These guys are honest, fair and very helpful. I brought my "bikes" in for a tune up after a winter of bad behavior of keeping them under the deck covered with a tarp. I know I'm new. They did what they could to resesitate them and only charged me for the tune upon my husbands bike because my Huffy wasn't long for this world. They got my bike good enough for my family vacation that weekend and helped carry and pack them in my van. I know any other place would have just charged me for both tune ups and maybe tried to hard sell me on a new $$$ bike but these guys work with you and give you the honest low down. These guys did a great job helping me fix my bike. They were honest (clearly explained and showed me what was wrong and gave options ranging from economy to upgrade) and then executed on time, while providing updates over the phone at decision points along the repair. I live 5 miles from Greg's and will drive my bike all the way down to Kent for what these guys did. It's easy to find the big bad shop but you should give these guys a shot. read more

Rick is a ROCK STAR! I nearly took a header off my bike when the pedal unexpectedly sheared off as I was coming down a steep hill. Luckily I was close to his Kent location when it happened and not only did he fix it immediately, he ensured other key elements, i.e. a handlebar grip that was about to fail, were good to go as well. I'm not a avid bike rider, I just had an old bike sitting in my garage that I wanted to start riding again. Took it somewhere in Tukwila first but wasn't happy with the price they gave me to fix a peddle. Took it here instead, they are a smaller shop but they had all the parts I needed and gave me a great price! They had it done that same day! I am not a cyclist myself but my boyfriend is. He likes the store a lot, but there have been a few occasions where I went here to buy some gifts for him and I couldn't find what I needed. The walls seemed kind of bare, the place empty. When I visited, they only had one rack of the spandex shirts. Very limited variety. read more

We have brought our bikes in for tune ups before. Fair prices, polite employees. But today took my kids bikes in for kick stands and pedals and a bell. They installed everything while we waited and for everything the cost was only $40. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff. read more

I was having a problem replacing my M2S rear wheel spokes. They were having trouble getting replacement spokes so they made the 4 spokes I needed. It did take more time then they thought so they did the work for free! Wow that's great customer service!!! I did give them $20 for lunch. Thanks for the great service. read more

I went to this location to buy my brother some pedals and a fender. As I was leaving my big toe struck a lip in the floor I'd say it's 3 inches high and I just had knee surgery and it felt so painful I had to stop walking and waited about 30 sec. And limped out to my truck. I called the shop after this happened and later the owner called me and offered to give us the parts for free and our money back plus a nice helmet for my brother. The next day I could barely walk and now this injury is impeding my physical therapy. I called Rick the owner and said that the offer he gave me was to low. I asked for 5k and a bike. He laughed at me and said he would give me 200$ I laughed at him. At the time I didn't have $ for urgent care. Now he tells me not to call him and I'm not welcome at his store. I am in a lot of pain and can't bend my toe or put any weight on it. I'm on my way to get an x-ray at urgent care in Tukwila. Rick will not pay for my medical and says it's my fault. So now I will proceed with small claims court. read more

I had a bike assembled there. The pricing for assembly was $50-$75 which I found reasonable. The customer service there is excellent. They carried my unassembled bike from my car and into their shop. The turnaround time was FAST! The bike was done the next day, a day earlier than they said it would be ready. When I picked up my bike the gentleman working there was kind enough to help me put the bike on my bike rack. They were nice guys providing good service. Highly recommended. read more

They know their business and stand behind their work. I brought my bike in for a tune up and after riding it for an afternoon, took it back for some tweeking of the gears. Bought my bike here several years ago getting free tune ups as part of the deal. Turns out the tune ups are worth what you pay for them. Had to take my bike elsewhere to actually get repaired. Even with the offer to pay for the repair my concerns went unheard. The staff blatantly ignored my requests to diagnose the bike's problems and just did a half- assed job on the "tune up" and returned my bike to me. The amount of problems they disregarded is staggering. I think all they did was toss my bike in the back of the shop for three days and then return it to me later without even looking at it. read more

1st time to this LBS. Really small shop, not much stock of anything unless you're looking for bicycle accessories (locks, lights, bottle holders, gloves, etc). Brought my road cycle in for a tune up. Told them that there was a clicking noise from the crank area. Got a call from them stating that it is likely the bottom bracket and recommended a replacement that they would need to order due to limited stock in store. Honestly, I'm not even sure if they even tried diagnosing the clicking noise and just assumed it was the BB. Charged me $50 for a BB (Sram/Truvativ Team GXP Bottom Bracket) that MSRP's for $40 and charged $20 for labor. After picking up my bike and going for a spin around the neighborhood the clicking was still there. Took it into my garage and looked at the bike myself and noticed one of the pedals was a little loose. Took the pedal out, cleaned the threads and reinstalled, no more clicking noise. Also not even sure if they true'd the wheels as the front wheel still has a good amount of wobble but the guy reassured me that it was within 1mm with his eyeballs. Was expecting a better experience as I could have looked over the bicycle myself to diagnose the clicking but why waste my time when I could hand it off to actual bicycle mechanics? Apparently that wasn't the case here. read more

Its a small local bike shop wth a good variety albeit small inventory of items. Friendly staff, awesome owner, staff knowlegable about most things. They could benefit from being more familiar with mountain bikes. They offer weekly Tuesday night group rides, which are fun. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, they are the only shop in the area. The bad experience being that I tried 3 times to get a kickstand. First time they did not have any in stock and would get a shipment in 4 days. I waited and came back days later to find they had forgotten to order any for their shipment. Second try one week later, kick stands in stock, but not for my frame. They offered to special order one, so I placed the order, form filled out and was told they would call in about a week. A week and a half later with no call, I stopped by to ask about the order only to find out the order was never placed. Gave up on the part through them. Will use them for service only if absolutely needed. read more
