This CVS is the first retailer in this shopping plaza. It is very well stocked. They even have fresh roses by the register. Most of the new releases are already on the shelves, no special displays. I was very surprised to find Pat McGrath Makeup at this CVS. Pat McGrath is a high end brand I typically find at Sephora. Additionally they also have some high end skincare here. I haven't used their pharmacy or their photo department. This is a nice CVS I would be sure to return to in the future.

I don't…read moreuse the drive up window and I don't think I have waited for than 5 minutes to pick up a prescription. Occasionally some one in front of me doesn't understand the process or there insurance but that is not the pharmacies fault. I always renew my precriptions using the Walgreens App. On occasion when I get a prescription that is not covered by insurance they are quick to find another way to discount the medication. 99% of my medications are covered with zero out of pocket for me. I don't buy much else here but when I need something they usually have it,

I inserted the items into the bag and the girl at the register asks "would you like to buy some tape to seal your bag?" Keep in mind, there is a packing tape gun sitting on the counter behind her, which I make reference to. And the Asst Manager (bald guy with glasses and a goat-tee) who is sitting at the counter says to "Oh, that's the store tape, we don't use it for customers.' I just bought a $4 shipping bag and you want me to spend another $6 on tape because you won't use a 4 inch piece of tape from the "store tape?" Great customer service. I will never shop at this store again.

I stopped by the Avon Walmart to pick up some necessities like toothpaste and tissues. This is a…read morepretty big Walmart, with a substantial sized parking lot. They don't have a full grocery section, but you can find flour, oil, seasonings and some other "dry" items. The shelves are all very well stocked. This Walmart is a bit behind on some of the latest releases. Prior to going to the store you may utilize the store locator on their website, to identify which location has your item in stock. Currently, in mid October they have all of the Halloween items out and Christmas too. If that doesn't tell you it's a big Walmart, well it's big. I typically find what I need and go to the register. It's unlikely that I'd find someone looking to be helpful. Overall, not a bad Walmart.

It was a bittersweet goodbye as I ended my 12 year relationship with this Walgreens pharmacy…read moreyesterday. Catalyzed by the treatment I received over the phone by a pharmacy tech who was irked by the fact I wanted to follow my doctor's recommendation to start taking a new dose of my medication. After a day of it not being filled, I called to inquire on the status of the prescription. I was told that "they didn't have it in stock and to not expect it until tomorrow after 3 pm". When I asked if they could transfer the new rx to the other Walgreens- just as they regularly do to me for other prescriptions- the woman grew incredibly volatile with me, and scolded me that it was a "narcotic" and to not bother them again until 3 pm the next day. I called my physician to ask them what my course of action should be since I was denied my prescription, yet again. Prescriptions not being in stock at this Walgreens and making me wait days to over a week started becoming an alarming new "normal". I've always been polite and cooperative regarding this Walgreens' problems. I did not deserve to be yelled at like some drug seeker because I tried to find out what was going on with my prescription that was delayed several times. My physician called this Walgreens, and was told that yes, the medication was in fact in stock, and that all was ok and I could pick it up. So, how come it wasn't available until *after* 3 pm the NEXT day for me, but was in stock and ready to fill when the doctor called? Was the prescription my physician faxed over not good enough? With the differing results, I had it with Walgreens. I've only been really patient and super kind with this extremely large pharmacy that never seems to have prescriptions in stock, and I've only been met with apprehension, curtness, and rudeness. My doctor's office was so extremely understanding. They, too, were put off by this pharmacy's antics and how they both lied to me and talked down to me like I was such a bother. My doctor's office then helped me transfer everything over to Beacon Pharmacy- our small-town pharmacy. Within 30 minutes, my prescription was ready. A few hours later, at my convenience, I drove down and got it. Everyone at Beacon was super kind, and no one talked down to me for having questions. I stayed with this Walgreens so long because I didn't realize there was a better way I could be treated as a patient. I thought pharmacists and pharmacy techs were short and rude to all- because that's all I've ever seen from the Walgreens staff. I wish I switched 10 years ago.

We've been picking up our prescriptions here ever since we moved to Connecticut. The men and women…read morebehind the counter have changed over the years, but the service has remained consistently excellent and downright friendly. Years ago, I would call their automated system for Rx renewals, then I switched to their automatic renewal plan where they handle the refills, and I get an e-mail when something is restocked. Easy Peasy. Because I live so close to Stop and Shop, and it seems we end up inside the store 3 times a week, its always super convenient for us to do business here. And their hours are pretty darned convenient too- open 8-8 during the week and 9-5 on the weekend.

After one terrible experience at a medical supply store in West Hartford and one not so great one in Torrington, Medicare sent me here. Now, usually I would have been extremely upset... Medicare sent me here, and they cannot even take my insurance for a wheelchair, due to new insurance regulations. This gentleman was the kindest and most helpful person I have met in a long time! He knew all the information that no other medical supplier knew (or at least shared with me!). He printed up all the information that I needed for the medical suppliers that I needed to contact. He also made a suggestion for the exact one that I should go to! I wish there was more people like him in this world! Helpful, kind and super friendly!! I would recommend Better Health LLC to anyone who is looking for a medical supply store!! One suggestion for consumers, call first if you have Medicare. Under the new Obamacare, some laws have changed and they only can cover certain items. That's the downside, but i called Medicare and THEY sent me there! Honestly, a blessing in disguise. I don't have time to deal with this unnecessary frustration. This is simply corporate greed to understaff the pharmacy for even more profit. I've not had a problem with the actual pharmacy employees, but they seem to be overworked. I'll be moving my prescriptions elsewhere.

I've never used the pharmacy, but for the store part it has everything I look for in a CVS I don't regularly frequent: Well stocked holiday decor and candy, variety in regular snacks and drinks, and on the right day, at least part of an aisle of clearance. Thankfully they weren't forcing use of a self checkout.
