We went there and they are open during COVID. I appreciate the wash station by the entrance. They require all customers to wash hands prior to entering. However, they didn't have much selection and worse, their customer service isn't great. The person we talked to was not friendly, and in fact rude. I'm not surprised to read the comments here on poor customer service. I shall update my review if we return as they will be receiving new inventory. There is street parking and a nearby parking space across the street.

This bike is a AB elite made in Japan.

Totally awesome. Had some puncture proof inserts installed on my Vee speedster fat tire e bike. my first ride with the new tires were totally awesome. Ran over a screw and it was stuck on my tire pulled it out and there were no problems at all. Thank you so much for installing my tires and puncture proof inserts.

Finally got a new Specialized bike! The owner Ben is a cool dude!

Amazing buying experience! I am totally new the bike world, and I'm glad that I came here to learn about the different bike models and get advice on what style/size bike I should get. Everyone here is super helpful and knowledgeable. The owner, Ben, is great and takes the time to chat with customers and understand their needs. One of the main guys that helped me was Sebastian, who really helped me understand the importance of the size bike to get. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase of my new Specialized bike! But I was even more satisfied with the service experience I received from here. Since buying my bike, I've been back to get some additional accessories as well, which they helped with installing. Also, they are taking every precaution during this time to protect customers. They installed a sink to wash your hands before you enter the store, and ensure everyone (including employees) wears a mask while inside. Hats off to Cyclepath for taking initiative to keep their customers safe!

I have to say I am impressed by the quality of the workmanship I got here today. I was having an issue with my newer mt bike; it was not clicking into gear right and pedaling was not smooth. As you know I am do it yourselfer. I tried to fix it on my own but I didn't make it any better. I thought lets see if a pro's can make it better. I have always driven by this place and I like that when you text them; they would text you back! That is a huge plus. So for the shop yes they are open special hours; see there site. You have to wash your hands as soon as you get in. Not sure if that really helps at all as dirty hands are touching the soap but I guess you are fine after. Anyways I brought my bike in for the Mini Tune up service. They took the bike and said they could do it in 1 day this was huge for me. I love fast service who doesn't. They ended up calling me two time and texted me saying one of my bearings was bad on my bike offered to replaced it; it was an add on to the Mini Tune up service. It's was a small mark up and a fair price on labor. Anyways I get there; they tell me what they did; I got dropped off as I wanted to ride my bike home; Its about a 4 mile ride nice and easy. Man the bike felt amazing! All of the gears went in without issue; I was flying on the bike it felt so good. The best it has ever felt. They did a really good job with there tune up and new bearing my bike felt brand new. They got it done in 1 day. I was very impressed with the results. So I would say they are great when it comes with workmanship and service. my only beef is a bit on pricing; as i understand they need to make money and markup. Just know you are going to be paying to play when it comes to bikes I would return 4 stars for sure

Tried to charge me $50 to change a tire. Extremely rude and disrespectful. I hope the business owner reads this and does something about it.

They've been a great bicycle shop for many years. Unfortunately, they're closing 'within a couple months'.

I am very picky and like nice work, even down to clean lines of tape that secures the bar tape.

Short Story: The best bike shop in the Bay Area!…read more Long Story: I first came here in Aug 2024 to purchase a bike. They have a large selection of Giant brand bikes at all price ranges. James and his staff was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional about everything. They really spend the time to answer your questions and not just to "sell you something." The process to buy a bike is that you go to the retailer website (for example, Giant) and order the bike yourself. You have the bike shipped to Centripedal and they will assemble it for you. Afterwards they will call you to come in for a fitting. Then after this you can take the bike home. You get one year of maintenance, parts, and labor for free. Afterwards, you then pay as needed. The turnaround time to get the bike was about a week and James was able to deliver it to me (after fitting) as my car couldn't fit the bike and I lived relatively close by. Verdict: I'm going back in the future!

I have been coming here for years. Couple of years back I had a not so good experience with one of…read morethe service specialists but I brushed it off as one off and continued to get my service repairs here. Today I went in for an issue that I was having on my rear brake (squeaking noise and over heating ).They had changed the brake pads and I had not used my bike much. So I was expecting something to do with that. The person (same Specialist) suggested to replace the system (pad, rotor ) to fix it as it was a waste of time for him to clean the pads. He was also expecting me to pay for the brake pads again. He also insinuated that I must have insisted for just the brake pad change to save costs etc , basically passing the issue to me. At that point I lost trust in the repair recommendation and bummed by the attitude. And will likely get his fixed somewhere else. Used to love this place but am going to another shop onwards.

They were incredibly helpful in helping me pick out my bike!…read more On top of that, I once came in with a flat tire, and one of the owners took the time to explain the issue and honestly told me I didn't need new tires. In my book, that says everything--they're a fantastic local business that hires local kids and truly care about their customers. Win-win all around. I'm always happy to support this business!

This review is specifically for the owner Fred. Being a customer of here for almost 10 years I want…read moreto say that this review is not based on a one-time experience. My brother and dad stopped coming to this bike shop many years ago when they both felt that they were being judged when they were looking at the bikes in the store. They insisted that the Asian guy with the ponytail never greeted them when they entered the store and he would just stare at them. I always try to look for the good in people so I brushed it off and proceeded to buy not one, not two, but three bikes from this store over the years. Here is the thing about Fred. He treats you with some sort of decency when he knows you're interested in buying something from his store. However, when there is no money going into his pockets that is when you will see his true colors. To put it plainly, he is condescending when he talks to you because he probably believes he knows more about bikes than 99% of the people that walk into the store. You can also tell that it has been a long time since he has been put in check by the way he talks down on his customers. I bought a Tarmac in 2023 from the website SPECIALIZED.COM because Fred did not have that model in stock. When I asked one of his workers if they could order it, he said they could not because it was not available. The website however did have it in stock. One of their options is to have it delivered to one of the local bike shops that carries Specialized bikes. What Fred does not want people to know is that as a bike shop that sells Specialized bikes, he is obligated to build any bike that is bought from the website and delivered to his store. I also bought carbon rims from the website since they offer 15% off for first time customers. When I came to pick up the bike and the rims, he literally yelled "I am not making any money!" That is when I knew what he was all about. For me, that was the last straw. I will never spend another dollar here. To be honest, this store would be much better if Fred never spoke to the customers directly. For the most part, Tina the manager, the sales staff and the mechanics all do a good job. Even the previous staff with Camacho and the manager Scott knew how to treat the customers. Fred may know more about bikes than his staff but he does not know how to talk to customers. I also heard that the previous staff pre-pandemic were all let go due to missing inventory. I am not saying that stealing is right. However, if you treat customers and your staff poorly, then it will come back to bite you. Karma is real. One last word of advice is to ALWAYS get a second opinion from another bike shop when Fred tells you what your bike needs. I found out what he suggested with my brake lines was not altogether necessary and would have cost me more than double had I followed through with his advice.

We went to see Robert and he had no problem exchanging the basket and showing me options. I love options and how he wants to make sure his customers are satisfied. I absolutely love my new upgraded Top Peak Bike Bag. It slides in and off the bike rack mount. It even has a strap if I want to carry it as a bag. It was in the shop for 4 days, didn't even start on it. We called and they said they can't do the tires for him unless he gets a brand new brake system for a total of $410! Like what? So we brought it to another spot down the street called "ELECTRIC BIKE CENTER" asked about the brakes they said there's nothing wrong with it and they changed his tires for $90.
