a calendar. We moved November 15, 2025. It is now June 11,2026. You refuse to answer my phone calls now. We just bought a house and I would have rehired you to help us move again on Monday if you would have just answered and dealt with this like a professional. We will be reporting you to the BBB. EDIT: Following my review, an impersonation Craigslist ad using my personal phone number was posted within hours, resulting in 40+ harassment calls. This incident has been documented and reported. EDIT 2: I found out they do business as "Fantastic Movers" as well. I am not happy with the service I received. I hired Moving Helper for a local move and was quoted approximately 8 hours. The final time was more than 11 hours, significantly increasing the cost. During the move: * Multiple fragile items were broken (including several glasses). * Boxes were stacked five high, resulting in a clearly labeled fragile box falling from the top. * Mattress covers were not used. * In 11 hours they didn't finish moving everything from my house (including a TV). * The crew took frequent breaks and asked me to move items myself. * Professional conduct was lacking (loud music and excessive cursing inside the home). When I contacted the owner Jim to address these issues, the response was defensive. I was told the damages were due to how I packed items. He also stated that a refund would have been offered if I were not already receiving a "discounted rate," although the rate charged was the rate quoted upfront. Moving is already stressful, and the lack of care and professionalism -- both during the move and afterward -- made the experience more difficult than it needed to be. DO NOT HIRE THEM! This company is a scam. It's some sort of third party company. Jim comes off very nice and responsive. I even texted him a couple days before for confirmation. On the scheduled 9am move day they no showed. Jim's phone went straight to voicemail and then the company phone kept rejecting my call. Obviously I started panicking because I had to be out of this house by midnight. Jim finally called at 10:15 trying to say the truck wouldn't start. Luckily I had already gotten in touch with another trustworthy company who offered to come at 3pm to take care of me. I would highly recommend "Dolly Daddies" instead. read more

I was moving local and requested Moving Helper Denver to help. They hade good rates and was very accommodating. I requested a moving date and had to chang the date last minute. One call and the date was changed. On the date of my move they showed up late but was very quick, careful, and polite. The price, service, and accommodation was great. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! ***Update: As of about an hour after this review was posted, Jim responded. He has heard from the insurance company & stated he would replace my TV. BUT ONLY AFTER TAKING DOWN THIS POST. I have additionally attached screenshots of that text conversation, including his pathetic attempt at extortion. In the interest of complete transparency, I did not answer his phone calls today. Those interactions cannot be recorded without permission. But there is no such guideline regarding text communications.*** I would have given negative stars, if I could! I used this service for a local move on 11/01/2025. The appointment was scheduled for a start time of 9-9:30am. The owner, Jim, called just before 9am to say the trucks wouldn't start because of the cold weather. No one had plugged them in overnight and the start time would be closer to 10:30am. Nick arrived at 10:37am and we started the walk through. Wakeen(sp?) arrived with the truck shortly before 11am, but they claimed they didn't have shrink wrap & needed to make a quick run to Home Depot. I told them the nearest Lowe's was at Sheridan & 88th. I was then told they had tons of blankets, but no shrink wrap. To get the job started, I agreed that my things did not need to be shrink wrapped so long as they were handled with care & wrapped with blankets to keep them clean. The load out seemed to go relatively well, with a few exceptions. When it was time to leave, I asked them to give me a moment to use the restroom then I would be right out & they could follow me (I told them what I drive) to my new place. Instead, they had already pulled off as I was pulling out of the parking area. It took me 6 minutes, it took them 20. Once at the new place, things took a turn. The guys started arguing with each other. I had a friend come over (prearranged) to help me assemble the bed. We originally scheduled for noon. I pushed her back to 1:30 but when she got here, the guys were frustrated with each other & mishandling my things. Taking time away from doing the job to argue then tossing my uncovered chair cushions directly onto the floor of the truck. Nick was carrying the dining & living room chairs with the seat on his head & left sweat stains. They forced the sofa through the door & tore the fabric. There is a chunk of drywall missing now. My dresser has a chunk of wood taken out. My mattress is filthy & has a tear in it. I reached out to Jim, rather than leave a bad review, in hopes that he might knock off some of the "time", being that there should have been ample time to adequately supply the truck with shrink wrap due to the late start & time was taken away from the job while the guys were arguing. In my estimation, it took an hour to an hour & a half longer than it should have. I was told, no. That the move was already discounted and he was losing money. He did offer to fix the drywall, but nothing else. Later in the day, I plugged in the TV and realized the movers had broken it, too. I had another exchange with Jim that eventually led to him stating that he would file an insurance claim, "but it can take 4-6 weeks & I wouldn't expect much." I needed to call in to record a statement. Jim questioned me about the damage to the dresser, when I said I didn't see how or when it happened. Jim argued that it could have been damaged prior to the move, even though I had sent him pictures of the chunk of wood in my hand & the dresser missing the chunk. The ripped mattress, sweat-stained furniture, and torn sofa fabric were not addressed when Jim took my "statement". Though, a record was made of the broken 50" TCL smart TV. I reached back out to Jim after 9 weeks to follow up regarding the claim, as he never contacted me. He replied that he hadn't heard anything & would reach out to them on Monday. That was 4 weeks ago. I have, again, reached out to Jim today to ask if he even filed the claim. So far, there has been no reply. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! read more

My boyfriend and I were moving apartments and had a bunch of heavy furniture and just stuff that has accumulated, so we decided to hire movers to help us out. We reached out to multiple different places but Moving Helpers gave us such a good quote that we couldn't refuse and hired their services for our move. I must admit I was a little bit hesitant because they're a newer company with only one review at the time of us hiring them. But I'm so happy we went with their services. Jim stayed in constant contact and kept us updated on scheduling, and he was so gracious with any changes of plans on our side of it too. We had 3 different stops on our move and Dain and Chris handled everything with such grace. They moved everything quickly and efficiently while being careful with all of our furniture. They were respectful of all the spaces we were in and were well prepared. They were also such a vibe and joked around with us and our friends while we were moving which made everything even more enjoyable. Our moving crew were Isaiah and Nick. They bent over backwards to get us moved after having already been moving other homes for the previous EIGHT hours. They were phenomenal, and are the only reason I am giving 3 stars. Communication from the owner, was sub-par, at best. He over promised and under delivered. I had to initiate all communication even when the team was running behind. Rates are good, and alluring. However, the crew was vastly over scheduled that day. They had another job they were supposed to go to AFTER our home which they left at 8:30pm. They were (luckily) released from that assignment at the last minute, but which made me happy for them, but curious about who did not get moved that night. If you have no particular schedule and/or deadline you need met with your move, and if consistency in communication is not important to you, this company is a good fit, at a good price. read more
