I stopped here looking for inexpensive nail polish and they delivered. I found some cheap polish for 2 for $5. It feels like this store may have a theft problem, as many of the beauty supplies were behind a door or individually locked... but other than that, the store was clean enough and well-lit. I used self-check-out and also got a little help from the young woman behind the counter, who was polite and professional. Parking lot was small but we found a space. I am shocked that there is a worse pharmacy than the Rite Aid which closed, but wow. I've filled three prescriptions here, and have been in the store for an hour each time. Every single prescription has had an issue. They also hassle me about using GoodRX For my fourth visit: there was an issue again, and I had to go over to the consulting desk (as always) where he fixed it. However, just as he fixed it, and literally (I'm not exaggerating) all I had to do was pay, they closed for lunch, and someone came over to shut down our conversation, and told me I would have to come back later. I explained that all we had to do was pay, and this only took long because of their mistake. She rudely didn't care and just kept repeating "we are closed for lunch, you'll have to come back" like a broken record. Which, not only was this insanely bad customer service, lacking any sort of accountability for their issue, but what an infuriating way to be spoken to. The above was the last straw, and with her last "you'll have to come back later", I told her I was never coming back. But hey, on the bright side, I was out of there in under an hour! read more

Staff was completely oblivious to me struggling to look at merchandise behind where they stacked boxes of product to be put up. The male employee continued to stock other items while I was a few feet away struggling to move the stack, so eventually I decided to go elsewhere to purchase what I needed. Also felt like another male employee or manager was following me from a distance when I first got in to make sure I wasn't shoplifting, so all in all, a great visit. read more

The hours are good, one of the few places in Ventura that stays open past 6 pm in case you need benadryl cream for a rash, vodka at a decent price, shampoo, or a snack or two. This store has its own parking lot with entrances off Seaward and Jordan Avenue. The store really pushes the self-serve checkout unless you are buying alcohol because a live person must then check id. read more

Very rude. I just got out of the hospital last night and need to rest as much as possible. I arrive at opening to get my medications and was immediately received an attitude by one of the clerks. They mis quoted the time when my meds would be ready. Told me probably an hour and a half. I leave drive home 20 mins away and receive a text when I walked in the door that they were ready. Drove immediately back when I could've waited in the lot. I come back and receive more disrespect and condescending attitudes. Not good. They dont notify me when rx is ready, and its almost impossible to get a human on the phone if you call. Also, their automated system doesnt let you push buttons. You have to speak to use it. Makes it a challenge because my kids are loud and it picks up what they are saying and their system confused and hangs up. read more

Worst experience ever. I had covid , was very sick & went to ER-they sent an electronic Rx. There were only a few patients while I was there waiting. They were very rude. They told me repeatedly that they hadn't received the Rx. I called ER 4 x to resend. They told me they had the med in stock, then told me they didn't, then told me "maybe " they had it. Finally I called my regular MD and he called them. After that they finally gave me the med. very nasty. I was there over an hour. read more

There was a time when you went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist knew your name, you health history, your prescription history, it's called personal customer service, and there is no substitute for it. CVS Pharmacy? Never going to happen. One of the worst companies out there. They basically have taken over the pharmacy landscape and they suck. They send you texts about your prescription that are auto generated by their software, they suck, and are usually incorrect. Algorithms instead of people, profits over people, every time. This results in my having to make several trips to CVS for one prescription because the people who work there don't have any idea what is going on with me, they only know what they read on the computer screen, and it appears that information is usually incorrect, in my experience anyway. I really don't appreciate them wasting my time. This is corporate America, they don't care about you, your health, their employees or anything, except the bottom line. Profit, profit, profit, and screw you, your family, your health and anything else they need to in order to squeeze a few more pennies out of your pocket, and yet they wonder why they can't get anyone to work for them. I am actively seeking out a alternative pharmacy and will be glad to spend a little more money in order to receive even minimal customer service. read more

The pharmacy team works hard to make sure every transaction is unpleasant. I was in twice over two days and each time the interaction was disdainful. On both occasions I was greeted with 'this is the wrong window'. On both occasions the order was filled and ready (normally this would be a five star in and of itself) - but the out right unpleasant unfriendly attitude of the pharmacist, and the associates was inhuman and off putting. Literally the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I am the GM of a restaurant and have spent my life in customer service. I have never encountered such awful service. I went in for a simple even exchange. Apparently cvs doesn't do that. Jonathan, the 20 something clerk behind the counter proceeded to tell me "this is life, you have to follow the rules." Overall the employee and the manager were rude, condescending and argumentative. This has been my neighborhood pharmacy since they've opened. At the beginning it was a great pharmacy. But recently it has not been pleasant dealing with the pharmacist, all the technicians are friendly and know me well, but the recent change in pharmacists are not. I've had problems waiting for my prescription and questioning me regarding my prescriptions, also making pill count mistakes. Maybe CVS is not keeping their pharmacist happy??? Or maybe they are just not happy? I have been hesitant to leave a review and I will not mention names, I am sure they know who they are. I don't shop at CVS for a reason, one of of them is they are outrageously expensive. However I needed some prints made for Christmas. They came in with my boyfriends forehead cut off. I didn't realize until I got home, my bad for not checking! Where is the quality check? I took them back reluctantly because they were a gift and I was leaving the next day. They game me some credit but didn't make it right so I had nothing. I gave them back the two 2"x2" phots and 5"x5" Magnet. I had nothing now and I was disappointed as I told them I was going to order more but I needed something to give as a temporary solution. They just throw it all away. I left the store and then had to go back because I noticed they didn't give me full amount refund. A bunch of clowns work here. Decided to stop in for the first day opening, they are still putting up the sale signs to match the weekly ad, but the clerk assured me to please ask if I had any questions. Because this store was once a grocery store, the aisles are spaced out nicely to give a person room to breathe. Cosmetics, Health & wellness, pet supplies, and other household Essentials. The store has a refrigeration unit with beverages, ice cream, dairy for those moments when you just don't want to go to the grocery store. Ample parking and both a front and back entrance to the store All in all a nice addition to the area and I'm sure this will be my go to place for those moments when you say, oh no I need "fill in the blank". read more

This used to be my go-to for vaccines. However on two separate occasions, I asked to use a restroom, and both times was told, "I'm sorry the restroom is out of order at this time." Not sure how you expect vaccine customers to show up with an appt, wait to be vaccinated, wait 15 minutes after a vaccine, and not ensure you have a bathroom available. Both times I left before the 15 minutes so I could drive to a restroom. Also, not sure if, or how, this is even legal, but I'll just go elsewhere in the future. On the bright side, the vaccine itself went well. read more

Customer service is definitely not their core strength. They have been rude, haughty, and unhelpful in the past. However in the last week, they have gone that extra mile to be truly annoying and inconvenient. I can't drive right now and have to send people to get my RX's. Twice in the last week, the people couldn't pick them up for one reason another. The 1st reason was the pharmacist had to be there to dispense, which they didn't bother to tell me when I called to be sure of an easeful experience for my errand runner. That would have been helpful to know. Today they told my friend that there was no RX at all. The doctors office had called the day before to say it was submitted. I should have phoned first to be sure it was filled, but my friend went there at 10:30 and they said no. Then later that afternoon I got a text saying my RX was ready... Really? How did that happen? Per the manager the order was on the voicemail. Hmmm, the doctor called me at 3:30 on Friday. It was 10:30 on Saturday. Don't you think you might want to transcribe your voicemail a little more often?? So, now I have to find someone else to go back there. I am now in the process of finding a new pharmacy. Life is hard enough, I don't need more difficulties from my pharmacy. read more

Went to Pharmacy Consult window. Asked him to tx one of my prescriptions to this pharmacy as I am in Ventura until Saturday, hours from home, needed my blood pressure med now. He told me it would be 24 to 48 hours to get this done. I was the only person in the store that I could see. So I called CVS at a nearby location, they were immediately wonderful, took my info and will pick up my BP meds in an hour. read more

This pharmacy has a new manager -- Mike. He seems to lack all basic knowledge of the medications in his pharmacy, where there come from, or how they're ordered. He does not care about just switching up peoples' controlled substances or recognize the anxiety that causes. He is incompetent, inexperienced, rude, and has absolutely no compassion or people skills. When I came in with a very legitimate concern about one of my medications, the accusatory, condescending manner in which he treated me was beyond reproach. I have been getting multiple monthly prescriptions filled here for nearly 2 years, but will likely be taking my business to Walgreens from now on. I tried to pick up a prescription yesterday at CVS. A rather important one that is time sensitive. The woman at the pharmacy counter said, and I quote, "If you don't put a mask on we will not serve you." Never once did she consider or ask me if maybe I have a medical exemption. She just barked at me with her orders. I replied, "ok", and walked out. I will now move my prescription to another pharmacy, and CVS will never receive a dime from me--Not for hairspray, or TP, or deodorant, or anything else they sell. I will never walk through their doors again. Hope it was worth it. Masks aren't political. Mandates aren't laws. Some people have medical reasons for not wearing one. Something they should remember before they publicly humiliate their customers by yelling across the store at them.
