First off: the staff here are nice. However, it's nearly impossible to get a prescription on time or any product that you need. I just came home with a mouthguard because I've been clenching my jaw at night and it's giving me headaches. There was no mouthguard in the package. This incident isn't the first of the weirdness from this particular CVS location. I've been here with a couple fairly standard easy to fill prescriptions that seem to never be ready. There is no reason to ever go to this CVS location. NEVER. It's impossible to get what you need and most of it is stolen and shitty. The Jon's next door is a great place to buy some salami or chicken breasts or maybe a little Armenian brandy. But, please, please, NEVER go to this CVS. It's a very bad place. The people working this pharmacy used to be kind and cool. Alas, it seems that good people cannot last at any CVS anymore. Just google "#boycottCVS," and you'll see why. I believe this place is under new management, because they have changed. The last time I brought in my prescription, which I've been filling there for years, I was lied to and belittled. They argued that the refill date was not the refill date, that I had to wait for no discernible reason. When I asked them to look at my history to see the dates of all previous refills, I got yelled at that they were "too busy." At 7 in the morning. With nobody else there. Then, the horrible woman mocked me for needing the medication in the first place. Funny thing was, when I brought it to another pharmacy, it got filled immediately no problem. Apparently, if Rando Judgemental Pharmacist doesn't think you should be taking any given medicine, then they will just plain lie to you. Just about the worst pharmacy ever you can call them and end up holding for 20 minutes and when they pick it up they'll ask you to hold again and maybe come back 10 minutes later and usually they can't even help you with whatever you need. They told me I could drop off a prescription there in the drop off drive thru container, when I got there they told me it's not working, do you mind getting in the other line! I'm in my car I waited for a half hour on the phone, yes I do mind! I must say I have had too many bad experiences at this pharmacy I would never recommend it ever, go somewhere else! read more

EVERY time I go here, the lines are long and it takes forever. Yesterday I went to pick up a prescription at the drive through. After telling me, right away, they'd be right with me, they ignored me for 10 minutes. I started honking because I was so annoyed, and was still ignored. I drove away. Then I called and sat on hold for the pharmacy for 5 minutes till they cut me off. Dear CVS: Here's an idea: communicate. Had I known it would have been a long wait, I might've just come back later. I certainly wouldn't have burned fuel for that long waiting for you. TALK TO US..... especially when we're outside and can't see the "crowds" already waiting. Ask most women what their favorites stores are and they'll recite a laundry list of designer apparel shops, jewelry boutiques, or staple mall favorites. Not me. My favorite place to shop is CVS. Specifically, THIS one. CVS affords a wide array of eye-candy. There are brightly lit rows upon rows of slick packaging promising that I WILL be thinner, younger, and more beautiful. I'd venture a guess that it is probably the North Star of Van Nuys, gleaming brighter than any other establishment in the vicinity. (Sounds of angels HERE.) The best part of all is that I can mindlessly wander through aisles, flippantly tossing things into my handle basket without all that pesky guilt about spending money getting in my way. I mean, it's not really "shopping" when you're buying necessities, is it? (Note: Shampoos that make my hair shinier, glimmering lip gloss, the newest wrinkle serums, and musical greeting cards are all "necessities.") What's not to love about a place where you can get your prescription medication, mechanical pencils, trashy magazines, Q-tips, dog food, styling tools, and this season's sensational eyeshadow quad all in one place...at 2:30 in the morning? I woke up thursday morning with a uti and I had left over bactrim that i got last year. But i moved to california recently and had no one to help me. I called this CVS Pharmacy 3 in the morning and spoke to Tammy the Pharmacist told her I have a uti and asked how many times a day should i take bactrim. Tammy was so caring and sweet in her voice, she made me feel like she really cares like a mother. She told me twice a day and wished the best for me. Friday i was having extreme pain so much so that even AZO wasnt helping with the symptoms. I had to double up on AZO just to feel any comfort. By Saturday i was getting lower back pain which i thought it was from sleeping bad. Lukily for me i had 800mg of IBuprofen pills but i wasnt sure if i could take that with bactrim and azo. So I called CVS and spoke to a different Pharmacist during the day shift. I wanted to explain what was going on and he cut me off with a i dont care attitude and just said the go see a doctor without really listening to me. So i called another place and they said i can take IB with azo n bactrim. So Sunday my lower back hurt alot to the point just standing was painful and i felt like i was going to throw up all day. I called CVS again and thankfully spoke to Tammy again and I told her the details and she said I need to go to the ER like RIGHT NOW its a kidney infection in a bad stage. She was so helpful and told me where to go and where it wouldnt be so busy. So I went, after all that i went to her with the prescriptions, Tammy was right and I was so thankful to her and her help i was given strong antibiotics for kidney infection. It was my first time there and she was super nice and even gave me a discount!. Tammy is super sweet and really caring God bless her! I will always go to her and get my medications there bec it was above and beyond amazing service! I hope she gets a raise! :D read more

I wish I could put 0 stars so bad. I went to pick up my medication (because I had a parasite and needed medication to kill it) and they not only typed my information wrong, but didn't even give me my medication. They said my insurance didn't go through and when I waited over an hour to speak to them again with the insurance company woman this time they refused to talk to her to see what the issue was. There was no issue they refused to take my insurance card and refused to talk to the insurance company representative, and on top of that refused to give me my medication. Even without the insurance they should've gave me my medication with a fee. When die it will be CVS who killed me refusing to give me my medication for the parasite I have in my body. read more

Pharmacy is very busy, but that is no excuse for horrible service. My wife has serious medical issues and has 15+ prescriptions over an extended time period. Call for refills a week ahead of time but the pharmacy waits until following Friday to order, they don't come in until the next Monday at earliest, leaving her short on her prescriptions. Have brought this up with the pharmacist numerous times, they don't seem to give a shit. read more

Do Not Use This Pharmacy!!! Other CVS pharmacies are bad but this is the absolute worst!!! After waiting in a line 4 cars deep in the drive thru line at 10:00pm. We waited 10 minutes at the window then were told they don't take insurance cards in the drive thru. Inside only. Huh!?! Went inside to find 15 people in line. Alex from the drive thru told us to wait in the drop off line which, had a "next window" sign in it. We told him it said "next window" and the other woman said "yes, it's closed because he is leaving, his shift is over". He wouldn't process my insurance card when I was in my car because then he wouldn't have been able to go home. Alex left and so did we. This review is about the pharmacy only. Lines are always too long and customer service is severely lacking and apparently so is their training. They misinformed me about how to transfer prescriptions from another CVS pharmacy. Once I got my script there they filled my prescription wrong; they gave me one pill not a full month. WHO DOES THAT?? I had waited 45 minutes in line to drop it off and then waited more to get that script, and THEN had to go back and wait more to get them to fill it right. I was preparing to go out of town and work 50-60 hrs per week so this was a major fucking inconvenience. When I called to complain they didn't care that they'd fucked up, and said something to the effect that it wasn't their fault because it was probably "the system". I hate to be petty but don't you have to be a PharmD or in pharmacy school to work there? Meaning you have completed undergrad and are either in or have finished a doctoral level program??? How then can one explain the stupidity of these people??? Are they just really stoned? I'm still livid and have since moved on to a different CVS pharmacy. When the new CVS looked at my account history the debacle was documented wrong so he had to decode it and get it correct. I'm ready to move on to a different company altogether at this point. You *should* buy shower gel elsewhere, where it's cheaper; but let's be serious: you can't resist the possibility of witnessing a crazy person storming in talking gibberish while you're standing waiting for the cashier. No seriously, that happened only once -- I do have something productive to add. :-) I came here recently to get pH saliva testing sticks, and of course, asked the Jewish guy at the counter. I can't remember his name, but he was VERY genuinely kind. He didn't find any and he offered to find out and get bak to me. After calling their supplier, he left me a voicemail message, just to say that they didn't carry them. I mean, a courtesy call these days is so rare. I love the photo center here. When you first register online, you get 25 free 4x6 prints so every time you place an order, they deduct from that 25. And express pick up is very quick and never takes more than an hour. It's more like 30 minutes, unless your order is huge. But they always seem understaffed here. Every time I come here, there's a huge line and only 2 people working the registers and they're all so slow! And the pharmacy technicians are so miserable with their lives that they provide the worst customer service. Plus, they've been charging me twice as much on my prescriptions than Walgreens! So 4 stars for the photo center, 1 star for the employees, and 1 star for the pharmacy = 2 stars. read more

The cashiers are very rude and and confrontational especially the guy with a red dyed short hair. Was there looking for some lipstick and Gigi came to help us out. While we were being helped a elder man needed help so she excused herself and was helping him out. Her energy was so amazing and he was able to get some help with a product he was looking for and she even recommended something that was going to treat his skin better. And based off her energy he was able to feel comfortable to tell her what she needed and trust what she recommended. It is too dark and it doesn't really look inviting, sorta like a doctors office. Some have doctors office look like I'm walking into a funeral kinda like this place. This is by far, the worst pharmacy in the entire San Fernando Valley!! They are rude, lazy & incompetent. Zero consideration for customers! I had to keep going through the drive thru with my very sick child because the pharmacist didn't understand the simple prescription for amoxicillin. The staff at the Urgent Care were also frustrated because they had to give the same instructions, multiple times... No chewable, then give a liquid. Simple!
