This is the CVS location off of tTelegraph and Victoria. It is located on the corner of this plaza right off the entrance of the driveway. The store is surprisingly big and everything is organized very clearly and you know exactly where to go. One thing is this location does not have self check out kiosks like most other places so you do have to wait in line for somebody to check you out. Luckily, once they saw a line build up, they were able to get more team members to come in and open up another register. They were able to get me out a lot quicker, so thank you for the awareness that they had. Thank you so much for being so on top of things. I have never been treated like crap as the pharmacy cashier and pharmacist treated me here. My dad was discharged from the hospital because there were too many covid patients. He needed the pain medication that kept him from going back and forth to the ER. The pharmacist and cashier man decided it was a great time to lecture ME, while my dying father waited in the car, and the time ticking away since it was late and they were closing soon, about how the doctors know better and I don't have the "right prescription written on the 2021 RX pad". I AM NOT THE DOCTOR!! Practice some kindness. You're horrible humans. Oh and I asked them why they were touching pills with their bare hands. That's unacceptable especially during covid times. Husband and I stopped here last night to try to find long-handled Q-tips. Hunted around and finally asked an employee and were told they didn't think they had any but we could try in the places we already looked (where the regular Q-tips are). Store is on the smaller side, but clean and well lit. Isles were stocked and organized. I would have given 4 stars if I had found what I was looking for and not walked out empty handed. I had to get a prescription filled, the experience could not have been worse. One person on register, a huge line, then the cashier couldn't help me, then they needed to process me again.... I was there nearly 45 minutes and I left without my prescription because I had an appointment which I then became late for. These people were understaffed, and did not apologize for the inconvenience of the wait. They are slow, and did not acknowledge how long it was to be waiting. They need more people on pick up for prescriptions, it was ridiculous. Now I have to go back tomorrow morning to get my prescription and I am not looking forward to it. I will probably be late to work and it's infuriating. A truly horrible experience. read more

I know it's rather odd to review a store such as this. I usually only review restaurants I eat at. However, I really prefer this CVS over the others in the area (on Ashwood, Kimball and near Ralph's on VIctoria). This CVS is one of the largest I've been to, and their parking lot is huge and I never have an issue with finding parking. The store is huge too, and I love the open layout of the items. Other CVS's seem cramped inside. This one is different. I also prefer this location due the convenience of the other restaurants nearby (the Sushi and Frozen Yogurt place) plus it's near the only Hallmark still left around. The service has been OK each time I go, except for the random times when the line is huge and they have only 1 checker at the computers. This is more the norm I find: Long lines and no employees around. I don't blame CVS as much for that though. One negative (not the fault of CVS at all) is tons of kids loiter and hang around here right after Buena High School lets out. I'd recommend getting your shopping done late morning so you can miss all that. Again, one of my most favorite CVS's around! read more

Wow. I'm impressed. I stand corrected with the pharmacy. I came to drop a prescription expecting to go home and come back later for pick up. The pharmacists attending me were SO helpful. They told me the prescription would be ready within 15 mins. From the time I dropped the prescription and I picked it up, it was under 14 mins. They even asked if I needed help with how to take it since it was a new med. kuddos to Sophia, Richard and David. This is my go-to pharmacy store for quick things I forgot to get, such as toilet paper, deodorant, qtips or cold drinks for my son who does Tae Kwon do next door. My cashiers (especially Miriam and Randy) have always been pleasant and efficient. With that been said, it's true that when there are only a couple of cashiers scanning products, the lines slows down if there's a few people in line. I am hoping with the renovation this place will get more upgraded equipment so checking out customers can get faster. The pharmacy itself has proven to be a nightmare. They take forever to check you in or even if your order is ready, they take forever attending you. They always seem to be busy on the phone with other patients or trying to fix a computer problem. Again old systems. What I like is all the coupons I get at each transaction. Just get a CVS card and start saving. It all adds up. Just check the expiration dates, I had a couple of $10 off and they both just expired . I had to return a couple of lipsticks I did not like and they gave me no hassle at all. Picture center is a hit or miss. If you're lucky to get a kiosk that works, they can have your pictures done quickly, even if you process under the "hour" selection. However, if you get a sucky kiosk you'll just end up wasting time. It always seems to be one kiosk that lags. Eenie, meenie, mynie, mo kinda thing. Hoping for better experiences after the renovation is complete. They are getting a 3 1/2 because the cashiers are nice and helpful and I think it's technical problems that have kept this place from the higher ratings. I'll keep y'all updated read more

This place has a huge parking lot which is super convenient since the location has zero street parking. It also has a drive thru pharmacy, but its closed on Sundays which kinda sucks. Other than that it is your usual CVS with everything you need. Large makeup aisles which even have tons of Neutragena products that I love. Everytime I come however everyone is using the self checkout and there does not seem to ever be anyone at the counter checking customers out. Really weird. And kinda of a hassle since there is always a line for the self check out too. Also check the expiration date on products because many I have found to be expired. read more

The pharmacy at 5900 Telegraph Rd. CVS is the worst customer service I've seen in all of Ventura County. The pharmacy clerk as well as the leader ship. Pharmacy management is obviously overworked and understaffed. I came to them today with a discrepancy in a prescription from a doctor, after consulting with anthem Blue Cross, the issue was reviewed that the pharmacy was under issuing the asthma medication causing the insurance coverage to not cover the Rx. In a respectful attempt to explain this to the clerk I was instructed that the pharmacy wouldn't research the issue. I informed the clerk that "I would potentially be leaving their service and going to a different pharmacy if they weren't willing to work out the lapse". The clerk informed me, "I'm okay with that". I asked to speak with the pharmacy manager upon her response. The clerk put me on hold for 15 min and then came back on the line to inform me that she reviewed my file and that the last dr had sent in an RX for a short supply and that was all that they could do. I explained that Anthem had stated that they were only covering the 90 supply and that I still needed to speak with the manager. I was informed by this clerk further that the manager was administering a vaccine and couldn't speak at that time. As she told me this I was parking my vehicle in the parking lot. I walked in to the store while I was on hold and past the empty vaccination stand. There we're no customers in line, no vaccination customers waiting in the 15 minute chair after vaccination. There was one person dropping off a script to the male technician. I watched the manager lift the phone and take me off hold and I informed her that I had walked into the store. She met me at the counter and continued to speak to me with the same distain that the clerk had shone just a few moments prior. I explained the problem that I was experiencing and that I had spoken with my insurance and found out that the problem was in the daily dose being issued by her pharmacy. Then I explained that the clerk was more that eager to let me walk away as a client instead of looking into the problem further. She said she was standing next to her and agreed also to let me walk away as a customer...That they were not going to try to solve the issues from the pharmacy perspective. I'm personally finished with this store. The work force is obviously under staffed and under a lot of pressure. The leadership is in no better condition. Their customer service is in a shambles and this is a recipe for mistakes. I would never trust an establishment that chooses to treat its clientele with such disrespect and disregard. read more

Don't even consider doing any photos here. They take your order and even when you provide them with a phone number to call if there is a glitch, they tell you "Yeah, sorry but our machine isn't working right not." Their photo machines are never working. And god-forbid you want a Christmas card or a holiday greeting. Don't waste your time. read more

I stopped here on a Sunday (3/11/12) while on vacation to fill a prescription. Yeah, that's right. I was sick on vacation. And yes, it sucked. The service was perfect. I use CVS to regularly fill prescriptions. I received a message that my prescription was ready, I called to confirm, and the person who took my call said yes my prescription is ready. I arrive and, surprise, it's not there! David thank you for being so unhelpful and unsympathetic, telling me you don't know what to say, and that you have no solution for me. I do appreciate you saying "wow, you're really in a jam." Even your associate seemed annoyed with you. I won't mention her name because she was obviously trying her best and you couldn't seem to care less. read more

I came into CVS with a written prescription for pain medication, post surgery. When I dared to ask a few questions about the medication, the pharmacist shut me down very rudely and in general treated me like a "drug-seeker". This is WITH a legitimate prescription in my hand. They then turned me away and I went to Wal-Mart pharmacy, where I was treated with perfect customer service. Don't go to this CVS pharmacy if you expect to be treated in a courteous fashion. read more

I went into the pharmacy today to fill a prescription for cough syrup. I felt miserable and the pharmacy tech was helpful and sweet. But they took an hour and a half and still the pharmacist had not filled my prescription. I was given no indication that my prescription would take that long to fill. Even after standing in line twice and speaking to the pharmacist it still took an additional half hour. (I finally gave up exhausted and went home.) All it takes is one moment of communication to say we suggest you go home if they aren't going to prioritize customers waiting in the store. A little communication could have went a long way. This may be one of the worst pharmacies ever. They will call and tell you your prescriptions ready, and then not have it. My yield for picking up a prescription for myself or my family is about one in three visits. Of course, you always need to wait in line for 10 or 15 minutes to be told your prescription is not ready, or they can't find it. Go to a small pharmacy where they care - like Cabrillo pharmacy in Ventura. read more

This place stinks. Literally. I've been in twice where there was a bad smell as soon as I walked in. The photo girl said at first that it was coming from outside, but I pointed out that I had just been outside and it didn't smell. Then she said it was coming through the ventilation system, which was taking in air next to a sewer. Then she said they had the back door open, and it was from the restaurant next door. I don't know what the real answer is, but they really need to fix it. Then I was frustrated that they didn't have my photos and couldn't see in their online system where the photos were, they couldn't track them. Turns out they were at a nearby CVS, but they couldn't tell me that from their system. This was a terrible experience. read more

This location gets 4 stars for being open 24 HOURS. It was a Savon location but CVS took over last year. The store hasn't changed much since CVS took over. I love the convenience of 24 hour pharmacies...you never know when you might need a diet soda or some candy. It's a larger location than Longs and the other pharmacies in the area. read more

A letter to management: hire more people for the pharmacy!! I was told the pharmacy has been "swamped" for a few weeks and my prescription that was called in following my doctors visit would take a few hours to fill. While this prevented me from becoming upset with that employee because it was apparent they were overwhelmed, I shouldn't have to wait that long. The service here is lacking and it looks like management/corporate is responsible! I was told I'd get a text when it's ready, that was over 5 hours ago and I have not received a text or call. I'd also called in a transfer of two prescriptions, they had no record of it. I received excuses about how it's not usually done for 24 hours and if you call on Friday that can delay it. I checked my call log to verify I had called the right pharmacy and it was the right one and it was Thursday morning I called. Every person I worked with was relatively helpful, but you can tell they are frazzled. It's 10pm at night and I called to check status. My call was answered but I was put back on hold for over 10 minutes. My prescription is ready, but I never got a text to say so. read more

Great CVS. It's been here for years since it was saveon drugs. I like getting my vitamins here however sometimes when you buy something a 40% off coupon prints out and it's always on what I would have bought it with. Otherwise great inventory, good service & they are always open!! read more

Thank you for calling me Richard to notify me that my sons meds will need to be ordered, and therefore will take extra time time to be filled . This is in direct contrast to my previous experience with the pharmacist who substituted my subscription without notifying my physician or me he had done so. Then attempted to justify to be that it was ok to do so, and speak to me as if I was uneducated about the matter at hand. And that neither what my doctor ordered, nor what I requested mattered, only the what the pharmacy decided was easiest & most profitable , had the most validity . I tried so hard to not write this review, yet after several attempts to speak with employees (who I thought were being attentive), I realized they simply were just trying to get me out of their hair. It is no secret that I have had major disappointments with the customer service here in Ventura. Born and raised in L.A., I became spoiled. Restaurants & Markets have their issues, yet when you depend on pharmacies (and pharmacists) to prepare, and finally get your prescriptions right, if only for ONE time, in 7 years, needless to say you have to question the training in this facility. I have noticed that both KIMBALL & TELEGRAPH @ VICTORIA have a very high turnover rate, therefore you are forced to repeat first names, last names, dates of birth, bra size, etc. over and over, and over again on the same visit(s). Responding to questions being asked by the pharmacy cashiers does get frustrating when you have to repeat yourself. Maybe I should send them a TEXT Message before I arrive. Totally disappointing, and at this point, I will not anticipate anything changing. Make sure your prescriptions are correct before leaving either one of these two facilities. read more
