FRIENDLY, AVAILABLE, AND QUICK! They were also knowledgeable and proceeded to make sure my inquires about helmets, and gear were answered. Ethan pulled the ladder and got helmets off the top shelf for me for me to try. I was so static I came back the next day and bought another helmet. I've been to a few cycle gears and this one is a stand out. Alex rang me out and helped me sign up for a RPM to save 10% on my purchase! It worked out really good. I own on coming back because I need a new tire on my bike and they mount tires here. I'm so excited to be a part of the local community here. read more

Cycle Gear Plano is great overall but their front desk staff tends to be overwhelmed with customers and can struggle to juggle them or respond to online pickup orders, but when you have their attention, they are very helpful and knowledgeable. I try to order online when possible and ship to home but it's fun to go in the store and look around. read more

I had a pretty frustrating experience at Cycle Gear. I ordered a tire that came in as expected, but when I went to pick it up and have it mounted, I was told it would take an additional 24-48 hours just to get the tire put on my wheel. Meanwhile, there were multiple employees standing around behind the counter not doing much, which made the long wait even harder to understand. For something that typically takes about 30 minutes at most shops, this felt unreasonable and inefficient. I ended up taking my business elsewhere to a shop that could actually get it done in a timely manner. Disappointing experience overall. read more

John was such an amazing help. Picking Audio and getting my first helmet. 12/10. Thanks for the phenomenal help John! read more

I've bought HJC helmets there for Amazon prices. It's nice to try them on before purchasing. Good help too. A nice place to browse the aisles. read more

Employees are all rude and make you feel stupid for asking for anything. They have short temper, no patience, and are just flat out rude to customers. Not to mention their store sells terrible products with very limited selections. I'd recommend you go to Moto Liberty where they have way more option and employees willing to help you. It's worth the extra drive to not have to deal with blatant stupidity and arrogance. If there was an option below 1 star, we'd be there... read more

I was helped by a gentleman there. He helped me choose and helmet and wasn't shy on letting me try on any helmet that I was interested in. He did try and upsell me, which is good on him trying to hustle, but in the end I left with a new helmet which was what I was looking for read more

If you tell these guys that you're not interested in the 1 of 2000 special edition carbon fiber helmet they'll forget you ever walked in the door. I've been personally at the Plano location a couple of times and a few inquiries over the phone with the same results, very poor customer service this last time I was looking to buy a Jacket, boots, gloves, backpack and jeans, since I'm not familiar with some brands I was asking questions primary about sizing and the guy made me feel like if I was asking stupid questions, of course I had to stop right there and leave the place at that moment, long story short I purchased all my gear overseas and unbelievably got my package in 2 days with cero issues, very happy with my purchase I will spend my money where I can get the service and attention needed read more

I have been visiting the Plano store for several years now to replace tires on my vintage bikes. I restore a bike every 6-9 months and truly appreciate their wide selection of tires and prompt installation services. Thank you !! read more

I came in looking for a new helmet. I explained what I was looking for and the sales person kept suggesting the most expensive option. I wanted to try on differnet brands but that was a no-go. number of bell helmets avaialbe to try on in the style I was looking at = 2. number of sedici in the same style = 20. number of arai = 20. The had every size/color combination on the wall for one brand while only 2 (wildly disparate ) sizes of another brand. I know that bilt and sedici are their brands but overstakcing the wall with just one brand make it look like you are stocked when you are not. I very much got the "we have the exact helmet you want in stock as long as it is XXX brand and XXX style."sure we list that helmet and size as available on the website but we don't actually stock it.... just order it and you can try it on then, after you are out the money. read more

My Experience was not good. The original sales person had me try on a C3 all they had was a 1x and a 2X however, I wanted a C5 he said that they fit the same so I would need extra large. I ordered and when I picked it up there was two different people and the one behind the register keep smarting off to me about what was included with the helmet. His statement was whatever is in the box! Nice answer real customer service at its best. They did not assist in anyway way. So I tried on the helmet and it was too large and the person behind the register accused me of tearing the box which was already ripped. Anyway I returned the merchandise and what the person did not realize if would have saved the sale was three words lets exchange it. I would have accepted that. But their rudeness in the lewisville store was beyond my willingness to do any further business with that store. read more

I know many businesses are doing their best during COVID-19, but attitude come on? I left the store literally 10 minutes ago. The guy who was helping me every time I had a question he looked at me like I'm stupid, making some weird faces like "what are you talking about woman?" I was ready to buy but because I have manners and luckily they weren't taking any cards,I left the store without saying anything to him about his rudeness and terrible customer service! I own a business and there's no way I will ever allow any of my employees to treat any of my customers that way. My husband is a good customer there, that is the only reason I decided to go there. But thank you anyways! read more

I just want to start with Chris, a sales associate I assume, was extremely helpful in helping me and my friends purchase new items that fit perfectly. Chris was able to fit our budget without making us stress about cost. Not only did help us with that, but also taught us new things about safety and the equipment we had purchased that we didn't even know about. read more

If shitty service was an art, this place is run by Picasso . I been a loyal cycle gear customer for over 20 years, the service I received today was beyond bad. I literally spent 40 minutes looking at dirt bike helmets , watched the sales rep spend 20 minutes talking to another customer looking for a helmet who came after me . When the rep finally got around to speak to me it was like he couldn't be bothered answering my questions. So I took pictures of the tags of what I want and walked out and will be ordering online from another shop. You don't want my money, you don't have to get it. read more

Due to my poor experiences and yelping, Kiersten T. from Cycle Gear's holding company, COMOTO HOLDINGS, reached out to me for more information. I have stated my concerns to her, via the requested mode of communication and have not heard back. This communication was sent over 1 month ago and I still have not heard anything back. I have also sent followup messages to Kiersten T., and I have received any responses in return. I have returned to the Plano, TX Cycle Gear, and the manager's lacking customer service coupled with his presentation for seeming to possess a very high distaste for being in a customer-facing role, is still presented by him. Aside from anything else, all the negative reviews seem to be the only consistency one may expect from this organization and location. Caveat emptor!! read more

Don't come to this store often but as always they never have what I'm looking for and their prices are rigged. I try to call and never answer. I'm never coming back and glad I don't spend a dime with them. Revzilla is awesome and they will have my money and looking to buy some boots from them. BTW their gears have damage and will not replace. read more

My wife and I came here one afternoon after buying motorcycles. We came here looking to purchase gear, clothes, helmets, and headsets. We thought a specialty store like Cycle Gear would offer a more personalized experience but we were wrong. There was one other couple in the store and 4+ employees but none seemed interested in offering assistance and actually avoided eye contact. We looked around for 20-30 minutes without being acknowledged, became frustrated and finally left. Fortunately, there was a dealership down the road who gladly took our $2k. We drove quite far to come here so they get one star and we won't be back. read more

Good stock of useful items. However, they play games with prices. Items are priced on the web, and available to order there and pick up at a store. But if you just visit the store to buy, labeled prices are higher. You have to ask to get the actual price as shown on the web. read more

Almost all of my visits to Cycle Gear have been positive. I've gotten a helmet, plenty of tires, and a couple jackets as well. Most of the time the customer service is pretty helpful and friendly, although one time I got an earful from the service guy for using fix-a-flat because he had to clean up the nasty mess in the wheel (I had no choice, needed to plug the leaking tire so I could bring the bike into Cycle Gear). Prices are pretty fair, and they usually have some good sales as well. Make sure to get on their mailing list, because they'll mail you coupons and also announce certain after-hours sales in those mailers. read more

Like Sean, most of my visits to Cycle Gear have been good. The staff is pretty good and the selection is better than what you'd find at a motorcycle dealership. Prices range from decent to occasionally great, and my friends like having their tires replaced here. Shopping experience aside, I had a phenomenal customer service experience with them. I bought a pair of boots and, after a year, the zippers went bad on both boots. I'm not tough on them, they were just poorly made. The manufacturer refused to do anything, but Cycle Gear gave me full credit towards a new set of boots. Unbelievable! I wouldn't expect them to do that again, it was a major exception, but it really made my day. That alone has brought me back to their store several times and I'd say I've spent about $500 there since that time. Selection is the main reason I take a star away - it's good but not outstanding. There's only one other shop in the area I'd recommend higher, thus four stars. Worth a visit! read more

I walked into a cycle gear today for the 1st time and it'll be the last time. I wanted to purchase a pair of riding gloves and riding boots however I walked out empty handed. Not one person acknowledged me or asked in the 20 minutes I was in the store did I need assistance or had questions. At one point I was the only person in the store still no one spoke to me. Poor service. Do better. read more

I went there to replace a visor on my helmet and to get a replacement screw. Jim got me fixed up quick, fast, and in a hurry! He found the visor for my helmet, got my replacement screw, and when I mentioned my speaker in the helmet was blown, I was taken care of again! He explained the Bilt helmets and the warranty and I walked out with a brand new helmet!...with the new visor I purchased in place and ready to go. Problem solved! Great customer service! Fairly good service in person, in the shop, but bad on the phone. I've been in this shop several times and I give there in-store rating about a 3.5 Stars, but on the phone they are a 2 at best. Very dismissive on the phone. read more

Awesome store. I'm a new rider. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. They are priced exactly like RevZilla, so why wait for UPS when you can have it today read more

Iv came there a few times, this last visit will be my last. They had my wheels for 7 days an i kept calling to see if they were finished installing my tires. Every time they'd say we're doing it right now or they will be done today. Finally the seventh day I went an picked em up. They hadn't even taken the tires off the rims or touched em. All they did was say sorry about that an walked off. Freedom power sports in mckinney did them while I waited an they charge ten bucks less. I will never be coming back to this store again read more

I'm a 50 year old female. I went in around 1230 on a Saturday in full riding gear 3 salespeople at cash register 3 customers including myself. I stood in front of the wall of helmets, holding mine for 5 minutes as I was ignored by the 3 male salespeople, walked around the store, went back to the helmets because I really wanted to try on a modular helmet in my size to buy. Nope. Ignored. Called and talked to the manager and all he could say was he was sorry and would talk to his guys. So much for taking the advice of my son and husband to shop there. Maybe if I had different equipment they would have taken the almost $600 I was willing to spend on the helmet I wanted. read more

Watch for sales. They have some great deals during sales. The people at the store are always friendly and helpful. I recently bought some brake pads there. The clerk offered to double check that I'd bought the right pads. He checked and I had the right ones. Went in to exchange motorcycle helmet that I had purchased for my wife online. We were greeted immediately by John who took the helmet back and proceeded in helping us in finding the correct full face helmet with the proper fit for her. Since she is a 2X small it wasn't easy but he took his time in finding the right helmet for her and never seemed rushed or frustrated and believe me she tried on "several" helmets before finding the "right" one! While there we decided I needed one as well and he helped me in finding a great one. He then told us that we were to receive a Sena headset for both helmets since they were part of a sell campaign they were having. He took the time to install the units in both helmets, giving us instructions on using it, directing us to the Sena website for further instructions all while still answering the phone and helping out others. John you were great and we appreciate the help you gave us!!! Thank you! read more

What happened to you guys? I bought my first gear when I started riding several years ago. Selection was vast and staff were friendly and fun. Went to get gear before we left for a trip. There was an okay selection of boots, but the people working there are very unfocused. It's like everyone has ADD. We had 3 different guys do our checkout... because we had a lot of stuff? no just 5 items, but we told one guy the boots were supposed to be $49 and showed him the ad, he said cool. And walked off because someone else asked him a question. Then another guy started checking us out, and walked off to get a hat, the third guy charged us full price for the boots and had to get the first guy to come back to verify that they were $49... it's not like it was a secret coupon... this was in the flyer on the table, the website and on the phone app. Very disappointed in the staff... read more

Staff was super helpful and friendly. They even exchanged a two year old helmet for me!!!! That was awesome!

-I dropped off a wheel/tire to have a new tire mounted. They promised me it would be no big deal and they would have it done the following morning. I showed up late the following day and it was still sitting off to the side where I had left it. I questioned why it wasn't finished and they had no good reasons. I asked if I could wait and somebody mount the new tire right now. Henry told me he had "mounted his fair share of tires today and was too tired to mount anymore". No one else was willing to do it either so I picked up my stuff, chewed his a$$, and left. -They also have a habit of not answering their phone. -The store is often messy. -Most of the guys they hire don't last very long. Its always someone different working. -Not sure where the manager is, never see them. The positive things are they have a good selection of riding gear and have good prices. read more
