I don't understand why the reviews of this CVS are so negative. It is a fairly new location, and always the cleanest CVS I've ever entered. Seriously, without fail--it's almost creepy. As someone who formerly worked at a different CVS, I was impressed and wished I had worked at this one instead. It's super organized and well lit. There's off street parking out back which is convenient and rare in Wellesley. The employees are always helpful and friendly, if not overly outgoing [which I like better, honestly]. That applies to both store employees and pharmacy employees. I've had some nightmarish pharmacy experiences at other locations, but have not had any hiccups since I switched to this one. I've been going here for about a year with no problems. Of course, it *is* CVS, so everything in the store is, naturally, overpriced. read more

May2023: 4 : I could recommend this location. I arrived here in the evening hours to pick up a few things. I was surprised to find eight people waiting in line for a pharmacy pickup. The front signage of this specific CVS is noticeable from the main street in front. This entire area is extremely busy with vehicle traffic. There were very few pay parking spaces in the front of the store that I could see. The entrance of this location opens up to the whole store. I did have contact with the pharmacist who advised she would have to contact another CVS and send me there to pick up the remainder of my family member's prescriptions. I shopped for a few items while I was in the store waiting for the final prescription to be completed. The store is clean and well organized. read more

The only positive thing I can say about this CVS is that there is a parking lot in back. Earlier this week, I stopped in for three things and walked out with none. The customer restroom is awful, the store sells cleaning supplies so surely they can't blame its condition on lack of supplies? And if the public one is like that, what is the condition of the one for employees? Finally, don't attempt to make a left when exiting the parking lot; just turn right and then swing around at the next traffic light (Glen Rd) to turn around. read more

This store is a NIGHTMARE!!! I received the wrong medication. It was the right drug but with someone else's name on it. I didn't notice the error until I was at home. The frightening part was the drug was triple my dose! I shudder to think what would have happened if I had not noticed the error. Thank the Lord. Always super clean. Nice and friendly staff! Pharmacy can be busy at times. But sometimes we just need to be patient.

This is a pharmacy that prides itself on inefficiency and rude customer interactions. There is typically a 15-20 minute wait to pick-up prescriptions, and that wait time seems to be increasing. While the line is 7 people deep, they continue to run just 1 pick-up counter instead of shifting multiple employees in the pharmacy to handle the customers waiting. The female who typically handles the pharmacy pick-ups is rude, abrupt and not helpful; it's hard to believe CVS would place someone in a customer-facing job, who is the antithesis of "customer service". Purchasing items from the non-pharmacy portion of the store is another adventure. The cash registers are typically not staffed, and the self-service kiosks at the front of the store are always closed. That leaves 2 kiosks in the rear, and invariably 1 kiosk is not working and there is a line for other one. I have used this pharmacy since it opened, but I will find a pharmacy that values my business. read more

This is the most horrible CVS- most pharmacist are rude and not helpful at all - I waited 2 hours to get prescription filled after saying it would be ready the day before. The pharmacy is absolutely the worst. They don't answer the phone. There's always a 15 min line to pick up - they'll have one person at the register and a bunch of others just standing back there while the line builds up. They're never friendly or apologetic for the wait. read more

This is now my go-to pharmacy for vaccines and prescriptions. The head pharmacist is professional and kind. The pharmacy assistants are helpful. I have worked in the medical field and I understand there can be a lot of pressure, but they do not rush and give every customer they attention they need. read more

Be careful with your prescriptions! The pharmacist gave my mom a psychiatric medication instead of the antibiotic that was supposed to be prescribed!!! Extreme negligence, and my mom ended up hospitalized. It was pretty bad considering the interaction with her heart condition. Oh and are they going out of business? They're shelves are so empty! read more

Website says pharmacy closes at 9pm. I got there at 8:02 and they just closed the screen. I asked if I could pick up my prescription that was in the basket filled and ready for pick up. The woman was very rude and told me the system shuts down and they can't take any more. I tried to show her the website said they close at 9pm and she said she can't control that. This place opened last Sunday, and didn't really let anyone know (save for a small construction paper sign). When the CVS in Linden Square opened, mailings went out with coupons and lots of cool stuff. So, yea, they could have handled that better. I'm thrilled to have a CVS so close to my place, just wish they were open later than 10PM. Of course, since this is Wellesley, and this place shares real estate with a soon to be opened 55+ community (because we always need another one of those!), that will never happen... :( read more

Terrible customer service. My prescription was sent to another cvs in error. The boy at the counter tried to assist me by calling the other cvs. The woman in charge snapped at him and said, "you can't be on the phone, take care of the other people in line." I asked what I could do? I said I was willing to make phone calls. She acted like she did not hear me while she scrambled to bag things. I was left hanging and I was being ignored. I called my MD to have the prescription cancelled and sent to this location. I remained in line to let them know. She took much pleasure (as evidenced by the smirk on her face) in telling me that was not the right thing to do because the script was already in process at the other location. (Would have been nice if she offered or demonstrated some sort of critical thinking skills or guidance on how I could resolve the issue) She finally smiled when she told me I would likely have to pay out of pocket because the other cvs processed the insurance/payment. She made it crystal clear with her fast talking, huffing-puffing, body language and lack of eye contact that she was completely just annoyed with my presence. This is not my pharmacy of choice. I am seeing a Dr for a temporary condition. This Dr is near my place of employment. This cvs is next door to the Dr and on my way home. My ride home sometimes takes and hour and a half. I live in RI so the script has to be filled in mass. 2 more months and I will never have to step foot in this place ever again. There was a 5 day delay getting my prescription. read more

There is no pharmacy in the area that under-delivers like this one. The employees are very helpful and always pleasant. They are not the problem. But for whatever reason, for the past year, no one in my family has been able to easily pick up even the most common medication. Even HOURS after receiving a text that the order for medicine is being processed, the medication isn't ready. I've been offered "partial orders" several times. It can be days before even simple asthma medications are in stock. It is RIDICULOUS. I cannot stress enough how unprepared the pharmacy is to meet the needs of its customers. If you are in dire need of a medication, this is NOT the place to get it. read more

Terribly rude customer service. Asked several people for a specific recommended product and they were dismissive and annoyed. Witnessed one employee tell a customer to get away from her even though she was wearing a mask and easily 6 feet away. She was just trying to ask a question but the dark hair CVS lady was in a heated discussion about something irrelevant and she lashed out dramatically at the poor woman. Shameful. read more

I moved down the street in early January and was excited to have a pharmacy so close to home. Unfortunately they dont carry much, and if they do carry it they almost certainly dont restock items. I have a preemie at home and its frustrating walking there to find out they dont have formula, wipes or certain brands every other cvs carries. They also have no ramp in the rear entrance. They have an ancient wheelchair elevator that i wouldnt trust putting my baby in her stroller in there. Total disappointment, especially for this main street in a clearly affluent area. read more

Nice big, conveniently located CVS store that is hardly ever busy. The problem is the equally large parking lot behind it that services both CVS and the Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Outpatient Surgery Center is now watched like a hawk by the landlord's towing company Negoshian Towing which is looking to make lots of money by towing your car and will harass you in the parking lot. If you are in there to drop off a prescription and are told to come back as it will be ready in 15-20 minutes, the fact that their parking lot is empty and it's the middle of the day makes no difference. The employees inside CVS know about this horrible practice of their landlord as I found out upon my return to the store while waiting for half an hour for a prescription refill and being harassed in the parking lot by the towing company. So if you use this store's parking lot, just expect that their towing company will take a picture of your license plate, and then come up to harass you, rudely, when you come back to your car, without first even asking why you are parking.
