I honestly wasn't that impressed with this location. But if you're shopping for a bike this is the place to go, they had so many options and unique colors I haven't seen. Esp the light blue and orange/brown one I saw on the road kings (the bigger bikes). My reason for coming in was to grab some tees to take home to some family members that ride and the graphics on them were slim pickings. Whoever chooses the designs should have a bit more versatility to them, the graphics on them weren't my taste but maybe in Texas that's what they like. Also for the men's tee the back design was 80% all the same on the tees, unlike the women's which did have more of a variety. Kids section and accessories was very small as well. Staff was super friendly with that southern hospitality. Also if you checkin on Yelp you can get a free tee with the purchase of two Harley's tees. Bought two used bikes in December of 2025. Everyone couldn't be nicer, before the sales, not so much afterwards. One sale was perfect; the bike was delivered on time, and the DMV paperwork was received as expected. The second one is a disaster. Two months later, I still have no DMV paperwork or a title. I've called and stopped there several times, only to hear different "excuses": it's the DMV, it's the holidays, it's the weather. Finally got a straight answer 3 weeks ago, they lost the title. No communications or status as to them getting a replacement title. I've owned several bikes in my time, and this was the WORST dealership ever. I finally had to file a complaint with DMV. read more

Purchased brand new low rider st. Had the store install cam and tuner right off the bat. Store told me the warranty is void if they do any work to the bike...and they did the work. Picked up the bike and the tachometer didn't work, there was a tapping in the heads, the primary cover was leaking, and it ran terrible. Service department told me that's just how it was with the thundermax tuners and sent me on my way. Cost me thousands to fix their poor workmanship, lack of attention to detail, and lies about warranty. Go somewhere else if you value your bike and the work performed on it. read more

Sales department sucks! I am a Chapter member who volunteers to support Black Gold events and promotions. Recently, I purchased a 2023 trike with a trade-in. I did not shop around because these are my friends and I "trusted" they would take care of me. After I signed the deal I found out that I over paid by thousands. This type of price gouging is sickening especially when people you know are the ones fucking you. Any other Harley shop I talked to said the sales manager was being dishonest. HD of Dallas was offering an $8K discount on the same bike, I got $0 discounts. Lessoned learned - sales managers don't care what you have done for their shop, never buy a bike from Black Gold, always cross shops dealers. When I brought up my concern to the store manager, he told me to take the survey and did not help me at all. The survey results go back to him, lol. What disrespect! I drove up from San Antonio to purchase a pre-owned bike from them Nov. 4, 2022. It's now Feb. 2, 2023 and still no license plates. I've called numerous times and they say they still haven't gotten them. Absolute BS! They blame it on the holidays, bad weather, phases of the moon, whatever! There's zero chance Colling County Tax Assessor is this slow in getting plates out to dealers. I'm certain they dropped the ball on their end, didn't get the paperwork there in a timely manner, failing to follow-up, total lack of customer concern. Absolutely the worst case of customer service I've ever witnessed. No concern for the fact that by the time I get my plates they'll be 4 or more months old! Took my bike in for new tires and a 10K service. Of course they found other things. $3000 worth. I was assured a number of times that it would be ready Thursday. Even with the additional work. I had a bike trip on Friday and i repeatedly told them that. Of course it wasnt ready. The weather Friday morning was going bad so my fellow riders left to beat it and i sat here and waited. I got the bike at noon and trailered it home due to rain. The next morning, a day behind, i realized they hadnt bothered to put the rider backreat on. So i had to go up again. These guys are pretty much incompetent. I was in the market for a test drive and possible new bike but i will take my money elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. read more

Purchased a pre owned 2021 Sport Glide last month, a week after purchasing the bike while installing a new horn notice frame damage on left down tube. The damage while somewhat minor was still significant enough where a dealer would not be able to sell the bike. Called my salesman regarding the issue and he referred me to Brice Torres sales manager. Sent pictures of the damage and Brice asked me to bring the bike over for him and his service manager to look at. After looking at the damage Brice and the service felt that either a roll bar or that someone had clamped something on the bike causing the causing the damage. The service manager pulled the clutch cable over it and joked all set. Asked Brice about returning my money or possibly swapping it out on a similar bike at a similar price. They had the same model one year older with about 3k less miles. Brice came with an offer that would cost me 5000.00 more dollars, he would not even give me what I payed for the bike i had bought a week earlier on the trade plus was charging me another 1300.00 "Dealer Assembly and Set Up fee which I paid on the previous bike. A dealership selling a bike with a damaged frame is unacceptable and feel I gave Black Gold to make this right. Will be dealing with this issue another way, sad I have to go there. read more

Even when I was in Houston he was flexible with me about dropping my bike off with him and picking it up 2 weeks later. He is by far the most knowledgable I have run into. I moved to the area in January when it was too cold to ride my Harley. Mine is a 2007 and I am seriously thinking of trading it in for a 2014 Rushmore. I hesitate because I am not riding as much here as I did in SoCal. I have been to the dealership several times to drool over the new bikes and the sales staff there is always very helpful without being pushy. I loved taking the grqand kids here for the Christmas party. They had a great time with Santa and enjoyed siging Christmas songs with the band upstairs. The dealership is nice, clean, well stocked, super location, their Sales staff is exceptional but sadly their service department plain sucks, they will see you standing there patiently but wont bother to acknowledge you, bantering with fellow mechanics, or their computer, its like they just dont care. They should behave like their sales and finance people if they really want this place to shine. The deal is not complete, just because you sold that bike and rang that bell, the real service comes afterwards, when a customer has a probem and just wants to bring it in from an hour away, to drop it off for repair, would be nice to be greeted in sufficient time and then to be informed of the wait, blah blah blah, I swear the service guys talk down to you as if they are doing you some great favor, i get anxiety dealing with this dept....its like why did you bother wasting their time, looks like they may have some other job besides helping customers fix their bikes. I just hate to bring in my bike for service, just hate it, but they are the closest one within an hour. God dammit, loose your Diva attitudes, the customer is important and pays your salaries. I've been riding Harleys for almost 30 years and I am used to friendly service throughout the store and service department, but this Harley-Davidson of Dallas Dealership located in Allen, TX is OVER THE TOP! I am especially impressed with Shane and the Service Department as a whole. For example, Shane helped me as a go-between working directly with the CFR Muffler company. He got them to ship me a new muffler under under their guarantee (even though CFR has a history of being difficult to work with). The muffler was there ready for me when I took my Road Glide CVO to get a new tire. Shane and his crew are great. They will take the time to get things done right. Bought an additional motorcycle and left my older one for services A week later and after calling several times was told my master cylinder "fell apart" when they took it off. My $350 problem? It was working when I brought it in. Then a week later I come to pick it up, as instructed it's not ready. Have to wait another hour or come back tomorrow. BS lip service if you ask me. I won't be back. EVER. Not Even an apology! Took the new bike to Mavericks Harley for service even though Harley of Dallas in Allen said they inspect and get all bikes up to spec before they re sell it Rear brakes after 1 week. Way to inspect! It's been said that Harley Davidson owners are among special people when you are a Harley owner. I never really got that until this dealership made us not ONE but a TWO Harley family. Our experience with Dan Finley in buying our first bike was so smooth we bought our second bike with Jason Darst (someone we went through motorcycle certification with) within a month of joining the Harley family! Every single person we dealt with was amazing. We couldn't buy a Harley without a few custom pieces! Jason Dykman in parts did a great job in making sure our money went to the best products our money could buy and had the service department get them installed quickly. Last but definitely not least, you can't forget the gear! Gloves, jackets, helmets, shirts to show your support for Harley!! Amanda Gonzalez is the best lady for this task!! She went beyond the call and exceed my expectations by not only listening to my personality but having custom pieces picked out for me, even ordered specifically for me, and had it perfectly sized and waiting for me to see what she'd picked out for me! worst experience ever - if you take your bike in for collison work, please find another place. i brought my bike in with front wheel damage. It needed a new custom wheel and tire... litterally that was it. HD received my bike first week of Oct 2021and the insurance check on Nov 1st 2021. I was told by the collision manager all parts were NOT on back order and would get all ordered Nov 4th Monday. Said 4 weeks for everything to be in. I called him a few days later and he expressed (lied) to me all was still good and everything should be in by end of November. I called to get an update (which seemed to annoy the manager) 3rd week of Nov... he said "when he gets updates he will let me know". Basically dont call me ill call you. He got an update when i called again, because i heard nothing and it wss end of November... that when the other story kicked in and now a tire and wheel was on back order after he supposedly ordered it. So now it would be 2nd or third week of Dec 2021. I called him the middle of Dec and he said the only update was on the tire... it would be a Jan 4th arrival due to shortage and no update on the wheel. I got online and bought the tire myself for 1/3rd the cost and took it up to Harley 3 days later. I didnt hear anything until Jan 6th 2022... because i called and left a not so nice vm. Mr collision manager then called me sounding a little pissed off and said the wheel could not be ordered because harley didnt have an account with sinster wheels (another lie)?? He didnt know this months before... and it didn't make any sense since this was a insurance claim and not a special order item through the parts department. So i asked the collision manager what the next steps would be since my bike had been with him 31/2 months... he proceeded to tell me he could get the wheel drag speciality in June... yes June 2022! I asked Mr collison manager would it be easier for me to get the wheel myself? he said yes... which told me my bike had no priority for 31/2 months. Mr collison mnager then said I could pick the bike up... I told him i would do that. So when i arrived the bike was sitting outside with the tire laying next to it, the panel barely hanging off where he had the trickle charger hooked up and not one of the managers or the collison manager, came and said a word to me... Not a sorry for holding my bike hostage for 3 1/2 months with little to no updates, lieing to me repeatably, and providing the worst customer experince i have ever encountered in my life. I bought my first harley from this dealership... but i wouldnt buy a poker chip from this place now. arrogance and lack of customer support seems to be the way of Black gold... should have stayed HD if Dallas... you got to big and cocky for your own good. If i was the owner I would be looking for a new collision manager, and start changing the culture back to being customer focused, treating people as you would like to be treated, and understand without the repeat customers, Black Gold doesn't exist. The good news - I ordered the wheel , had tire and wheel installed in less than 3 weeks. The custom wheel took a full 3 weeks to build due to all the bs shortages, etc... and its on two wheels again. I bought all my parts from local dealer (ALLEN) Tx.. trying to save money I looked on Craigslist for a mechanic who knew Harleys... this is my rant... took my bike to him to get new bars and wiring installed, wiring was to run through the bars not on the outside. On my way home my right side bag fell off and slide down the toll way.. plus the wiring started to short out.. major issues!! This dick took my 450$ and disappeared yep got scammed!! They do not care about you. The dealer sold for third parties a bike that I was in the process of buying. I did down payment and get bill of sale. The bike should be a gift surprise to my wife that fallen in love after months looking for a specific profile that fits to her pilot. They promised that the bike would not kept for sale after that payment, so already mine. The seller (Anthony) asked me to come back just 2 days later because of his day-off. After these two days, we have been exchanging emails for several times, including the manager, Tyler, and we had scheduled to go to the dealer to finalize the purchase and sign the financing agreement. On the same day at night, near 10pm, somebody else left a voice msg on my phone, apologizing that the bike had been sold to another customer one day before. Run from that store. They do not have the slightest care with their customers. If someone wants to pay more than you, they sell. Now I have lawyers handling the case. read more
