Good customer service and very honest. My bike didn't need a full tune-up and Rick charges me only half the price!

Stopped by looking for ideas for my bike and found this nice little bike shop in Kent on First and Smith.

I called today because I was gifted an older Trek road bike that I got serviced somewhere else. I…read morehad called previously because I was unsure on where the serial number was located. As I shared the serial number over the phone, the staff person was not able to locate it in the computer. The rationale was that if the bike fell between a timeframe of specific years there was no record. The associate appeared helpful and listed the colors of the bikes by year and suggested I go on eBay or another site I don't recall to look up the bike. Now, there's nothing wrong with the over the phone service and the staff seemed like they did their job. Having worked in customer service and sales, I've had associates take down my name and number, do some research, and locate the a skew and model. I've also had associates ask me if there was anything they could do to help further make the customer experience stand out? This could be, come in the shop. I can talk to you about the warranty to see if anything is covered, or feel free and send me pics via email to send to corporate. The funny thing is, recycled cycles pulled up the picture of the bike, eyeballed the year and gave me price of the worth in 5 minutes. Even though they didn't work for Trek they knew their bikes. As a potential Trek customer, I hope that staff are trained to know about the history of the products they are selling and not just the latest models. I hope this can be a learning opportunity at Trek to please try a little harder as this experience needs a tune up.

Her bike arrived unassembled and I needed to try to get this Put together as quickly as possible. She was very accommodating and told me to bring the bike in and they would get it taken care of for me. Drove in on my lunch hour and Kim got me in right away. She went to work on the bike herself and was able to get everything taken care of in under an hour. Outstanding and amazing service and very friendly and easy to deal with. I can't stress how professional they are, and they cater to the cycling crowd. They don't just fix bikes. They compete as well. Thank you very much for everything!

Others are correct. SBS deals only with retail Bike Shops, but as a consumer I still found their…read moreservice to be tops. I worked with Chris at SBC, by email, and he provided me all of the answers I could possible need. And thanks to that info I contacted my local bike shop, gave them the SKU# of the bike I wanted, and had the bike ordered within minutes. By the way, a great tip if I may. I searched for 20 inch bikes for my 6-year old boy for days. I wanted one with gears, hand brakes, and skinny to medium tires, and most of all, I wanted it to be LIGHT WEIGHT. Well I found it, the Torker Interurban 20" boys bike. Weighs in at only 19 pounds, probably the lightest bike out there. And it is sharp looking, made especially for kids. There were 3 other bikes I found, but finally settled with the Torker.
