This is not my usual cvs, but I sometimes I am in this area and it's more convenient. I decided to try the drive through for the first time because I didn't feel like going in. I wasn't sure of the procedure but I had opened my cvs app and it showed a number to tell them. I told the guy and it seemed to work. He asked me a few questions including did I want a Covid or flu shot. I said no several times but he kept asking. I'm not sure if cvs requires staff to do this, but one "no" should suffice. If I'm going through the drive through it's because I don't want to come in, especially not for a shot. The pharmacist came to the window to ask about the prescription, because I've had a reaction to it in a different form in the past. I very much appreciate her concern and that she took the time to make sure I could use it for this instance. I've also liked the guy who helped me in the past because he has been quick and efficient. I just wanted to get through quick yesterday. I'll continue to come to this cvs when I'm not near my home cvs. read more

CVS don't deserve such low ratings. I've never walked into one that's dingy. Shelves are always stocked. And ALMOST always, the staff is super friendly, whether that be at the register, on the floor, or at the pharmacy. This one was no different. I needed a gallon of distilled water and walked in to find an immaculate store. After wandering around for a few, I finally asked where to find the water and the cashier was happy to walk me right to the aisle! When I went up to pay, she asked for my rewards card. It appears mine has expired and so has my wife's, and rather than make me sign up to realize there was no immediate benefit, she checked the item first with hers, which I was so appreciative of since my whole crew was sitting outside in the car. Again, I don't know why CVS seem to always have these ratings, but they don't deserve it. In an age when retail is really going the way of the dinosaur, prices aside (because you definitely do pay for convenience), CVS is still doing it right. read more

CVS 635 is my local pharmacy so I'm in here a lot for prescriptions, and just about everything else you can expect to find at the corner drugstore. I've dealt with everyone in this store, from the pharmacy to each of the store's employees. Every...Single...Person...is exceptional and phenomenal. It's not me who usually need extra help, but I've witnessed time and again great care, kindness, and patience with every transaction. I've only had great experiences or better every time I come here. I've witnessed Brian at the front counter be so very kind and patient with everyone he has dealt with, especially the little old ladies who are fussing about their coupons and membership details. I ALWAYS get great service at this location, both at the pharmacy counter and the front checkout. On Sunday the 12 of April the pharmacy tech was exceptionally pleasant, as Dave always is, and the front counter clerk also was amazing. The only drawback not enough shopping carts. My experience is a negative -10 for the CVS Pharmacy at: Store ID: #6368 635 S MELROSE DR, VISTA, CA 92081 The (super long) wait to pick up medication is absolutely frustrating and I'm moving my prescriptions from this CVS ASAP. For one of my medications, I was shorted 60 pills, so having to return to the pharmacy, and calling the pharmacy, to picking up for the second time, my total combined wait time was 1 HR and 15 MINUTES. This time does not include my drive time! Do you have this much time to spend at a pharmacy? Not me. Come here sometimes to pickup general hygiene and beauty products. Service is hit or miss. There are days where the staff are absolutely on point with customer service. Other (most) days, they could be indifferent, cold and unfriendly. The shelves at this location aren't as well stocked as other CVS stores. Oftentimes, things are out. Luckily, there's another CVS a mile or two down the road. read more

I was nervous about returning to this pharmacy after two years, in the past, the staff (mostly) had some serious attitude, probably from understaffing. And reading similar reviews didn't calm my nerves any. But just now, 5 pm on a Friday night, I could not have been more pleased with the pleasant and helpful pharmacy staff. They seemed to have at least 5 people on duty, including the drive thru being open. What a relief! Whatever has happened to improve this condition so much, I really appreciate the efforts! read more

My issue was not with the pharmacy but with a coupon my wife sent to my phone. I am in my 70's and not that adept at opening such things. I was referred to Steve the manager. There was a time I was in here every day, sometimes multiple times a day. The staff (Corey, Janice (if I remember correctly), Karen) are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to help you out. They also remember you. That being said, there could be some improvements, especially in the pharmacy. The doctors and techs are great. They've called other locations when they were out of a medication. But they are overwhelmed and short staffed - too many prescriptions to fill and not enough bodies to handle the workload. I can not even imagine how much crazier it's going to get once those new apartments are completed. read more

Was sent the wrong result from 6 months ago. 1 hour on phone with lab service number provided, had to repeat child's and parents name 5 times, she kept promising it would show up on my email, never did. Most likely test lost. Had to cancel trip abroad to have 6yo visit 80 yo grandparents see them for the first time in 2 years. Will not be recommending or sending prescriptions to CVS anymore. read more

This CVS is by far my favorite store. I love the friendly atmosphere and patience of its employees. Kyle, Nathalie, and Carlos are great people. They really love their job! They're always friendly and available. I can't express enough my gratitude for their help and patience every time I visit their store. They make me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. An hour to get your prescription ready here. Really? You call in and they tell you it's filled. I get here and nothing is ready. This is horrible service. Avoid this place. I also heard a the cashier/pharmacy tell a customer that they had to wait a few hours for a prescription. I mean come on! It takes 15-20 at most. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I called from a doctors office to try and get clarification on a prescription for a patient and spoke with AZEB (pharmacist). She was extremely rude. Talked over me. Didnt even listen to what I was saying. I had to repeat everything 3-4xs on the phone. She was clearly preoccupied and didnt bother to pay attention to what I was requesting. I stopped going to CVS two years ago because they messed up every single prescription for over a year. They were sending my prescriptions to other people. I was picking up other peoples private information, they messed everything. I switched to a different pharmacy and everything's been fine except they can't take paper Scripps. One of my doctors through Work Comp requires paper strips. Cvs refuses to fill!!!! That was the final straw. I will never go to a CVS even if it's for a soda. I just had the best experience. I purchased a lipstick from a different CVS but the color was too bright for me. Wondering if I could exchange with a different color of the same lipstick...even though I had opened it... I was a bit nervous. Then KELLY greeted me with a big smile and I knew right away who to ask. I asked her for some advice on which color to choose this time since lipstick colors can be really hard to determine. Girls would know. Anyhow, not only did she help me like a friend would, she had communicated to the cashier that I was doing an exchange so check out was also quick and easy. This is the closest CVS pharmacy to our house. I need to go to the pharmacy several times a month and the staff is always friendly, helpful and patient. They also do a great job of calling me to see if I need any of my prescriptions that are waiting for pick up. This pharmacy is pretty dependable and they fill prescriptions pretty quickly. *sigh* After years of not shopping at CVS due to poor experiences with a few locations in the midwestern US (mainly pharmacy issues), I moved across the street from this one and decided to let bygones be bygones and keep an open mind (although I did not transfer my prescriptions, so this is strictly a review of the main store). There are a couple good employees at the registers and I've been happy with prices on things we regularly buy (beverages, diapers, etc.) - they were hovering around 4 stars, and I was falling in love with the convenience - but I've had issues with management that finally drove me out again. The first occasion was when CVS started promoting their curbside pickup service in their emails. So I placed a curbside pickup order, and when I arrived at the store to get it, the manager (who was new, but still) didn't have a clue how the program worked, couldn't pull together the handful of items I had ordered while I waited, and didn't know how to apply the promised discounts. Fine, I walked out without my order. After awhile of things being fairly normal, other than occasional mispriced items that required a return trip for an adjustment, stock in the wrong places, and frequently broken freezers (melted ice cream, anyone?), I noticed CVS was charging me $.10 CRV fees on cardboard beverage containers (in this case, coconut water). If you live in California, you probably know that only glass, plastic and aluminum are CRV-eligible, so there is no way for me to get my money back for recycling cardboard drink containers, which is the whole point of the CRV program. I went back to CVS for a refund on the mistake and got the same incompetent manager, who wouldn't provide a refund or any solution to the issue. "It's just the way it's coded in the system." Well, duh, genius; someone needs to FIX it in the system. He suggested I call CVS corporate and that was the extent of his helpfulness. You probably think I'm a whiner and this is no big deal. For me, it was only $.20, but how many hundreds (thousands?) of dollars will that add up to across the state of California? How much have they stolen from you? Buyer beware, and check those receipts carefully! This is indicative of a corporate culture that cares so little about their customers that they will openly steal money from them. And when someone points out the error, management does not care enough to even TRY to fix the problem, let alone apologize or find some other way to make it right. Shame! I won't support a company that doesn't properly train its management personnel and empower its people to provide even a basic level of customer service. I'll be going out of my way to shop at a competitor from now on. read more

I live very close so it's my go to spot. Always have had a good experience. Corey is a stand out; great guy and one of the reasons I go back. If my fiance hears me grab my keys and asks where I'm off to the response of "Gonna go see Corey real quick, need batteries" is 100% understood. Rewind to three years ago- then girlfriend at the time is showing off her grill skills, accidently goes a bit to hard scraping with a wire brush, said wire brush flings a tiny piece of metal into her eye. Holy hell. She is in serious pain and this shit needs to get fixed, quick. I rush into action, she doesn't want to go to the hospital (we really should go babe but okokok stop yelling) so haul ass to the CVS, burst in tell the tale to the stunned dude at the counter (my buddy Corey). He dead stop looks at his line and says sorry folks, rolls me right into the eye care area. He snaps into triage mode, just starts handing me flushes, fluids, whatever else. I'm just standing there like "yes, surely one of these will work. Rad." We both look at my arm load of gear. He pops a couple more things into my arms and we run back to the counter. I cut the line, debit pay, and I'm out. I hear him apologize to the guy I cut and gets a pleasant "no sweat" in return. Corey could have easily said "aisle 5" and fuck it. I would not have batted an eye. I mean who really helps out like this anymore in a store? I still have almost an entire medicine cabinet devoted to eyeball injury. Turns out though we did have to hit the E.R. So 4 hours later a kinda-doctor numbs and removes a fairly good size piece of metal jammed into her eyeball. But Corey is my bud and I'm a happy ass CVS shopper. We always chat if he's not too busy and I like to give him tickets to the Fair when it's in town. He's over-the-top earned my business. read more

If you're using your extra care coupon for your order make sure to NOT have Francisco as the cashier. I came in and used my 32% off entire order, and he decided to only pick items that were less expensive to use it on. I looked at my receipt after and saw that I should have gotten $11 off my entire order instead he only took $4 off. The 32% off can only be used if you buy an item at regular price which I did. Instead of making a scene, there was three people in back of me, I decided to call customer service and they looked at my receipt on their computer and saw that the cashier Francisco had only chosen specific items. They gladly gave a $7 extra bucks to use for my next purchase and I will make sure Francisco is NOT at the register before I buy! read more

I would give them 0 stars if i could. The pharmacists & ASSistants are absolutely useless. Not only did they contact the wrong doctor to fill my prescription, which prevented me from using my NEEDED medication. they continually harassed me monthly to pick up my filled prescription... Which I never ordered. I called them and told them to stop calling me as I never ordered my prescription. I have since moved and tried to fill my prescription and they cancelled the refills and put it in an invalid status. I told the pharmacist that the idiot cancelled it instead of canceling the phone calls. Her response, yeah I guess he misunderstood... Besides being on hold for over 7 minutes, The pharmacist ASSistant kept giving me excuses instead of providing a solution. Terrible customer service!! Never will I shop at CVS. read more
