I had been eyeing a used BMW R18 Transcontinental on Cycletrader at Hopper for months that I was interested in. I am one of the highest mileage riders in the BMW Club in Texas. I love BMW Motorcycles. So I sent in a request to Hopper Motorcycles asking what condition the bike was in & their bottom line on price. No response so I sent the same message in & still no response. I don't believe they liked it because I was asking for a bottom line price. A little lower price is a lot better than sending a bike to the auction. I ended up buying a used one i found on Cycletrader that was out of town. Even though I have to fly out, get a Uber to a hotel, spend the night in a hotel & then Uber to the dealership the next morning & then ride the bike home (I would have rather purchased local than going thru all of this). Called the service department shortly after opening for a straight forward tire change with rims and tires off the bike. Whoever answered says "They are on the phone right now and will call you back." Took my info and details. Guess what? Never got a call back. I wouldn't have wrote this review if they would have just told me their not interested in this particular job. Wasn't expecting to be 1st. Just acknowledged. This is a review of the SERVICE DEPT at Hopper's Cycles.   Let me not bury the lead here.  The guys running service at Hoppers Cycles are amazing.  David and James are amazing in their knowledge, experience, communication, and the mere fact you can tell they give a xxxx about you and your bike.   I brought in my motorcycle to Hopper Cycles three times over the past month.  First for a full service inspection, maintenance, & oil change.  Second for a brake light & brake caliper replacement.  And 3rd for an exhaust install.  EVERY VISIT was consistently top notch service and price.   I can't recommend this place enough folks.  This is your go-to. read more

Their communication is worthless, I texted them and messaged them on ebay, no response from either. And $600 above the listed price on their website for add on fees? This for a m/c they advertised at $6,000. What the? This is worse than some car dealerships!!!!! I won't shop here. Plus I read a bunch of negative comments over on ebay too. I was shopping for a Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide for some time now. After get pre-approved and picking the check up from my bank on Friday, I had narrowed my search down to two locations, each with multiple options to choose from. The first place I went was a HD dealership, after standing around waiting for someone to help me, I asked about a bike in stock, was up front about not wanting to purchase same day, and was given a run around about pricing and availability in addition to being pressured to purchase that day. After leaving I was texted a price sheet for one of the three bikes I inquired about. After stopping at HD I went down the street a few miles to Hopper's. I was meet by Christian when I entered, he was helpful and knowledge. I was allowed to look at bikes, sit on and start them up with someone looking over my shoulder. When I was ready to have some questions answered Christian and the GM Mike where helpful, knowledge, and worked diligently to win my business without any pressure to buy anything. I can't say enough good things about my experience buying a HD Fat Bob from Mike and David. Messages were always answered in a timely manner, and the paperwork was very clear about all costs. This has been the worst experience ever. Our sales person was very nice, but did not honor his word in the end. Bought a bike with a broken turn signal took 4 weeks for them to order one. But I sat there for two and a half hours for them to replace it, lied to me and told me they were replacing both of them came out with a new one and it was upside-down. You can see the screw on top. The other turn signal is still the old one. If you would like to purchase a bike with a truthful experience do not go to this place. read more

I've been getting my bikes ready for the weather and came across this shop about a month ago. Needed some wiring done on a shadow, and a tire changed on my Harley. There are three words that describe this shop ... HONEST, RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE. The professionalism and high standards this staff holds themselves to, is second to none. From the initial call, I was clearly told about their services and mechanics from David the Shop Manager. This guy does not skip a beat. Amazing Communication throughout the process, and came in LOWER than my initial quote. (Honesty, like I was saying before.). David immediately introduced me to James who would be taking care of my bikes. I'm old school Italian, so it's known from birth .... Your family comes first, and You ALWAYS need a good mechanic. Hands of Gold on this man. James re-wired everything, did a complete carb run-through & clean out, and fixed my handlebars & tires... My horses have never ran so Strong!!. I'm a newbie, this was my first time buying a motorcycle. I have no friends or family to help guide me. That can be extremely intimidating no matter how much you look online and try to find the perfect bike for you when you go to a dealership you feel lost. David helped me get into a bike perfect for me and not only that went above and beyond. He let me put a refundable deposit down until I took my class to make sure I was safe and this was something I really wanted to do. When I was done with the course and went to go pick it up I was fully prepared (and nervous) to take the bike to the street but he gave me the safest option. He offered to have it delivered to me in fact insisted. Free of charge. (I'm young and not rich so that's a big deal to me) Felt like it was never about the money to him. Walked in expecting annoying salesman but CJ found the bike I was looking for with a reasonable price just a little outside of my price range but reasonable. After a test ride I was disappointed and came back asking for something with a little more ass. CJ found the perfect bike but it was it was way out my price range. Him and the finance people worked out a sweet deal where I was practically robbing them. They gave it to me with the price that I requested. They wanted to see me leave with a bike and so I did. Dropped my bike off to have a fender repair and some performance work done to my motor. Talked with advisors when dropping the bike off. After being told on multiple occasions over a month and a half that my bike would be on the next free lift. I receive a message that they wouldn't be able to do the work on my bike. Would never recommend this terrible company to anyone to ever buy or have anything dome to any type of vehicle. Didn't even offer to do anything to make the month and a half I was without my bike right. If there was an option lower than 1 Star I would pick it. read more

I am a cynic by nature and also profession (public defender) and I approached my first motorcycle purchase accordingly. Despite my best effort, I could not identify any aspect of my dealings with David at Hopper Cycle Center that was anything but stellar. Nothing ever set off my alarms. I found both David and his finance department to be scrupulously honest and direct. No upselling, no half-truths, no hidden fees--just a bad ass bike at a fantastic price and outstanding customer service. Also, I needed some aftermarket work on the bike to make it fit my height and they did it all for a very fair price and did an awesome job--check out the black handlebars and 14 inch, pullback risers. And the handlebars are not even the most impressive part of the body work--the crash bar I ordered (my first bike and all) wouldn't fit with the extended foot boards despite the supplier's specs to the contrary. So, Hopper Cycle Center's body shop created a custom bracket to make it all go together and David did not even attempt to increase the sales price to account for the extra time they had to put in. If you prioritize a big, impressive looking dealership with all the bells and whistles, then Hopper Cycle Center is not for you. But, if you want a bike at a great price and no-pressure, honest, top-notch service all the way around, then give David a shot and see if your experience is like mine. read more
