We are happy to have found the great staff from the old medicine shoppe on Thompson here. Parking is behind the pharmacy that faces on to Loma Vista, tucked between other buildings. They helped me find what I was looking for on their shelf, and we get our prescripions filled here. Much more personal service at reasonable prices. If they can't fill a prescription at a lower price, they will tell me, and recommend filling it at CVS, but I prefer doing business here. read more

Roger's Pharmacy gets an A+ from us. (Hey, that rhymes.) Why, you ask??? Let me tell you. I called ahead to see if they had my hubby's special asthma inhaler. Rite-Aid on Thompson would have to order it. I've always wanted to patron this family owned pharmacy (conveniently located next to the hospital and doctors' offices). We noticed that there was a line of people outside entering through a different door. I assumed Covid-19 vaccines. We entered the pharmacy and handed over the prescription. Even with our EPIC VUSD dual insurances, our cost was over $100... something like $117. I was about to take back the prescription when my husband said, I really need it to breathe. This inhaler, Breo Ellipta, is working well for my husband's lung infection/undiagnosed issue. The sweet lady behind the counter said, Let me call your doctor for you. Maybe we can substitute or get the price down. The lady was able to get the price down to $73.94, with a coupon. Yea!!! Thank you very much. We also bought a greeting card. As we were checking out, I asked which vaccine are you giving out. The answer was Johnson & Johnson. Wait What???? That is exactly the vaccine that my husband is holding out for. The past 2 weeks we have not been able to get a spot from venturacountyrecovers.com. Another kind female said to my husband, I will put you on the list and give you a call when we have an appointment for you. I left there elated!!! Roger's is my new pharmacy!! Woo Hoo. THIS business/pharmacy puts CVS and others to shame. Their staff is not only professional, courteous, attentive, they know what the heck they are doing. Unlike staff at the larger (supposed more glamourous facilities) they make you feel human, rather than a branded cow. Answers to questions come quickly, and they are always on when it comes to filling you prescriptions; they call you even before you can call them. What more could you ask for? read more

Rogers pharmacy is very reliable when in comes to prescriptions. Other drugstores give me problems because my brother has 2 insurances but rogers can handle it! The only reason they aren't getting a 5 from me is they're staff. Every time I go to Rogers the staff is very unprofessional. Wearing jeans and t shirts, hair messy, eating in front of customers, etc. When I go to a pharmacy I expect to see professionalism not a bunch of people lazing around. read more

Please READ before you consider using them! This longtime family busness recently sold to new owners. New owner and pharmacist are a disservice to the industry. The last three months have been consistant with lost prescriptions, mis information and having to return multiple times. Today was typical, the electronic prescription was sent from the Dr's office 6 days ago. I called Rogers and was told, "we never received it." I called the Dr and they confirmed the time/ date it was sent and confirmation it was received. Because of the continual issues, I transferred other prescriptions elsewhere. The pharmacist told me, they would not fill this prescription unless I transferred all of my perscriptions back to them. My Dr. could not believe they would say this, he called and was told the same thing. Good luck to you if you choose this pharmacy. read more

OMG! There is no better pharmacy than this place. Where do I even start?! 1. My sons medicine wasn't covered by my new insurance so I was frantically searching for a coupon or discount code and when I got there they had already seen it wasn't covered and searched it and applied a coupon and saved me over THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! It only cost me $20! The staff is so kind and so helpful! And then I have an anti inflammatory medication that i take only when I have flare ups so a month supply usually lasts me about three to four months but they didn't know that. They called me a week before the normal refill to see if I wanted them to refill it. I said oh no I'm good I still have a lot they said ok we will follow up later!!!! I have never experienced customer service this amazing with any pharmacy ever. They are THE best! They're open mon - fri close at 6 and maybe that's an issue for some but I will never go to another pharmacy again. Th am you to the staff you are all so helpful and wonderful! read more

I still go here but it sucks one day they tell me a script can be filled then the next when im there to pick up they say it cant be done till another day and it sucks, ive been recently diagnosed with crohns and muscle damage, and they dont seem to care about my condition and refuse to call my doctor to confirm that i need the medication that day not 4 days later, the only reason i go here still is because there the only place that opens before i work and doesnt make me wait an hour for something to be filled. read more

I switched from Rite-Aid to Roger's because I heard about the more personal service, it was a bit closer, and the drive-thru was nice too. It's true, Roger's is better than a large chain pharmacy, and a little faster as well. However, I will never use Roger's again. Here's why - I was told it might take 2 days to refill a prescription. This was the day before Thanksgiving. I had a couple days of meds left, so I figured that I'd get it on Friday (day after thanksG). I was never told that they were closed the day after Thanksgiving - which would have been nice to know when she told me "it might take 2 days". And then, voila! - they are closed on weekends. So, it'll be 3 full days without medication for yours truly, which means, I'll be hoppin' on the bus to Crazy Town this weekend. Back to Rite-Aid from here on out. I prefer to support small local business, but when it comes to medicine, I'm goin' WalMart-style from now on. read more

Rogers rocks! Quick, accurate and friendly service. I love the drive-thru feature when I have a sleeping kid in the car. I refuse to go to CVS, Target, Rite Aid or any other big name pharmacy. You have to wait forever to get the prescription filled and its usually wrong or they failed to apply insurance. The pharmacist at CVS once prescribed triple the medication I was supposed to give my 3 year old daughter - thankfully I caught it! That never would have happened at Rogers and their prices are the same as the Big Guys. And I like the jeans....its Ventura. C'mon! read more

I went to this pharmacy on my lunch break and I was new to the pharmacy. As many of you know this could be a long and complex process at your regular CVS or Rite Aid but here they only asked a few questions and for my ins card. The staff welcomed me as a customer and said my meds would be ready in a few minutes. Everyone behind the counter was busy doing something and filling prescriptions promptly. I was there for a total of 10 minutes. The staff is friendly, attentive, and fast. They show a sense if urgency for those who wait for their prescriptions and they make other pharmacies look blah. As I walked out I saw a sign that said they deliver for $5. This is excellent for some people who are too sick to drive or just to busy to pick them up. I will definitely be back! read more

The staff at Roger's Pharmacy is so helpful! I was in Ventura visiting friends and found I didn't have enough of an important medication. I had no luck getting help from any of the bigger pharmacies in Ventura, but the people at Roger's went the extra mile to help me get my prescription temporarily transferred, so I could get my medication. i went to rodgers pharmacy today for the first time. the was an employee there i did not catch his name but i do know he was an intern there. i heard him yelling at someone on the phone. the person on the phone repeatedly told him he did not want to talk to him he wanted the manager or the owner. the intern put him on hold, came back to the phone and pretended to be someone else. the intern continued talking and yelling at the person on the phone. i could hear the other person continuing to to tell he he wanted to talk to someone else. from what i could hear the intern had overcharged him almost double and tried to justify it. "next time shop around" this upset me so much i choose to go elsewhere, yelling at customers is no way to do business neither is insulting them or lying to them! i'm letting all my friend know rodgers pharmacy is not a good place to do business. the way the intern talked to the man on the phone and pretended to be someone else is very upsetting. alexis read more

My family has been going to this pharmacy since the 1950's. They have a drive through so you do not have to get out if you are sick or if you do not want to leave a sick or elderly family member. They explain everything, are always more than kind, beyond helpful, just the best. If you want people who will remember who you are, what your elderly parent's issues are, who always follow up, who always respond in a timely manner and who do not treat you like a number, this is your place. If you want to be treated like family, this is your place. If you want people who are forced to wear uniforms, and if that is your criteria of service, good luck to you. I love Roger's Pharmacy! The people there are friendly, professional and good at what they do.

Sadly, Rogers like many pharmacies is going downhill.. After filling a prescription of a higher dose for many years they now won't even fill it for 1/2 the amount. I was paying over $300 each month. They said they would match other pharmacies prices and it was reduced to 140. I noticed a decline in speed, helpfulness (the Pharmacist) and began getting constant excuses why they can't fill it.(They called the Doctor to "verify" the doctor wants me to have the meds that day even though its dated for that day. My meds would be late because the Doc can't call every pharmacy to verify every prescription. What is the point of a prescription if they need to talk to the doctor every time? I don't know if it was the lack of excessive profit or the "pain meds" phobia but either way its to bad because I have referred many people there. (-I want to say the people that work there are nice, friendly and honest. But they have no control over what the owners/Pharmacists do.-) read more
