Right off the bat, 0 stars. I came in with my boyfriend, we both need new riding gear. Right when you walk in, it says wait, due to social distancing, we did, but no one even acknowledged our presence. Since the limit is 30 people and there was only one other customer in the store, we ended up going inside. No one offered to help, and the employees just stood behind the counter talking shit about the previous customer the entire time. I came in to drop some serious money on new riding gear from helmets to boots and not one person offered to help or even attempted to help us. Do not recommend. Stay away. read more

It's nice to have a brick -and-mortar store nearby to that has moto gear and which isn't just a dealership where gear is marked up super high. It's important to be able to try on gear rather than make blind purchases online rather than have to go through the drawn-out process of returns if, say, a helmet doesn't fit. I only give four stars because selection is somewhat limited at this location, but the staff at this store are always pretty helpful. Sometimes, though, they're not knowledgable about particular gear or other riding disciplines. It's nothing to hold against them. read more

Wasted two peoples time. Not only the customers but the tow driver as well. Asked a lady if I can get my tired installed in my bike. She said they open at 10 so I get there at 10 flat for them to tell me they don't install. This is the 3rd time I've gone in and every time I enter, the entire staff greets me. I had called the day before to see if a few items were in stock and Jason checked without hesitation. He put a pile of things aside for me to pickup the next day since I had been out of town and was sort of on a time crunch. I felt bad to have him basically do my shopping for the couple of things I needed but like I said, I was on a tight schedule and needed to get in and out and he showed no signs of annoyance by me. The next day, when I came in, Dylan helped me out and even made a few additional suggestions for me and educated me on some stuff about what I needed on my bike in order to ride in the areas I was headed to. I didn't feel pressured into buying anything and Dylan even suggested to check online for more inventory on what I was looking for. I've been to this location several times, and the staff is always very friendly. I recently came in to purchase a motorcycle cover, and they were very friendly and have honest suggestions. This store is great to pick up some quick tools or items for your bike. As a note, if you're looking for top-of-the-line performance gear you might not find it here. They have a couple items from Dainese and Alpinestars, but very very few. If you're looking for the best race gear, I'd recommend online shops or specialty race shops. Got my first Harley and needed gear. My husband went to a place in Fullerton to look for a helmet for me and the guy there was like whatever. We came to Cycle Gear and as soon as we walked in the door we were given great customer service. Kaden was very attentive and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations and answered all our questions. They have a great selection of gear. We bought a Shoei full face helmet and BIlt leather jacket. Definitely recommend them. read more

I can't say enough about the good customer service I have received at Cycle Gear. Everyone is always willing to help, and goes above and beyond to make sure you get just what you need. Ben helped my fiance get fitted into a new Shoei Qwest and a new riding jacket. Her safety is more important than mine, so it was really nice to see Ben take the time to make sure everything fit right for her. He even took the time to transfer her Sena Bluetooth unit from the old helmet to the new helmet, even though they were closed! I would highly recommend giving these guys your business! read more

Need a helmet or just a tire, Plenty at Cycle Gear to admire. Oil, chain lube, and chemicals galore, Look, the Alpinestars jacket I adore! Lights, hardware, and motocross gear too, This place has it, good prices too. Cycle Gear also has friendly and knowledgeable staff members minus the one time they tried to sell me the wrong type of battery, luckily I checked the fit before leaving. Pretty nice shop. I stopped by here earlier today because this is the only place I could think of that carries Engine Ice and that's open on Sunday. I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking around because I had a lot to take care of and I was burning daylight, but it looked like they did have a nice selection of riding gear, helmets, and parts. One star!!!.. I went in on sat, looking for some gloves and jacket, and lo to my surprise there were four boy's there hanging out by the cash register playing grab as# with each other!!. Not one of them said hello or can i help you sir?. Not one of them!. Yes i had cash in hand and ready to purchase a helement and jacket. It was like i was pulling teath from a five year-old. Then again thay never seen a real biker from the looks on there faces. What a shame Because i went over to Harley Davidson and bought a jacket and gloves. Then again im not thin and ride a dirt bike. This place has everything a motorcycle rider could want... whether you are a sport, cruiser, dirt rider. Everything from parts and accessories to apparel. They have a large store front so they carry quite a few items. If they don't have it then simply let them know and they can find it for you in one of their 10000000000000000000 page catalogs. They will order it for you and have it shipped within a few days at no additional cost, how cool is that? I dont know what other discounts they give, but for you military folk take advantage of the 10% off. read more

This is the place that my MSF instructor suggested I visit when I told him I was looking for motorcycle gear. When I walked in I was amazed. On the are displays of helmets from a variety of manufacturers (Shoei, Arai, KBC are the brands I can remember off the top of my head), jackets, gloves, pants, casual clothes, parts, and accessories. Make sure you look around for items carrying a large red sticker. These are items that for some reason, have been marked as clearance (reasons usually include defect, or custom-ordered for a customer, but they didn't buy). It's an automatic 20% off, but after 2 months, it becomes 40%, and after 4, 60%. I got a spectra gold visor for my RF-1000 for $25, and a pair of Dainese SF non-perfed pants for $200. It was a STEAL. read more

They are the BestBuy of the motorcycle world (this is a bad thing). Prices are understandable given they are a large brick and motor store where you can check out and try on a ton of gear. I feel the prices on tires is not bad at all either! Worth visiting if you need to review and touch a lot of different products to determine what you want, but not if you already know. Except for one guy I spoke too, most of the staff seemed to be morons. One guy told me they didnt make a tire in the right size for my bike. I pointed outside the store and said "Thats funny because my bike is sitting right outside with that tire in that size right now". What he MEANT to say, I discovered, was that the tire was discontinued under that name. I like browsing through these locations, but if your know what you need, online retailers are the better option. read more

Friendly staff, I agree. But my review is on the products they sell. When I walk into a cycle shop I want to see some cool looking gear! and a variety of it. That store was a mess and it smelled. Everything was so cluttered. They had alot of cycle shoes and boots which was cool but their helmets were so-so... Most of them were the expensive Shoe! ones and they didn't even have enough sizes to go around. Their in-house brand BILT is made out of have cheap crap. My husband bought the gloves and Mesh Jacket and the threads started unraveling... and he had a hole in his glove after 2 days of riding to work. So those 2 things were returned ASAP! My hubby bought a SevenZeroSeven helmet which he is happy with--thank goodness. Truthfully, we only came here to use our MSF discount! but it's not even worth the time and gas to drive from Pasadena. I LOVE BERT's and will stick to Bert's Mega Mall.. I love to look at their bikes and nice gear. read more

Just went there yesterday after getting my first bike, ninja 250. Had a good selection of helmets but more than that John helped me pick mine. He was patient but prompt. I am deducting 1 star for the price. Although it is similarly priced to other affordable motorcycle gear shops but you can find cheaper online. However, they do have a 7 day exchange policy which enables you to exchange your gear if it doesn't feel comfortable which is quite common as all of it needs to be tight enough to be snug but not uncomfortable. read more

Been here a few times already, buying jackets, gloves, and boots. The employees seem nice and knowledgeable. One Saturday morning they seemed to be short staffed and there was a bit of a wait, but I wasn't in a hurry so it's all good. People kind of look down on Bilt stuff (their house brand), but in my experience (two jackets, boots, and gloves) it's good quality for the price. Basic everyday riding gear, not going to win any fashion show awards or last a lifetime, but as riding gear goes, I recommend Cycle Gear and Bilt. I would suggest they take more of an active role in organizing, hosting and supporting local motorcycle people and activities, I mean something more than their "Bike Nights." read more

A good store that provides parts, gear and accessories for a cheap price. That's how I think of cycle gear as a whole, and I'm happy with what I've been getting there. Since they cater to all brands of bikes and style of riders, expect generic and be prepared to have to work it a bit to fit you or your bike. If you wanted a perfect fit, feel free to go pay top dollar for brand names or at a specialty store. They do carry some brands, mostly in the gear section and their house brands aren't bad at all. That being said, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, they'll look up as much information as they can for you and are quite helpful. They also have events ranging from bike nights to fundraisers, so yeah they're a part of the riding community in many ways. read more

These guys take care of their customers. I bought a pair of riding pants and over a year later was in the store and telling them about how they fell apart and the asked me to bring them in... I was actually on my way to ride so they where in my car at the time and they gave me what I paid for them back and I rode the next morning in a brand new pair of riding pants. I come here often to get various little stuff for my bike if I need it fast. Generally just oil, and some other misc parts. Jojo's a really cool guy and most of their staff is friendly and helpful. They don't stock a lot of bike parts, especially if you have an older bike which is a bit disappointing. Treat cyclegear like your local autozone or pepboys for bikes, as that's how I see it. They might not have the most high quality stuff, but their stuff works in a pinch if they have it. They also give a one time 15% discount I believe if you passed your MSF course. I'm saving mine for a big order. Would be 5 stars but they lack selection of products, and most of the time the products aren't organized and scattered about. read more

Customer service lacks sometimes. Decent service once you have their attention. PROS: Good specials on a regular basis. Store is pretty well stocked and clean. CONS: They sometimes greet you when you enter and sometimes not. If they are helping another, they will chat to no end even if they are done actually helping that person. These guys have a lot of cool gear at reasonable prices. I just happened to stop by last week to get a new helmet jacket and gloves to use for my Motorcycle Rider Training class, and they helped me choose the right helmet that fit me. they also showed me which ones had the best comfort and safety features. they also made some suggestions for after I got my Motorcycle Riding License. I recommend this place to anyone who is interested in Motorcycles. Note. Yelp shows this place as being closed on Sundays, but I was there on Sunday at 3:30 and they told me they usually closed at 5 pm. But alway call before you go. just in case. read more

I specifically went to cycle gear to purchase a new helmet. I had previously been to other motorcycle stores in the Orange County area and has no luck. I am currently new to ridding a motorcycle and was not familiar with helmets at all, I was greeted and asked if I needed help right away by Max(someone should give him a pay raise!). He was extremely helpful and patient with me when helping me decide on which one to purchase. I was in there for about 30 minutes trying on multiple helmets and sizes. He even took time to explain to me the features on each helmet and didn't pressure me into buying anything I wasn't comfortable with. This store is probably about what you would expect if you are female rider and you don't want to buy your gear from a Harley Dealer. I am in the market for pants, and they had only two types of textile pants for women--one in a brand I'd never heard of and another in a brand that I don't trust the quality. The guys working were nice enough, however, and they had what looked like a good selection of men's gear and dirt gear and actually quite a few different women's jackets, but I wasn't overly impressed. I was actually rather UNimpressed by the knee protectors for sale in a box on the shelf that were obviously used, had dirt on them and one broken hinge. HUH? read more

First time bike just passed my MSF safety class and went here to get all my gear. I did a lot of shopping and looked online but even online prices couldnt compare to the deals they had here. BIG thank you to LUCAS! (assistant manager i believe) He spent a lot of time with me making sure i get all the correct gear for me. Not only that he gave me a lot of tips to quickly get started in the biking world. The staff is really cool, layback and there to just help.. I dont think there another store like.. I been to the other cyclegears and they arent as friendly as these guys. Pro: -Friend Staff to help select gear for you! -Prices: i do a lot research couldn't find better price on their specials Cons: -You wont get there full attention at times. but understandable there only 5 guys and 10 people waiting. Been here quite a few time and have always been helped by nice staff. I have yet to have a bad experience here. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high. There is a Walmart across the street but and Walmart does sell motorcycle oil, so you can get the oil filter here and the oil at Walmart. Of course, the real question is if Walmart sells the correct motorcycle oil for your bike. read more
